Can someone recommend me the BEST settings for association? Like season length, d-leagues, chemistry, roles, quarter length. Need any and all opinions!

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

    NFL: New York Giants
    NCAA: Ohio State Buckeyes
    NBA: New York Knicks

simulation sliders, i prefer 10 min, if ur impatient try 8. Season length stick with 82, chemistry yes for realness, roles yes, quarter lenght 8-10, 12 is jsut to long unless you do game speed 100%.

Either way its all on your own preference man but if you plan to just simulate def do the sim sliders.

Hes well worth it losing 1st round picks on. Earlier you do it the better, before his trade value skyrockets. Only thing with him is youd have to develop on his attacking the basket but hed be a good cornerstone

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Think Im going to have to do a 30 team association... I really dont want to have to manage all the teams but with the way teams have been trading and signing in my assoc. has been atrocious... I usually sim the first season then start with the offseason to start working with my team.
I noticed on my Clippers' association the Thunder traded for Danny Granger among other questionable trades and signings. That is completely unrealistic so I started over. I keep "Allow CPU trades" off until the current date and then turn it on. So there is only a month left in the 1st season for the CPU to trade. Started a new Clips association and went through the same process and at the start of the new season the Thunder had traded for Danny Granger again already. That is extremely annoying to see one of the better SFs in the league on a team with Durant. Just gonna start a 30 team association and go ahead and make the draft pick trades for every team. Its crazy because I specifically remember 2K boasting a more realistic logic system for CPU teams in association before the game came out. So much for that!

My teams are based on guard play and scoring and require less than 10pts/gm from my bigs. Generally don't like to have PF and C making more than $6-9mil.

Amar'e has lived up to the 100 million dollars, he has 7 double doubles, has had alittle foul trouble, fouled out of 3 games one that was in late of the Timberwolves game we could have used his points even with Toney & Anthony each putting up 20 points off the bench. Tons of tight games we have pulled out a bunch but lost 2 or 3 we had in the bag. Gallinari has struggled from 3, shooting .23%.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I don't usually become this involved on a message board, but since I'm in Atlanta and been snowed in all week, I had the chance to get real familiar with 2K11. I just finished my first season with the Hawks and it was incredibly realistic, challenging and fun.

Too realistic and challenging since even though I had the #3 seed in the East, I suffered a 4-1 2nd round loss to the Celtics. I swept them in the regular season, but in the playoffs, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were unstoppable from mid-range to the three point line and KG found youth serum and beasted Josh Smith.

During the season, I traded Jamal Crawford (he had an expiring contract and I can't play with him) and Jordan Crawford for Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow (thinking his 3-pt shooting would be an asset but I can't hit shots with him to save my life).

Devin has been very good, but he is fragile as hell. I thought he would be my PG of the future since Bibby is getting old and Jeff Teague isn't there yet, but he was injured three times this year for 2-4 weeks including getting injured in the first game against the Celtics.

Now, I'm in the Off-Season, hoping to draft or find a quality Free Agent SF who can score (Marvin Williams is trash) or C to lock down my inside defense (thinking about trying to get Marc Gasol or Greg Oden). The pickings are slim though. I'll put an offer out for 'Melo, but I'm sure I can't afford him. I just need to add some pieces around a solid core of Joe Johnson (All-Star and a beast on Isolations), Josh Smith (1st Team All-Defense and All-Star) and Al Horford (All-Star snub...he should have made it over Brook Lopez). I have 0 scoring options off the bench (guess that was the downside of trading Jamal Crawford).

This is my first day out the house and all week and I can't wait to get home to start playing again. I've even been successful in convincing my wife to read her Nook Color next to me while I play so it doubles as quality spouse time.

He'd be great addition to any team but I don't think the wolves would trade him.

you'll be happy when you do, controlling all 30 teams takes alittle more time, but in the end you control all the trades, signings, draft picks which you know the AI has no logic.

Just made this team and we're ranked 2nd in the league. Running with the bulls, 29 games, and had the 10th pick in a serpentine draft.

                          PG Deron Williams
                          SG Jason Richardson
                          SF Wilson Chandler
                          PF Lamarcus Aldridge
                          C Marcus Camby

                          Dorrell Wright
                          JJ Barea
                          Zydrunas Ilgauskas
                          Thabo Sefalsosha
                          Taj Gibson
                          Keith Bogans

Just beat the suns in my 1st game. deron struggled with only 16 points on 7-19 shooting and 6 assists. Aldridge helped though with 26 points 15 rebounds 5 assists and 3 blocks.

Just started with the Wizards. Hoping to get Wall in the all-star team and making him one of the best PGs.
                            Here is my lineup

                            1. Wall/Hinrich
                            2. Aminu/Young
                            3. Lewis/Hayward/Howard
                            4. Blatche/Yi/Martin/Thornton
                            5. McGee

Have not played with Aminu yet but used Gordon Hayward and he scored 8 points in our first game.
McGee scored 12 points and 8 boards
Lewis got 16 points with 5 boards and 4 assists
Wall was a beast and got 34 points with 13 assists and 6 boards.
Those are the main people that stood out but i see some potential in Blatche and Young as good shooters.
We lost our first game against Orlando on pro with 10 minute quarters, 88-109. Dwight and Richardson were dominant. I hope to make playoffs as 6 seed or higher. Does anyone have any helpful comments or suggestions on what I should do?

EDIT: Am thinking of trading lewis maybe for a young center like Marc Gasol Who can backup McGee which will have aminu as starting SF
