But, I think you can design it.

Two questions:

1. Can someone describe the free agent process in this mode? And I assume it's based on your overall and not your stats, but can someone confirm that?

2. When you get your shoes, are you just allowed to pick the name or do you actually get to design it? I assume you just pick the name, but I've been wondering this.

There's a video by Ken North on YouTube that shows him getting free agent offers and negotiating with teams but I don't know how each team determined how much money and role that was offered to him.

I don't really focus on hotspots. I wonder if you can change them by shooting a high percentage in a different area on the court? I always shoot a higher percentage from the sides than I do from in front of the rim...

I think by nature rookies don't have hot or cold spots, but if anything you develop them based on where you hit a lot of your shots. I'd assume this because after the conclusion of a game, you have a choice to look at team hot spots, and if you're hitting a lot of shots from the corner, for example, eventually it should be considered a hot spot. I'm not sure though.

Guys, I have a question: Should I start my MP now? I was kind of waiting until certain 2nd rounders made it into the game, especially since some of them should be in the showcase, but I not sure if I should wait. I know most 2nd rounders would be replaced in the future by their teams anyway, but I don't know if the experience is exponentially better with a few certain guys like Andrew Goudelock, Darius Morris, etc.

If it helps, I started mine yesterday and I am enjoying so far. I try not to think about the things that would keep me from starting later like the 2nd rounders and forgetting to add JR Smith and Wilson Chandler. It bothered me at first, but I am comfortable with the way things are running now.

its up to you. i personally started mine christmas eve and i only have first rounders and a few out of place players(like Nate Robinson is still on the Thunder) but to be honest, i dont really notice these things at all when im playing and havent notcied once that there are not 2nd rounders. it doesnt bother me the slightest, but thats just me.

Just finished another game with Blake Richardson. We(thunder) started out 0-4 going into this game. That changed today as we took out the knicks and won by 20. Blake Richardson blew everyone away with his performance. In the first quarter he got subbed in with 7:26 left. In the first he finished with 6pts, 5rebounds. He guarded Melo most of his time in and I have to say he did pretty good. At the half he finished with 8 pts, 7rebounds. For the first time this year the coach left Richardson play in the 3rd quarter. Got subbed in with about 9 minutes left. In the 3rd quarter Blake blew everyone away. With 16 points, and 3rebounds in the quarter. He just couldn't miss a shot. he hit a few jumpers from the wing. drove and got some layups and had some nice post moves. He finished the Game with 22 points, 10rebounds, 1 block. Shot 11/15 from the field. Blake sat the whole 4th after playing almost all of the 3rd. Finished with a B+grade. Decided to request a trade to: 1st choice: Magic, 2nd choice: Nuggets, 3rdchoice: Cavs. Hope I get traded to one of those teams.

Is there a way to ask ur team not to trade someone? Or to trade someone? Or to tell the coach stop putting me at SG?
P.s- that last one was just cuz I hate SG, no control during plays

You basically gotta become a star and have a high player buzz before the organization listens to your opinion and values it. I read that somewhere on the 2K forums. It makes sense, since teams will do anything to keep their star players happy and in town.

I like playing with the rookies. I restarted mine (corruption) after most of the big deal were complete ( cp3, odom, etc), it gives me more competition to go against in order to win ROY. Pre-patch my player was fun except for the crazy trade logic.

im made another my player. im going to continue my PG, but i want another one to play. im going to try something a bit different than im used to, i decided to try the PF position. im making him similar to the Bosh/Amare mold in that he will be athletic, tall, quick, good handles(for a big man), and eventually a jumper.

i made him 6'11 232 and athletic playstyle. so to begin he will basically be rebounding and put backs, not much else. i was going to do faceup but that just makes his speed and quickness so low to start that i couldnt do. its like a 25-30 SP difference between speed/quickness on athletic and speed/quickness on faceup. unlike a gaurd where it is only like an 8-10 SP difference between athletic and scoring.

anybody have tips for me as to what to upgrade first? whats most important for a big man? i've never used one really, in 2k11 and 2k12 i've never went bigger than a SF. i know how to play with big men since i use them online and in association, i just dont really know which attributes are most important.

Just got EMBARRASSED by Boston with my PG MP. I had a bad game. I still cant make wide open Js and I turned over the ball over a couple times.
I am in mid season. I got Shot Med to 90, Steal to 79, and On-Ball D to 80. I left Pass at 75. I will Steal and On-Ball D at 88-90. I NEED to boost Ball Security.

lol im tellin you its going to be the same way. im fed up with it some im editing a roster giving everyone shoes putting abilities based around what they can shoot and how often they use something

I requested a trade to the Knicks to play with Melo and A'mare.....but got traded for Melo. So dumb!
