Ok, how the HECK do you go #1 in the draft? My new PG scored 33 points on 71% shooting (100% from 3 pt) with 5 assists, 2 rebounds, 5 steals and 1 turnover and went #7 to the Kings. How are you supposed to have a better game than that being a 61 overall player?

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I moved to All-Star Difficulty with my Center; and its a real chore. The bumping around in the paint is exausting at this point in his career (game 30). The collapsing of the play is routine every 3rd play down the floor (very discouraging).
Scoring is more difficult but its not over the top. The "D" does rotate faster and they block alot more shots.
CPU FG% MIL FG% CPU-3 MIL-3 CPU-FOULS MIL-FOULS
51 50 55 50 8 15 UTH-L-91-90
50 41 44 21 5 11 OKC-L-98-73
49 43 27 21 9 11 ATL-L-89-77
48 42 40 15 9 11 WAS-L-82-72
50 42 27 27 9 8 DEN-L-92-73
I now undestand why ppl were rage quitting, an 6-9% field goal percentage difference is a bit much. And yes, the rumor that you need to drop 30 points per night to win is a logical conclusion while SCREAMING!
However, your assessment of averaging 20 points a night should make the team more competitive at this level. With that; its going to take 2 years for this team to be a real competitor at All-Star level making it a tough decision on whether My Player will stay in Milwaukee.
Then again, my PG/Knicks really changed things down the stretch (game 55), so maybe there will be relief later in the season...we will see...
- Turn off autosave, then save before you do a drill.
- Do the dribble course
* If you get speed attribute bonus, save the game and do the next drill
* If you don't get gold, load the save and try again until you get speed
- Do the dribble course again, repeat previous steps
- Sell both speed attribute bonuses at the same time fort he most Skill points possible, spend those points on something else.
I'm at an 80 overall now, and I was able to get into the playoffs with the suns (playing on pro for the first 80 games of the season).Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I'm still not sure if the lower shooting percentage is because of the difficulty change, or bad shot selection. When I switched to All-Star difficulty, those bad 3 point shots really start to become noticable, as does the fact that your team has trouble running plays. Those to problems make it hard to get good open shots for your team, that aren't in transition.

Despite the fact that as Center (post), with Plays On, there is very little I can do to break up the play collapsing at this point. Upgrading my Low Post Shot and OFF Awareness should help me do my part for now!
I also got a strange feeling that my flaws extend to the team. My perimeter D is really weak and I got to tell u, the opposing guards are in the lane just about every other play! Since its the glaring flaw on my Player Card now, I am going to boost this attribute and see if I am right. On top of that since my Coach is not the sharpest tool in the shed and assigns me (7-2) to smaller forwards upgrading this attribute now will help me guard them on the wing.
Yes, Harder, but, not un-playable difficulty level. However, upgrading in the middle of a Rookie season is not a smart thing to do on my part, LOL!
Dribble course is my friend; I don't cheat though, I am usually satisfied with anything I get along with the 400 points. As USUAL with me its the points LOLComment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
From my experience your roster will be balanced in the off season.
I think the un-balanced roster is part of the "AI tricks" as during your rookie season you get left on the floor with the flaw either trying to hold off a run or start a run.
As a PG/Knicks this drove me crazy playing with 4 guards and trying to hold a lead while the opposing team just dumped the ball in the paint!!!Comment

Is anyone doing a MP with the SimWorld roster on the 360? I'm thinking of re-starting my MP since I'm only a couple of games in. I can't stand the plays that are called right now (I'm on the Pacers).Currently Playing:

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I know this might sound dumb but I think I might be done with my player, not the mode altogether but my current guy. My local fan support is somehow at a 13 and our fans are booing the **** out of me. I'm not having difficulty putting up good games, but we can't win anything and it seems so repetitive. I don't play with run plays on because the plays always break and my teammates won't do anything about it. The way I score is basically always the same, drive to the hole using a hopstep, and either draw the foul or pump fake and lay it up. I haven't really mastered any other moves and my guy never executes the move I intend to perform.
Running plays can be frustrating at 1st, especially the bumping, but IMHO. its worth it down the road when everything falls together.
Alot of helpful ppl in this thread, get over it, we all have our problems, and everyone tries to help each other!!! ASK A QUESTION and I am sure you will get some help!!! And I suspect you are a much better player then you are giving yourself credit for!!!
Nothing wrong with starting over from scratch based on the fact that your 1st player was an experiment of what skill points are about, but, don't start over bc of constant team losses and frustration with game play!!!Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I'm halfway into the season, and trust me, a 59 local fan support is nothing compared to a 13. Since we lost practically every game, they ask me negative questions about the team's performance so it's almost impossible not to have something go down. I think I'll just play with run plays from now on because I suck at calling my own, but the bumping prevents any of the plays from working. And is there a fix to freezing in the edit player screen for the 360? I wanna change up my jumpshot and some other stuff but can't. I guess I was just in a moment of rage at the time and I won't really start over but yeah.GT: assassinK24Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
on my power foraward on the bobcats i finished up my 2nd season. we lost in round one of the playoffs to the Celtics 4-1. the Thunder went on to win the finals, which made me happy.
the Bobcats picked up my team option so im here for atleast one more year. we are straight ballin year 3. right now we are the top record in the NBA with a 15-4 record.
Kemba is developing nicely, as is our second year play(last year generated rookie) Horace Cheeks(im pretty sure thats his name) we also drafted a nice center this year.Comment

1st player and my previous Center with the Suns got the boo treatment after asking for trades. My very first player (SG) was booed constantly for a month BC it took a long time for him to get traded (yes, My Player & the Suns are a bad mix for me).
My new Center (OVR:71 @40 games) with the Bucks is currently experiencing a 15 game losing (blow out) streak with no end in sight.
On top of that all the talk about Team Chemistry is CRAP! My current TMC is 100!!!! League-Wide at 44 and Local Fans: 47.
The All-Star difficulty is burning my butt, BC, like my other players I concentrated on D first. If you can't score (which I can't) you are going to suffer miserable defeats!
Plays Collapsing/Bumping: Frankly I used to think that TMC effected the level of bumping and the eventual collapsing of the play, but, as aforementioned that's out the window. However, OFF Awareness does give some relief and Low Post Shot also helps regardless of the position your player is. I have a strange feeling that the difficulty setting/My Player progression have alot to do with the duration (season) of the bumping & locking more than anything else.
On the PS3 I find myself constantly using the L2 button to unlock my player just to move from one-side of the paint to the other.
Both of My Players that were drafted by the Suns I started over and in some respects I feel that I WASTED precious time starting over instead of sticking it out.
But, in the end if you are miserable playing with this particular player and team, (I WAS), YES, start over!
PS3 user, just fixed the "Load Settings" Freeze, do not know too much about the XBOX freeze; here's a OS link though on platform freezes: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...60-ps3-53.htmlComment
