I use Ray Allen's FT and it works great for me, made 20 consecutive free throws. You should try it out, i used to shoot terrible with the default bear FT but now that I use Ray Allen's FT I'm daring teams to foul me.

Edit: Right after I posted that I missed my first FT in about 3 games.

I tried Ray Allens before. I didnt use it much, because i was expecting something faster. But after using Birds, I realize that I like FTs a not so quick. I will buy it.
The only thing that has me hesistating is that Im trying to save uo fir a training camp boost and a dunk package. But, I wont have enough money until my 4th year.

I know when I first started playing this mode/game; I had a hard time getting into the lane. A few ppl here and elsewhere have asked me (HOW) since I am old and so slow with the controller do I get into the lane...

How do you get into the lane? Here are a few VERY SHORT videos that may help a few beginners (will be boring for advanced ballers)

I have the PLAYS ON

Anticipate - While under control at the top of the key anticipate the Pick (Tyson Chandler) move in that direction (slow) as soon as you see the begining of the pick animation; hit the Turbo and begin your layup animation (push up on the right shot stick) once your turn the corner.

Tidbit: At the top of the key if you are under control you will notice the mis-match. There is no way Roy Hibbert (Center) OR Hansborough can match my speed (turbo boost) once I turn the corner! Do not boost before turning the corner, the AI will compensate and you will get BUMPED!!!

Mis-Direction - The AI rarely takes chances on Defense so use it against them. The play has collapsed and Landry Fields is just not interested in taking a shot and gives it back. Now Landry being a 3 pt shooter is going to look for a place to spot up on the other side to get an open look. Now I fake follow him back and as soon as the defense commits; I go the other direction and hit the Turbo and begin the layup animation (push up on the right shot stick). Who cares, Goaltending, is 2 points, it's not always going to be pretty.

Tidbit: At the top of the key if you are under control you will notice the double team Dirk Nowitzki & Lamar Odom (the reason the play collapsed), now they are assuming I am still trying to go to Carmelo Anthony (pass) when I follow Landry...again neither can match my speed once I turn the corner...and poor TERRY gets caught in traffic....I blow right by them!

Nothing to Something- Odom front Stoudemire in the Low Post, so he know he's not getting the ball so he abandons me (going to top of the key for his med-range jumper). So I figure, let me see if I can do a Dribble Move to get open for a short jumper (Earl Boykins is too short, I can shoot right over him).

He suprisingly over-commits on my weak move and I just push forward and launch the layup animation (push up on the right shot stick) hoping to either lay it in or get fouled.

Tidbit: Notice when I initially attempt to go baseline Lamar Odom cuts off my lane but he abandons his assignment (Stoudemire) in doing so, now he thinks his PG has me under control and races off to find Stoud, just when I perform the weak move to give me the necessary space to get to the basket.

Now if he would have stayed put, I would have dished to Stoud at the top (right) of the key...that's Stoudemire's money shot!

I hope these help someone....DON'T EVEN ASK...Pops is an ATH PG, begining his 2nd Season, he has "Poor" Dribble Abilities, he can't break an ankle or spin in the lane and lay it up.

My athletic SF on the suns file got corrupted, but i was only like 3 or 4 games into the season, so i wasnt too upset.

i made a new one:
Daryl Dixon(yes that is the guy from the Walking Dead lol)

Currently plays for the Wolves

so i didnt feel like playing the rookie showcase, so after halftime i just intentional fouled until i fouled out lol. so i finished with like a D+.

i was projected to go like 15th and interviewed by teams around there, but i told them all i wasnt interested. so i dropped to 21 and got picked by the blazers

i actually really liked my teammates in Portland. i would recommend anyone who is a PG, SG, or C to go here, they were pretty good. but as a Forward, i didnt want to stay, they already have G-Force as a great starter, as well at Batum as a really solid backup SF. so i requested a trade.

i requested the Timberwolves as my first pick, they are a great up and coming team. a very pass first PG, a great scoring and amazing rebounding big man in Love, they do have Beasly who is pretty solid, but not that good, so i will be able to start over him.

i also requested the Nuggets and Nets. the Nuggets because they are just an all around balanced team, any guy can step up on any night. and the nets because they have Deron, Lopez, Brooks once he develops, but nobody else really.

i got traded to the Wolves, im really happy about this.

in my first game as a Timberwolf, i put up 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists in 20 minutes played. it was great, we beat the Wizards. not the best team, but still it was a good win. Love didnt play because he broke his toe, once he comes back we will be even better.

our team is 14-10, currently tied for 6th in the West. i figure we will most likely get a 6th, 7th, or 8th seed and maybe make a surprise playoff run like the Grizzlies did last year

no, i actually really liked the blazers. my teammates were all pretty good, and played smart ball. if i was any position besides SF or PF i would have gladly stayed there, but it would have felt too unrealistic for me, a rookie, to start over a guy Gerald Wallace. so thats why i wanted traded.

I am getting really annoyed at this game now. I am in the playoff final and my perimeter shooting is A+.

I cannot hit a open 3pt A+ or A shot but i can get a C- shot !!! WTF !!! This game is really starting to annoy me !

The playoffs is a little different than the regular season.

The D is much tighter and the stupid pass ramps up during this period. Just because you take a good shot during this time doesn't mean it will drop! The AI (CPU) over-emphasizes team play. Meaning some games you are NOT suppose to contribute by Scoring. It is essential to find your role and fill it EACH game and you will be rewarded.

I sent you a google doc via PM, showing you how erratic performance can be in the playoffs! (it will take you forever to find the post on our own, LOL)

That was why I traded away from certain teams.
I wish they improve on starter logic. I shouldnt constantly gain minutes if I am not playing good. When my SF was with 76ers, I was constantly gaining minutes and he was only averaging 7pts. I wouldnt mind it taking a while to be a starter

I agree.... Minutes should be harder to earn for a player rated between 60-70...

Not only if our players arent performing well, but alot of times the starters are playing well and we shouldnt able to overtake someone

That was why I traded away from certain teams.
I wish they improve on starter logic. I shouldnt constantly gain minutes if I am not playing good. When my SF was with 76ers, I was constantly gaining minutes and he was only averaging 7pts. I wouldnt mind it taking a while to be a starter

15 games deep & 65 rating I took over Billups starting role in NY (old rosters)... Personally I was enjoying the 6thman role.

My 6'8" SG is a 92 overall 21 years into his career and has never started a single game. on the bench behind 60 overall starters, and only getting 20 minutes/game if i'm lucky. This really annoys me. does this happen to anyone else?

i know, now on the T-wolves Beasley is averaging like 17 PPG, so it will feel odd when i take over his starting spot. but still im glad i was traded here cuz it is more realistic to start over Beasley than to start over G-Force

I didnt want to start over Iggy, but I had no problem starting over Hedo.
my PF started, but since Dirk started at Center, It wasnt a problem

Even though I'm a 6'1 point guard I'm going to save up for Blake Griffin's dunk package. It's so dope
