Look how realistic these animations are. Remember how much variation there was with the "Bring the ball up" animations back in 2K9? Players would point, tell players to move (even if it was all just for show), skip up the court, dribble through their legs...

Now we have three options-- walk, jog, sprint. It's so generic.

      Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

      These are for My Player:

      1. The draft needs to be more dynamic. No more two people getting picked at the same number. If the Warriors pick me at #11, they don't get to pick Klay Thompson at #11 as well.

      2. Draft pick logic needs to improve. While it is very realistic that the Suns are in the market for another good PG to replace Nash after his retirement, I should NOT be getting interviewed by Philly, because they already have a young player at that position with a lot of potential (Jrue Holiday).

      3. Need to bring back the Combine. Also, like in real life, teams that are interested in you should ask to come workout for them and play a game of 5on5 with other players to see how well your play style gels with the team. The Stars/Elites game is not enough for a team to decide if they want to draft you or not.

      4. If you are a high pick, why do you have to "earn" minutes? If the right team drafted you, and you fill a need on the roster, why can't you start right away?

      5. Your MP needs to not suck at the start of the season. I'm not asking to start out with an 80 overall, but these low 60's aren't cutting it. We should be given the chance to start the season at least 70 overall by gaining skill points via a combination of the Combine, Rookie Game, Team Workouts, and Summer League.

      6. Why is a bench player doing the post game press conference? Your player should not be sitting there unless he is at least in the starting lineup.

      7. Make teammate grades matter. As it stands right now, does an A+ do anything except give you more skill points? If you keep getting C (or below) grades, the coach should call you into his office and talk to you about it. He could even assign you a mentor and there would be places on your schedule where it says "Workout with (Mentor Name) to work on Rebounding" or something like that.

My Player is a good mode, but 2K really needs to take it to the next level. I'm sure others have mentioned the things I have (heck, even I may have mentioned them before in this thread), but I started a new MP recently and just started having all these ideas on how the mode could be so much better.

We really need a way to separate explosive guys who have a quick first step (Like Rose, Durant, Westbrook, LeBron) from guys who are a little slower now (Kobe is a good example). Everyone goes from a triple threat position to a driving animation at the same speed. Their explosiveness is what makes guys like Rose, Westbrook and Ellis so dangerous in a 1 on 1 situation.

There should definately be a first step rating. Would bring back athleticism in the game.

One of my main non-gameplay thing I want to see improved/fixed is fixing the progression system. I dont like how potential is the main factor in progression. So if a player has high potential, he will continually progress regardless of production. For example, a PF in 4 years never avg over 9.9 pts, never averaged over 7.5 rebs, and only avged over 1 block in the current season, but because of high potential his ovr is 86.
I think production should be the main source of progression.

I agree I said the same thing in another thread we either need to have the fake pass in a layup package or make it an advance move like pressing the fake pass button and the shot stick for a layup at the same time.

I think fake passes should absolutely NOT be tied to layup animations. We should be able to do fake passes when WE want, not when the game decides to trigger a random animation.

Also, to add on to my previous post about bringing the ball up, the CPU should walk the ball up sometimes. They always use the fastest animation that you can get without turbo, but they should take their time at least half the time, especially if their Coach Sliders "Game Tempo" is low.

Yes this should tie in to trades also. Teams should look more at the production of a player if he's a vet rather than just his potential. Potential should only be most considered when drafting prospects or looking to move rookies or sophomores.

first of all, two things, the first pass is made to create the triangle, the first pas of this video is dione by Michael, this is the real beginning of this system, and then in the game Grant (or the AF) is too much on the wing. he must be more in the center in high post.
secondly, in the game you have to do the pass to see the other player which take the 2 screens, going on the high wing.
In the reality, if there is not the first pass, it's a little pick (between grant and amstrong) but the player on the opposite take the 2 screens.
Scott williams was not in the right postion but John paxson understood that it was a 42 up strong.
in third there is several position to receive the ball for the open shot, 3 pt and mid-range shot, we can see Jordan alone (0:29) for a mid range jumpshoot (in 2k11 it was a midrange one but in 2k12 it was for a 3 pt shot every time!!) in 2k11 2 screens was not good because every time Jordan was not enough alone and far away the 2 screens and the pass was often stolen.
it can be too, for a pass in the paint, watch pippen alone in the paint against the pacers 98!!
Always the same thing, the first pass is done by Kukoc to create the triangle and after he passes the ball to Harper, Rodman is not too much in the wing.
the number 4 for this system can be a PG, and i don't want somebody tell me, change Randy Brown to the post PF because cpu don't change his def to put a PG in the post 4, no, the system could be called 21 up strong or 24 up strong or 12 up strong or 13 up strong etc etc

Scott burell didn't make the pass to Simpkins (it's a 42 up strong for Randy Brown) and he made the pass directly to Randy Brown.

Pippen pass to Michael (with before Kukoc how waits the triangle) it's a 21 up strong for Steeve Kerr.

After that there is a 13 up strong for Pippen, pippen is too much rapid for Kerr disturb by Travis Best so the system didn't work but there is another which is not in the game and it's a very important system it's a little a 54 over but more rapid for a shot for kerr

and the last action, 24 up strong for Kukoc, first pass Pippen wait the triangle, he passes to Harper, Harper to Michael (2) and michael to Kukoc!!

i think all those action can resume all the bulls up strong sytem and allow us to make a good basket ball with the chicago bulls.

                    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Omd6mCl3gEM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

i think you can substitute a lot a offensiv strategy in your game, for exemple, 31 fade pick and roll should be called 31 up strong because i have never seen Pippen making a pick and roll with Jordan to the wing
32 fade i have never seen this system.
There are several times the same offensive strategy: 2 times 35 strong, 2 times 13 quick up, 2 times 34 post, and other i don't remember.
why two times while you can put better systems!
Some systems are useless and unnecessary for exemple 43 corner iso what is the utility of this one!!
And when you call a 52 corner roll for Longley in the corner with a rodman's screen!!! the first time i saw that i was ... i didn't understand i understood nothing. it's like when i make a mistake and i call a 52 roll for Longley, imagine Longley take a Jordan Screen in the wing!! INCREDIBLE!!
41 up is a false triangle system, i have never seen too this strategy.
31 cross up is a good system, excellent system, no problem
52 roll no problem even if it's strong to do excatly the same action, for example gets a wild open 3 pt in the corner, or passing between the screener and the defender with Jordan, or find a good jumpshot with Jordan after the screen if there is not a offensiv from Longley (too much Offensiv fouls on this system)

You didn't imagine the time we spent to play to your game.

Nobody is taught to box out at the 3pt line because there's so much room to just run around...and the guy you box out isn't stuck there for a second or two in a velcro like animation that he can't break out of, even if he tries to run backwards. Yeah you can tell the shot is going to go in if the CPU doesn't box out.

And even at that, not every player ALWAYS remembers to box out on EVERY shot attempt. I can understand big men around the rim doing it (even though there are quite a few who don't like Andrew Bynum or Pau Gasol) but even bench PG's have the awareness, strength and reaction time to box you out as soon as the shot is going up. I hate seeing 6'1'' 190 lb PG's box out 6'11'' 250 lb PF's. I've even been able to box out big men with my PG before. Strength, size and momentum mean almost nothing in this game because of animations.

Plus like you said, there's no escaping a box out. You can't even move in the opposite direction to try and get back on defense. And the little moves they give you to try and move around the offensive player either don't work or are too slow. And if they do work, it almost always results in a loose ball foul call on the user. The weird thing is though, whenever I box out the CPU they always just break out of it and jump over me for the rebound. It's like the CPU can initiate and break certain animations when they want to.

I would like to truly be able to edit the shoes, especially the Jordan 11s. I think it would go along way to be able to create the exact shoe that I wear and have seen players wear. Its frustrating to try to recreate the Black/red 11s when playing with or for the bulls only have the patten leather be red.

Get rid of the "magnets" in the post,.so frustrating... Fix rebounding, make my teammates box out, it doesn't have to be every time but 60-70% if the time they do in real life. My teammates don't play like themselves. Dribble pull up jumpers are had off balanced shots that they make go in way to easy. TURN AROUND JUMPER there is only a handful of people who can hit these and they only shoot them with about 40-45% accuracy. Turn blocks back up because I know you turned them down with the steals. Makes it way to easy to drive the lane.

Allow man to score? That wasn't my guy, that actually is never ny guy but once or twice a game.

Make your coach actually influence the game!

My biggest thing EQUALITY!!! The player and the computer are not equal in this last game ie. Post movement they can tie me up its really hard to tie them up giving them easy passing lanes, those easy passing lanes are not easy when I'm on that side of the ball. Rotations, help defense, and fast break defense... Two of my guys will be back and will not pick up the guy who is supposed to be my man, allow a full court pass then a slam. It was 1 on 2 in favor of my defense... Wtf!!!!!!!!!!

And last of all I want them to stop talking about there stupid allstar weekend mode until they have addressed most of the serious glitches/bugs/simple oversights in 2k12

I'm sorry but they are taught to box out their man if he tries to crash the basket not matter where he is on the floor, I was taught that in 3rd grade... That far out you will only tie them up for a.second but that's a second from heaven that's gonna decide if there are 2 people in the paint or 8-10

Down with the Velcro action though it looks really bad...
