I brought Jones and as I posted earlier lost Azubuike and Chandler.omg.Bad decisions it seems as I struggled the second year going to playoffs and now facing the Heat.
On topic now 3rd game at NY yesterday vs Miami (1-1).I started the game with the same tactical approach which gave me the big win at Miami. Now seems that the Heat have somewhat adapted.In-game saved for now at 3rd quarter being behind 66-64.Neither team managed to get away with a more than 4 points margin so far.Amar'e is unstoppable, the game is tight with too many FT (21 for NY at HT,19 for Miami).Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I drafted Irving, Williams, and Valuciunas in the 1st round. Picked up Smith and Malcom lee in the 2nd. I selected Irving with the #1 overall pick. I was set to pick Kanter with the 4th pick but the Blazers shook everything up my moving up to #2 and taking Brandon Knight. I figured the T-Wolves would pick Williams at #3 but they passed up on him and took Alec Burks and that's how Williams slipped to me at #4. I got back in the lottery to take Valuciunas because the warriors offered me their 2011 and 2012 1st rounds picks for Sessions.
I'm just about to start up a Cavs association and I've just been wondering do the coaches you hire have any effect on the team at all? Say I hire Larry Brown would my team get any kind of defensive boost? Or if I hire Don Nelson does my team get an offensive boost?
This morning I faced the Wizards in my Wolves association. They have a real athletic team now. It was a good game, it was close throughout. They ended up beating me also, they got their second win against me. I went in with the mentality like oh this a bad team again and they came ready to fight, they took it to me and got the W by like 3 points.
I just played the Grizzlies OJ Mayo went off on me with 26 points, Z-Bo and Gasp; was quite this game and Rudy Gay had about 25 points also. We came away with the win we was basically handling them the whole game, then at the end in the fourth they made a small little push cutting down their deficit to about 5 points.
But I need help. So last year when I simmed the full season I forgot all about keeping players happy. Now Kevin Love says "Why would I have any reason to resign with this team" Basically saying after the bad treatment last year, he's fed up and wants out. Darko is also in the same boat as Kevin. I have until the trade deadline to make Kevin happy and make him want to stay in Minny, but most likely I might not be able to do that. So I'm thinking of packaging Love and Darko to get some valuable pieces from them in a trade, instead of them just walking and I get left with a big middle finger in my face. Darko is upset because I gave his starting spot to Enes Kanter. The reason why I did this is because according to the ratings, Kanter is a 6 point upgrade. So who should I try to get for Love and Darko?
My current roster:
Luke Ridnour/Ricky Rubio
Wesley Johnson/Korver/Ellington
Michael Beasley/Shane Battier
Kevin Love/Anthony Randolph/Brian Cardinal
Enes Kanter/Darko/Anthony Tolliver
Any suggestions?Add me om PSN for a good game of basketball!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Got 3 games done to start my 3rd season, and off to a better start this season.
10-27-12 Vs Suns (Coach/sim)
Opened up the season with the Suns who had the worse record last season but landed the #2 pick, not #1. In this game i coach mode the first half, Simed the 2nd half. Suns rookie SG Byron Frankling making his NBA Debut killed us early and often, he had 21 at the half. Ended with 38 which could be a rookie record for a debut game. We just couldnt slow them down enough. The Suns also got big help from there #4 pick last year. Center Adrian Erickson who chipped in 10 and 10. Bright future for the Suns. They are still top heavy in the front court with guys like Erickson-Z.Randolph-C.Kaman-and even Robin Lopez. Look for them to trade a big for a starting PG... As there current PG is 62 overall. Suns went on to beat us 106--98. Brandon Roy gave us 28 points and 4 steals. Oden popped in a double double with 12 and 10. Wallace struggled with his shot going 3-12 with 9 points 7 rebounds.
10-29-12 Vs Chicago Bulls (coach/sim)
Blazers welcomed in Derrick Rose and the Bulls who were also coming off a season opening loss. It was close early after 1 it was Portland leading 21-20. In this game i coached first half simed 2nd half. in the 2nd quarter Portland turned it on. Scoring 37 points at one point they had gone on a 10-0 run. At the half the Blazers lead 58-45. The didnt slow down in the 2nd half scoring 68 points shooting 56%. Greg Oden And Gerald Wallace led the way for Portland with 20 points each, Its nice to see Greg get out there and score and dominate. Roy and Aldridge Combined for only 26 points but the Blazers still racked up 126 points which shows great depth. Matthews had 19 off the bench and so did Patrick Patterson, who had 19 points in 19 minutes. For the Bulls Derrick Rose was the only thing happening, He had 34 of the teams 99. Carlos Boozer netted only 15 points. Bulls drop to a surprising 0-2 start after the 126-99 loss
10-30-12 @ New Orleans Hornets (hoopscast sim)
The Blazers had there first road game of the season. a day after taking down the Bulls. Chris Paul of the Hornets was in foul trouble in the first half, But still ended with 29 minutes and 8 assist. However he was a poor 3-12 from the field. Emeka Okafor had a double double with 10 and 14. Portladn was actually out rebounded by the Hornets 48-36. LaMarcus Aldridge finally had a good game scoring 25 points with 3 blocks. Brandon Roy had 17 points and 7 assist. Wallace for Portland couldnt find the bottom of the basket missing all 7 shots going 0-7 he ended with 6 points and 7 rebounds. The Blazers went on to win 100-88. Now moving to a 2-1 record...
(Iam going to make a wild prediction) ill even post it in my dynasty blog thing. That within 4 season on here the Suns will win the Title, especially if they get a decent PG. There young players are already doing work. Franklin the #2 pick last draft just had 25 in his 3rd game. And Adrian Erickson who was 3rd for R.0.Y last season had another solid game 9 points 12 rebounds. plus they have Zach who i know is getting older, but they got Kaman, and anthony randolph They also just signed Martell Webster. I see this team going places even this season**)Youtube channel

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just dropped 51 with John wall on the pistons improving my record to 13-5. He might be the funnest player in the game to play with.
Here is my lineup and thier minutes
Wall 38 - Corey Joseph 10
Nick young 30 - Jordan Crawford 25
Rashard Lewis 30 - Tobias Harris 17
Andray blatche 30 - Trevor Booker 10
Javale McGee 30 - Jonas Valucinas 15
I am heavily scouting both Jared sullinger and perry jones for next years draft. I am looking for a scoring big man off the bench who can use the pick and roll and score off the low block. Which player would you rather?Last edited by Lyko; 06-23-2011, 08:45 AM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Well I was able to make quick work of the T'Wolves. We swept them 4-0 with all 4 wins by double digits. Our 2nd round matchup is against the Thunder. This will be a much tougher series than the last one. We don't matchup very well with them at all. Our biggest strength is our post offense with both Love and Cousins, but they have great post defense with Ibaka and Perkins. Westbrook is also one of the best defensive pgs in the league now.
I have already played game 1 of the series. We ended up losing at home 102-92. Cousins had a great game with 24 points and 7 offensive rebounds. Our post players ended up having solid games. It was our perimeter shooting that brought us down. Jimmer was 2-10 all from the 3 point line. Evans and Young were decent but our bench shooters struggled to get it going.
I think game 2 is now a must win for us. We can't go down 0-2 and expect to win both games in OKC to even up the series. I'll keep you guys updated.
The Kings just couldn't match up with the Oklahoma City Thunder. After losing the first 3 games, we were able to grab game 4 on the road, but they closed us out in 5. The Warriors beat the Thunder in the conference finals. The Bobcats shocked the world in the playoffs. As the 5 seed, they beat the Celtics in 7 games in the 1st round and then went on to sweep the top seeded Bulls in the 2nd. They nearly made it to the finals but lost to the Heat in 7. The Warriors beat the Heat in 6 to win the Championship.
The Kings were happy with the way the season went. They finished 1st in the conference in the regular season and improved their record from 35 wins the previous year to 50 this year. They were not satisfied however, and decided they still had some moves to make if they wanted to be a threat in the playoffs and not just a good regular season team. The Kings decided to trade away star power foward Kevin Love in the offseason. He just wasn't a great fit playing next to Cousins and despite his 83 potential, he wasn't progressing much in the offseason and he remained an 82. The Kings made a blockbuster deal the day before the NBA Draft.
Kings Recieve:
Patrick Patterson (84)
Patrick Mills (71)
Rockets Recieve:
Kevin Love (82)
Stelios Mancinelli (70 Generated Player)
Hassan Whiteside (62)
Kings 1st Rd Pick (26th)
This trade helps the Kings in many ways. They got a great PF in Patterson who now has a 91 mid range. He is a better fit to play with Cousins because he can just be a spot up shooter and he will knock down everything from 15 ft. Pick and pops with him and Tyreke should be lethal. We also get a great backup PG who really complements Jimmer well. Mills is very quick but he has also developed a great outside shot. He has 96 speed and 96 quickness so he will be great to come in and pick up the pace when Jimmer comes out. We also freed cap space because Patterson is only owed 3.11 million for 1 year where Love has a 4 year 55 mill. dollar contract. This will help us try to keep Cousins in the offseason.
We went after depth in free agency. We resigned Casspi (68) with the qualifying offer and signed Mbah a Moute (71) as a defensive speacialist off the bench. We also got Thiago Splitter (66) to fill up the roster. After such a great season, we had 125 reward points for training camps. I wanted to improve our defense, so I sent Jimmer and Thaddeus Young to the perimeter defense camp and Patterson to the big man defense camp. I also sent Mills to the combo guard camp to improve his passing. Overall our team went from the 8th overall team in 2012 to the 1st Overall in 2013.
2012 Roster
PG: Jimmer Fredette (73)/ Beno Udrih (66)
SG: Tyreke Evans (90)/ Marco Bellinelli (71)
SF: Thaddeus Young (79)/ Omiri Casspi (68)
PF: Kevin Love (82)/ Stelios Mancinelli (70)
C: DeMarcus Cousins (83)/ DeAndre Jordan (68)
New Roster
PG: Jimmer Fredette (75)/ Patrick Mills (71)
SG: Tyreke Evans (93)/ Marco Bellinelli (73)
SF: Thaddeus Young (81)/Mbah A Moute (71)/Omiri Caspi (68)
PF: Patrick Patterson (84)/Tiago Splitter (66)/ *Ivan Petrovic (62)
C: DeMarcus Cousins (87)/ DeAndre Jordan (69)
*Rookie from nsuplaya84's fictional draft class
I know this is long but there was one thing I wanted to ask you guys. Is there any way to make it where Jimmer plays PG but Tyreke Evans is the guy that mainly brings the ball up and runs the offense? Evans is in the 90s for handles and passing so it would be better to let him run the plays and have Jimmer spotted up kind of how the Hawks do with Joe Johnson and the Heat with LeBron. The only way I could think of is to just change the plays in my playbook to plays in the Hawks, Heat and maybe Trailblazers playbooks since they did that with Roy. Is there any other way to make Evans run the offense? If not what kind of plays would you guys recommend where Evans brings the ball up? Thanks for any suggestions and sorry this turned in to such a long post.Last edited by Tigers3; 06-24-2011, 02:37 AM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Breaking News: Blazers trade Wesley Matthews, David Harrison to the OKC Thunder for Frank Kelly and Patrick Mills. Blazers plan to release Mills..
The reason behind this trade is cause the Blazers feel they were never going to really be able to use Matthews in a way where he can fully show his true potential as he has spent most of the past 2 seasons as a 6th man, The Blazers receive Frank Kelley who was the #3 overall pick in last seasons draft. So the Blazers get another young guy with great potential. And a man who wont be asking for as many minutes. This opens up more time for Patrick Patterson and other starters. Some Fans were not happy with letting Matthews go, and to the Thunder of all teams.. But i think this will work out well for both teams.
Also in the NBA the Suns traded one of there many front court players. Robin Lopez was sent to Miami for PG Mario Chalmers. Which works our great for both teams.. Miami adds Lopez as there starting Center, and the Suns get there Starting PG. The Suns look like there going to be a tough test already.
