To my T'Wolve followers, sad news on why I haven't updated, went to play a game on sunday and my file wouldn't load up. Been throwing around a few ideas of maybe running with the Knicks, Grizzlies, T'Wolves (again?). Going to make my mind up tonight..

2. I'm sure they do even though I didn't pay much attention to it. Also in Bulls Association that I simmed several seasons I found a pretty good prospect in the D-Leauge that was a SG, and since our guards was were playing hurt I decided to use him mid-season in my second season. Well he contributed well and his rating went from 61 to like 65 in my next season.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I put together my best team yet. After simming the 1st season, I got the 2nd pick in the draft. With the 2nd pick, I drafted Kyrie Irving. With my 2nd rounder, I drafted Nolan Smith.
In free agency, I got the crown jewel in Carmelo Anthony and also signed a serviceable big in Tyson Chandler.
So, I didn't want Harris as my point guard of the future, so I traded Harris, Damion James, and a first rounder for Lamarcus Aldridge of the Blazers. I figured it was fair, since Andre Miller left for the Heat, and they just signed Glen Davis and Kris Humphries.
I then traded Travis Outlaw, who was unhappy with his new role with Melo around, to the T-Wolves for Lazar Hayward straight up. They needed more production at that spot. I'm no longer stuck with that contract. I also ended up signing Joe Alexander, knowing he'd be happy with a Bench Warmer role. So my depth chart looks like this:
Kyrie Irving/Jordan Farmar
Anthony Morrow/Nolan Smith
Melo/T. Williams(I prefer him off the bench)
Aldridge/Derrick Favors
Lopez/Chandler
My goal is to bring a championship to New Jersey in its final 2 years.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
For our 3rd season the Clippers shocked the league by finishing 33-25, a division best record, which meant the playoffs for the 1st time in 7 years. Unfortunately for the young Clippers their 2013 post season run ended at the hands of the Mavericks in the 1st round. LA had lost starting point Bledsoe to a back injury meaning he would miss the series which meant Brandon Knight had to step up, while also meaning Eric Gordon was the only player who could effectively spell him at Point so that mean less time for Gordon at the 2 meaning he was less effective although Bullock did do well.
The finals ended in a Oklahoma victory over consecutive runner up Milwaukee 4 games to 2. With the 24th pick in the 2013 draft the Clippers picked Forward DeShaun Thomas from Ohio State to provide cover when needed and to also develop in the D-League. After a trade with Detroit, LA gained Detroit's 2nd round pick for their 2nd round pick and Luke Harangody. With Detroits pick the Clippers took Centre Josh Smith from UCLA after the scouts raved about his intangibles and work ethic, Smith will back up Enes Kanter. The roster for the 2014 season looks like this:
PG: Bledsoe [78]|Knight[78]
SG: Gordon [85]|Bullock [75]
SF: Aminu [79]|Singler [78]
PF: Griffin [90]| Gobert [69]
C: Kanter [84]| Smith [68]
Any thoughts heading into the 4th season?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I think this game hates me. I just traded for Oden because i needed inside defense and he injures himself. I tried to block Gay's shot and just landed to ground and he went down. Torn ACL. Lebron also tore his achilles when i played against Miami.
One thing though, no star has left his team in free agency in my associations. Every one has taken a new deal even Melo after his nuggets missed the playoffs.Last edited by ONEFORALL; 12-07-2010, 07:55 PM.Comment

How do you use the rosters that have the pre-existing injuries in your association? I seem to start up a new association and the rosters are up 2 date but the pre-existing injuries are not in effect, I remember last year it would have them.Comment

#2) Yes they do improve when sent down to the D-League. On my association with the Cavs I sent Christan Eyenga down for the entire season. He gained +4 to his overall rating. I believe he was only playing about 6-8mins a game also.If flopping was rewarded in real life as it is in the NBA, I’d swerve into guard rails each time someone changed lanes in front of me. - Alan HahnComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
In the 4th season the Clipper finished 32-26, again making the playoffs, where they were yet again beaten in the 1st round, this time by the defending champs, Oklahoma. It was a tight game but Oklahoma edged it led by Kevin Durant, Westbrook and veterans Ray Allen and Tim Duncan. The Golden State Warriors ended their long wait for a title by defeating the Bulls 4-1, with Ellis getting the MVP.
With both picks in the 2014 draft LA selected 2 small forwards, Loren Rogers & Juwan Hoffman from Indiana State & Oregon State respectively. The reason for both of them was that Aminu was going to go into free agency and so it was precautionary measures in case another took away Aminu. Aminu had been upset at his reduced minutes due to the imporvement of Kyle Singler. In the end after a prolonged courtship with the Lakers of all teams, he signed a 5yr deal with the Clippers that'll pay him a generous 69.54M. The team heading into the 2015 season looks like this:
PG: Bledsoe [84]|Knight [83]
SG: Gordon [87]|Bullock [80]
SF: Singler[83]|Aminu [82]
PF: Griffin [93]|Thomas [72]
C: Kanter [89]|Gobert [74]
As you can see the teams is very strong this season and i think we could make some serious noise as long as we keep clear of injuries.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Wondering if the following trade I'm thinking of making would be fair. As the Cavaliers I would be trading Antawn Jamison and Anthony Parker to the Kings for a 2011 second round pick and Donte Greene. Would that be fair, or should I add a 2012 second round pick for the Kings to receive also. Thoughts?Last edited by Thelorn; 12-08-2010, 06:58 AM.If flopping was rewarded in real life as it is in the NBA, I’d swerve into guard rails each time someone changed lanes in front of me. - Alan HahnComment

Yes but just because the had the same amount of stars doesn't mean they were equal. Their overall rating is still taken into account when they are rated as high as he was.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just absolutely loving my Blazers franchise. Only 26 games into the season, but my team has already dealt with a great deal of adversary. After a strong 10-3 start my team was without: Matthews, Roy, Oden, and Aldridge; Batum and Fernandez were also injured, but still capable of playing some minutes.
My team then dropped to 10-9 as we lost 3 games in OT, and though we were still in games, we blew many leads due to not having a "go-to" guy down the stretch. We were also incapable of closing games out, and didn't have the scoring to comeback when behind.
Now that everyone, except for Oden, is healthy my Blazers have retaken first in the division with a 16-10 record, and are 4th in the Western Conference. Roy has been on a tear scoring 30 or more points in 3 of his last 5 games.
Now that everyone is healthy here is what my starting five looks like:
PG: Andre Miller
SG: Brandon Roy
SF: Wesley Matthews
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge
C: Marcus Camby
Bench:
Damion James SF/PF
Nicolas Batum SG/SF
Joel Przybilla C
Armon Johnson PG/SG
Also quick question as I still have not figured it out. How do you put players on the trading block? And another thing, Oden has an injury that is going to keep him out for at least another month yet his morale has dropped to 25 and he is requesting a trade. I can't comply with his demand for a bigger role with team if he physically can't play due to an injury.Last edited by rockman2k2; 12-08-2010, 01:45 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started up a Cavs association the other day.
In the first year I traded away Mo Williams, Varejao, Hickson and my 1st rounder to Denver for Billups and J.R Smith (both expirings).
Line up of :
Billups/Sessions/Gibson
Parker/Smith
Graham/Moon
Jamison/Powe/Moon
Hollins
Got the ECF, Billups beasted averaging 26 and 11, where i lost to the Heat lol
Second year I had a lot of cap space and Melo decided to join us, so I got him and Tyson Chandler to fill up my void at Center aswell as Tiago Splitter to back up Jamison. I simmed this entire season and tanked, ended up with #1 overall pick.
So after taking a monster 7'3 center, rated 76 B+ potential I made some FA signings. I filled up my SG hole with Alonzo Gee, and James Anderson (SA didn't exercise their option) two good young talents. I added Donte Greene and Kirk Hinrich to handle the point. Ersan Ilyasova was also a great pick up, spreading the floor for my monster down low.
So, after all these moves the Cavs are looking pretty good. My 2012/13 roster looks something like this.
Kirk Hinrich/ Daniel Gibson
Alonzo Gee/James Anderson (play similar minutes)
Carmelo Anthony/ Donte Greene
Ersan Ilyasova/Leon Powe
Rookie Center (7'2 76 OVR)/Shaq (mentor)/Rookie Center (7'3 54 OVR)
Currently sitting at 5-0.Last edited by Captive.; 12-08-2010, 02:58 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Currently sitting at 5-3 with my Spurs. I play 8 minute quarters, and that, for me is just perfect. Not to long, not to short.
The loss to Manu is finally starting to take effect as George Hill's play has slowed down a little. Luckily, Duncan is still playing well, and Parker is getting going.
I had a two game losing to streak to Charlotte and LAC of all teams, but turned it around against Philadelphia.
I have a tough stretch coming up, starting with @OKC, then home against Chicago, then @Utah.Comment
