Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Hi guys, I am playing a SG who is currently at his sophomore year and is a 3-point specialist (ray allen inspired), I am playing on pro/default/12min quarters. Although my 3 point shot is already at 91, I can't even hit open threes and I am getting raped in almost every game I play. Is this a bug? I know there was a bug that your created player would get cold and couldn't hit shots but I thought they fixed it...Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
After a terrible game where I played the Celtics (I quickly picked up several fouls, barely got any playing time, and turned the ball over numerous times) we played the Bulls. It looked like we had a chance to win but eventually got blown out haha. I got a career high 16 points, and had 2 NASTY blocks, on the first one Noah set a screen on me and I fell in a push-up position for like 5 seconds, then got back up and sprinted to get the block (I don't remember on who) but there were like 3 other hands so I was surprised I got it. The second one was on a fast break and what looked like a one on one I came in time to get the chasedown and it was niceI think I have 11 blocks on the season (in like 13 games). I'm gonna save up all my money for Rondo's layup package which is 2 mill, and my rookie contract is 2 years 1.97 mill :/ so does that mean its gonna take me into my third season?

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
What stat is more important when driving to the hoop?
Strength or Ball Handling? Both?
I'm not sure what those two attributes are called but sometimes when I drive in for a dunk or a layup I lose the ball going up (the game usually says I was blocked but it doesn't look like a block).
Will increasing either of those two attributes help at all?
If not could someone give me a suggestion please.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Finally started a my player. A 6'5(My real height) PG from Marquette.
Made him a 3 point specialist. Scored 32 pts in the Rookie Showcase.
I was interviewed by the Bucks(10th pick), Warriors(11th pick) and Jazz(12th pick). I told every team I didnt want to play there. Milwaukee has Jennings, GS has Ellis and Curry, and well I just dont like the Jazz or the idea of playing in Utah.
I dropped to the 26th pick(not sure) and was drafted by Dallas.
I like the fit but I am concerned the GM is going to end up trading Dirk.
Do star/top players get traded alot in my player like they did last year?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Quick question: I cannot find this info anywhere.....
In 2k11 you could influence management trades and free agent signings. I am 1/3rd of the way done with my 3rd year. Was an all star in season 2. Have 100 in teammate chemistry and they don't ask me like they did in 2k11. Any idea if it happens or when?
I am with the Bucks and we have 4 PGs (I am one also) and 4 SGs on the roster. Very unbalanced and we get destroyed on the boards.
Thanks for the info and when I should expect management to come to me.Comment

Strength is more for driving when there's traffic in the paint. Strength is more for things like posting up and such, where you need to have strength to back down your man and establish position, etc.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
for my all-round pg,
i got 5 key games left in my 1st season.
boosted his overall to 70.
he now has 99 mid range, 84 3 pt (gonna keep doin shootin drills till it gets maxed out), 86 inside
62 dunk (will not touch till season 2), 83 layup (will get to 90), 87 on-ball d (will max out), 74 steal (will bump to 80 for now)
89 vertical (will max out before season ends), 90 shot in traffic (maxed)
82 speed (havent touched speed, wont for a while cuz its so effin expensive)
so anyways, i have yet to touch any abilities, and i dont reccomend making an all-round PG since most are all on POOR lmao.
and shot in traffic at 90 hasnt helped me a bit.
oh and im having trouble hitting shots like all of you.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Because being a 6 foot point guard, and ofcourse shooting guard is out of every reasonable sense. You should blame yourself for being put there.. And ofcourse they are putting you where they can BECAUSE you are just a role player, a filler.. Face it..Comment
