Traded Joe Johnson & a 1st rounder to Portland for Brand Roy (Year 1 of association)

        Great trade IMO.

Joe Johnson contract was going to kill me and he's also 5 years older than Brandon Roy who is a Star.

Roy fits my Hawks better anyways. Here's my starting 5

        Brandon Roy
        Jamal Crawford
        Mo Evans
        Josh Smith
        Al Horford

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

Started up my association and decided on being the Raptors. Was looking for another big man to go along with Barn, and decided for the heck of it to take a crack at Minnesota's Kevin Love. The guy has 90+ rebounding and since I don't really know much about basketball (its not high on my list of favorite sports), I figured I could use a guy like him.

So I told Minnesota that's who I wanted. Waited for a response and figured that for sure they'd probably want my created self (point guard, 73). They did the opposite of that and asked for Jose Calderon and Jarrett Jack. I didn't even think twice about accepting the trade, since I wanted Calderon off my books and this worked out just beautifully.

          Trade To Minnesota
          PG - Jose Calderon
          PG - Jarrett Jack

          Trade to Toronto
          PF - Kevin Love

            2011 First round pick

            Bucks get:
Gordon Hayward (who was sent to D league after like 2 games)
In the game, this is probably a good trade because since Hayward was a 1st round pick, he'll probably develop pretty decent, but in real life, I'd kill myself if Milwaukee did this. Ilyasova is so underrated. He plays his heart out, shoots the ball well, and can play the 3 or 4 pretty well. AND we lose our 1st round pick? No thanks.

                I'm the Thunder

                Thunder get:
                Andres Nocioni
                Jason Kapono
                Jodie Meeks
                76'ers 1st Rounder 2011

                76'ers get:
                Thabo Sefolosha
                Nick Collison
                some scrub I can't remember
                Thunder 1st 2011

I did this before the season started.

I wanted to shed some cap, and improve my 3 point shooting. I also improved my draft selection. After this trade, I'm now 5th in the NBA in 3pt shooting.

                  I trade:

DeMar Derozan (high potential and athleticism, decent defender)
Ed Davis (high potential and good rebounding)
Marcus Banks (decent outside shot, above average defender)
Erick Dampier (good defense and rebounding)

                  I get (from Pistons):

Ben Gordon (bad contract, but I want another good scoring option and a good defender)
Ben Wallace (old but good defense)
Will Bynum (decent defender and outside shooter)
                  Jason Maxiel (good rebounder)

Or I can just do this if it sounds better:

                  I trade:

DeMar Derozan (high potential and athleticism, decent defender)
Ed Davis (high potential and good rebounding)

                  What do ya guys think?
I don't see this as being a good trade for the raptors because they are def in rebuilding mode and both Derozan and Davis are pieces to build around for the future. Plus Gordon, the main player your getting in return isn't that great of a scorer to command both Davis and Derozan. Add his bad contract, which will hinder you from possibly signing the right free agents to surround derozan barnagni and Davis. I could trading a high potential prospect if your the Lakers or another playoff contending team that needs a second scorer, or a rebounder like Maxiell or Wallace. But as the raptors, I'd try to build around both Derozan and Davis who would be a nice complement to Bargnani because if you pair Gordon and Bargnani together, I don't think that tandem will be as potent as the Derozan, Davis, Bargnani trio would be down the road.

In the game, Anthony is significantly better than Granger, and they get Al Harrington to play the PF position too (as compared to Hansbrough and McRoberts). I'm just trying to rebuild the Nuggets. I figure Granger can be my #2 if I get this team to be good again (until then, he's kinda forced to be the #1 the way he was in Indy), and meanwhile the Pacers are suddenly a very solid team with Collison at the point, Melo on the wing, Harrington stretching the floor, and Hibbert inside. And I couldn't get the Knicks or Nets to trade for him and even the Pacers it took awhile to work the trade out but I think it works.

Update on the trade: Melo was 4th in the NBA in scoring and led the Pacers to #4 seed in the Eastern Conference. Nuggets were tied for the 8th spot in the west with the Jazz but lost to the Jazz in the final game of the season to miss the playoffs.

just started an association w/ the Bulls a couple days ago, and even before i play my first game the Pacers offer me Granger and Hansborough for Boozer and a 1st rd pick. i sat on this one for a little while to think about it, being that the bulls are my fav, and pacers being a close second, i ended up rejecting it though because i was anxious to use Boozer for Chicago. yeah, i know, technically it isn't a trade, but thought it was an interesting, and very tempting offer, nonetheless.

                              Knicks trade:

                              SG Xavier Henry (68)
                              C Hamed Haddadi (54)
                              C Hasheem Thabeet (58)

I'm simming year 1 of the Knicks and my goal is to free up some cap space for signing Melo. I hate getting rid of Galo but Henry is a solid player in 2K. Man looking at it one more time I think they got the better deal! Well hopefully the pick is late in the 1st round. Basically Galo for Henry. If they get rid of Mayo they can move Gay to the 2 and have Galo start at the 3.
