Half way into my 'Rookie Showcase' game, and i gotta go to work... damn. Saved game @ half with;

2 blocks

6'7 PG, All round. Not happy with my jumpshot though. Will change once i've finished 1st game! Hopefully get drafted Top 10 picks.

What's the highest anyone's gone?

The highest I've gotten was 8th to the Pistons. And this was after putting up 51 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. I also managed to get an A+ grade. I Still haven't managed to duplicate another A+ grade.

My player mode is frustrating..... It's dang near impossible to keep playing this.... The mode could be fun, of not for all the bullcrap shots the CPU hits.... No lead is safe....

Just had my best ever game in my career in a key game against Dallas. I had 51 points(9 3pters) 5 assists, 4 rbs, no TOs, and a A+ Teammate grade(1st ever). 9000XP for that game. I got my On-Ball Defense to 88. I am a game away from maxing that. I was going to boost Ball Security next, but I havent had problems with TOs in the last couple of games. I might improve Steal, then Shot Close next. After that I will focus on Movement, Layup/Free Throw/dunk, and Ball security. I will improve Off-Awareness before the season is up. I want to boost OVR before FA, so I can get a good contract.

Holy ****, why does pump faking have such a prolonged animation? Seriously like a second and a half? Cost me the chance to win the game just now.

Oh, it will forever piss me off that we can't get a shot off with under a second, when in real life I've seen it done in 0.3. Ruins the endings of games, tbh. I understand what that would do for the rest of the game. Wish they could figure something out, though.

Dang....helluva game right there....

Ever since I got my 3 past 85(at 88), I have points have exploded. I am able to run 3 pt plays more.
I have been playing less agressive. I would force shots and wonder why I am missing them. I will pass if I dont have the shots I want.

This is my first NBA 2k game in about 6 years or so, so obviously it's my first My Player experience. Really like it so far. Let me ask this, what is the deal with the signature packages you can buy? Are they just animations or do they boost your ratings some if you purchase them?

Also, do you guys use your earnings to buy skill points? It doesn't seem like you get many for the money it cost. Or do you buy some of those other things with your earnings like player camps and whatever those others are?

I just dropped 61 in an elimination game vs the Celtics in my second year...we came back from 20 down and I hit a transition three to tie the game...of course Paul Pierce goes into the post and hits a jumper with 3 guys all over him, and I had to watch as my teammate got the ball and held on to it for 5 seconds before launching a prayer three...there goes the season...

On another note, the key game distribution for teams in My player mode need some fixing.

I had about 2-4 per season with the Bobcats, signed with the Knicks and am now looking at over 30...instead of the expected 10-15.

Aukevin: The sig packages are just animations and do not boost your rating. I personally don't buy skill points because I don't feel that you get enough for what you pay, I use them to boost chemistry/fan support/popularity and will eventually spend money on the training camps and sig packages.

A+'s are easy to get with PGs just call double teams and you can get an A+ before halftime in a 5 min quarters game.

With my 5'7 PG, I wanted Pheonix but went to Golden State, just lit up the Kings in the 4th, went into the 4th having 0 pts, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, no blocks, and 2 turnovers. Left the 4th with, 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and 2 turnovers. Blocked Evans, he got it right back, blocked him again, fastbreak assist. On the team, I tied most points, second in rebounds, first in assists, first in steals, and tied first in blocks, best in one game in a while.
