Not to bad, I played two games and ran a scrimmage practice. 24 the first game & 21 the second. Not bad but, Boozer becomes the third option. Beasley rebounds well but his defense is a huge downgrade compared to Deng's at least IMO but Corey Brewer makes up for it. I believe I could of gotten the three of them while keeping Deng. Too late, kudos to Darko, he's a beast on the defensive end.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I definitely feel like I cheated a little here lol;
Celtics (me) trade: Nate Robinson, Von Wafer, 1st round pick
Spurts trade: Dejuan Blair, Matt Bonner, 1st round pick
and
Celtics (me) trade: Glen Davis
Jazz trade: CJ Miles
I feel like I pretty much setup the SG, SF and PF for after the big 3 era!
thoughts?Comment

I'm guessing you feel like you cheated the spurs because you got Blair, but Robinson def has his positives which are unique, like a quick scoring option off the bench, high energy to where in the spurs mind he might have more value to their playoff push. Also they could easily use that first round pick they get to replace Blair with a similar player in the draft. Anyway, a couple of good moves and no way did you cheat the computer.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Ok so after several experiments all around 15-20 games into my Spurs association, I think I've got the right roster with depth. I actually used my base roster(which I like alot) through about 20 games then started to look at who I should or should not move with trades. Eventually I realized I didn't want to change the Spurs main guys and base roster TOO much. While I like Blair I didn't like his size or lack of shot blocking. The next 2-3 seasons and offseason are pretty muched planned out. Anway here's the major roster moves.
First depth... signed Ime Udoka and Eric Dampier
Then next years draft...
Spurs get Suns 2011 1st rd
Suns get Spurs 2011 1st rd, 2012 1st rd
Then trades....
Spurs get Ekpe Udoh, Louis Amundson, Jeremy Lin
Warriors get DeJuan Blair, Matt Bonner, Chris Quin
Spurs get Damion James, Kris Humphries, Johan Petro
Nets get Louis Amundson, Jeremy Lin, Antonio McDyees, 2011 2nd rd
Spurs get Brian Cook, 2012 2nd rd
Clippers get Kris Humphries, Johan Petro
Line-up is currently like this
5-Duncan-starter
4-Udoh-6th man
3-Jefferson-starter
2-Ginobili-starter
1-Parker-starter
Bench
6-Hill-6th man
7-James Anderson-prospect
8-Damion James-role player
9-Splitter-prospect
Bench-Dampier-bench warmer
Bench-Udoka-bench warmer
Bench-Gary Neal-bench warmer
Bench-B.Cook-bench warmer
The things that stand out to me are... Versatility, defense, youth and athleticism. I really like my bench and I was able to keep "the big 3" together with RJ for at least 1-2 more seasons. I traded for Phoenix's 2011 1st rd because I want Perry Jones from Baylor SF 6'11". Phoenix is off to a bad start so far. You might notice a theme... Udoh PF Baylor... Damion James SF Texas. I like these guys but I didn't pick em because they play for my favorite college teams... ok kinda. Anway... My Spurs should be set for years. And with Perry Jones on the way I can hopefully have a good transition when Manu and Timmy hang it up. What do you guys think?Dallas CowboysSan Antonio SpursTexas RangersBaylor Bears Iowa Hawkeyes Texas LonghornsComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I def think it's a fair trade. Both you and the spurs are contenders, so I def could see where the real life gms would swap role pieces like blair and robinson for each other with 1st round picks, wafer, and Bonner as throw-ins. And I def follow your logic after getting a better energy and defense big like blair to then trade Big Baby for a solid offensive piece in Miles. The only question is who's going to be your backup point.

Season 1
Clippers (me) trade baron davis
Nuggets trade kenyon martin
I was looking for more depth in the paint and kmart so happens to have an expring contract. After making the trade and looking back, I saw no reason the nuggests would actually do this trade. Thoughts?

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
So I think i just made a pretty good trade well more like two. I'm at the beginning of January at first place in the West with the Mavs at 23-10 2 up on the thunder and Lakers. First off i traded shawn marion and deshawn stevenson to the Suns for Grant Hill and Hedo Turkoglu I then turned around and traded Turk and my 12 2nd rd to the Twolves for Sundiata Gaines.
I made this move basically cause Marion was sitting on the bench and his morale was below 25 and I didnt want him to mess up my chemistry as everyone else is pretty happy. Also Stevenson was giving me absolutely no production on offense averaging around 4ppg. Marion wasnt much better. So I lose Marion but get Hill i figure pretty even swap both pretty good defenders and first game with Hill i got 13 with him coming off the bench. I got rid of Turk because i woulda ended up in the same situation with Marion as he wanted the 6th man role so get rid of him and his big contract frees up some space as Hill is only 1 yr so now I have enough free space under the cap to sign Caron Butler to a 4 yr extension with a team option for the last year.If you're not first... you're last

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Here's my Pistons:
Stuckey
McGrady
Jerebko
Zac Randolph-Acquired from Grizz for Gordon and Villenueva
Wallace
Bench:
Bynum
Daye
White
T. Murphy(and Nets 1st Round Pick)- Acquired from Nets for Tayshuan
G. Monroe
Wilcox
Summers
Maxiell
E.Curry- Acquired from Knicks for Rip Hamilton
Not really super trades but Curry's and Randolphs deals are expiring so I will have tremendous cap room for Free Agency.
Thinking about moving Stuckey, turns the ball over too much.Comment
