Really need some help.

I finished Season 1 with the Cavs. Played all 82 games. Won ROTY and a bunch of awards.

The offseason simmed and Season 2 was ready to go.

I choose Play Next Game and it sims past game 1 (on October 30th) and zooms right to Game 2 on November 2. I have multiple save game files from before this bug so I can go back and try something new if anyone has any ideas. I have tried some different things but can't seem to play a game without it simming Game 1. Does anyone have a workaround for this glitch? If not I can't go on with this season since I'm a stat geek and need to play all the games without simming. Can anyone please help!

I hear you. I finished 1 season for my PG, C and SF with default rosters to see which position would be the most fun for me. (In 2k11 it was SF, in 2k12 it was PG, and in 2k13 I am split between PG and C).

Since I am on the PC, my patch most likely will not arrive until April... and so that is why I began now with Slimm's roster. I waited for 2k's opening day roster, but we all know what a cluster that was.

If you do use default rosters, then the high scores are unavoidable if you prefer realistic gameplay.

slimm's rosters made a massive difference for me. started a new career this past week and it was absolutely night and day. i really wish we could get the damn patchs before the NBA finals for once.

Started over and got drafted by the Cavs as a 6'10/260 SF.

Some questions i have are

1) How can i make it so that my simulated stats and especially scoring are higher for my sg. I am a decent scoring sg 89 overall but i want to take more shots in sumulated games so my avg goes up. Will this happen automatically when i sign a new contract and become a ''go to guy'' ? I don't really have another high scorer on my team thats ''stealing'' my points if you get what i mean.

2) Will my SG eventually call plays when i am a ''go to guy'' I don't understand why thats impossible but Kobe or Lebron can call a play in reallife and they are not PG's. I am surely the greatest player on my team now (2nd season).

3) Do you guys even run plays or freestyle all the time (as a PG that is) ? Is it worth it to become a PG to run plays all the time or is it extremely boring after a while ?

I understand, but if you end up with a much less frustrating experience that gives you the stat-lines and better gameplay you enjoy much more, isn't it worth restarting now? if you keep going it will only get harder and harder to begin again... which you will need to do once the patch arrives anyways.

See, it's this part that gets me.There are people who've spent real actual money on their MyCAREERs, me not included, but there are some people that've probably spent a few bucks on 10,000 VC boosts to put on their MyPLAYER. How wold 2K deal with that PR where they would have to refund all that money because people have to start their MyCAREERs over? Doesn't make sense to me

Have they fixed if you are in the 3-point shootout and/or the dunk contest then the rest of your season disappears and goes straight to the playoffs? Thanks in advance.

So, im new here, first post, and I started out as a point guard, was drafted by the raptors, but asked for a trade to the hornets, my favorite team.

Mostly because it made no sense to get drafted by a team that already has kyle lowry and jose calderon on it.

I go to the hornets, im about 35 games in, all pro sim 12 min qts, when i go into mycareer, and get this pop up stating that the 2k server is down, if i continue it will switch me to sp, and without knowing that i couldnt go BACK to vc, and really wanting to play, i screwed that up. so i started a new guy, face up power forward, did really well in the rookie showcase, then stiffed all the teams interviewing me, ended up getting taken by the cavs.

About 3 games in, Tristan Thompson has back spasms and is out for 1-2 weeks.

those 1-2 weeks go by, and im the permanant starter, tristan thompson is back healthy, but hasnt been used since before he was hurt.

so im stuck sharing the front court a LOT with luke harangody.

this happen to anyone else?

im also 33-7, and they havent updated the power rankings since the first week of the season. as in, im still 23 in the power rankings, even though my team has won 18 straight....

Why do people continue to say that we will have to restart our My Players for the patch to work? That has never once been the case in the past. The patch will work for your current My Career, just like it did for 2k12 and 2k11.

Why do people continue to say that we will have to restart our My Players for the patch to work? That has never once been the case in the past. The patch will work for your current My Career, just like it did for 2k12 and 2k11.

Actually, for both 2k10 and 2k11, for some of the changes in the patch to take effect you needed to start a new career.

Sure, you could have continued your current career but in order to take full advantage of the patch many (including myself) had to restart.

1st key game win since the 1st one(4-5 straight losses) against the Pistons. It took my best career game. 53 pts(career high), 13 assists, and 4 steals. I was responsible for 83 pts, had 10 dunks, and 11-12 from FT. We had a good size lead and they came back. Both of their starting Big men had over 26 pts. What helped us was that we went 27-30 from the FT line as a team. What really was the ex-factor was that that kept putting their backup PG against me and I took advantage of it.

We are 20-15, 7-3 run. I asked for a SF and we got one. The only thing is that we gave up Blair for him. I had a feeling that Blair would be the one that is traded. He provides GREAT rebounding and Brick Wall. But, I like the trade. He is 29. We traded for a 25 year old 6'10 SF Waters. He is more of a athletic wing than a shooter. With that trade, it adds way more size. SG Ewing(Former ROY) is moved to his original position. Waters is 6'10. Hickman(PF we traded for) is 7'0 and has Eraser Skill. Mullins(traded for last year) is 6'11. John Jenkins and Courtney Lee is our 6th and 7th man.

I avg 24.1 pts, 8 apg, 2.9 spg, 3.7 rpg, 57 FG%, 44 3pt %, 98.8 FT. I am 3rd in MVP votes and 1st in league in All-Star votes. This is my best season. This is a possible contender. All our of top 6 guys are 27 and under. Waters is an 6'10 all-around SF/SG(rebound, offense, and defense are 74 rated or higher). Ewing was too short for SF(6'3). I really like John Jenkins being a 6th man. So, SG is straight, SF is alright since Jenkins or Ewing can slide over to SF. Center is good with Mullins and Hunt. Hickman is a athletic 7'0 PF with 79 Speed. The only thing we really need is a backup PF. We have Moultrie, but his morale is down and is on decline.

If we can play like the way we did last time, I think we can go on a run. I dont want to have to guy off to win, though With Hickman, I think we can handle opposing big man going off regularly. Blair was a liability on defense being 6'7. Hickman is 7'0 and very athletic. With Hickman and Waters in the lineup, we are an athletic lineup now and more defense than the beginning of year. It seems like every team has good rebounder and athletic PF. Hopefully Hickman can provide the solution. We are giving up 20+ pts to every PF we face.

So Im thinking creating a new MyCareer with the new roster one guy said above, which I find it very good for the PC users since 2K never cares about us enough to make a patch.

Depends on your play style

Center is extremely easy to get A+ and double doubles and it's fun to dunk with one especially.

I'd go with an SF personally to be a KD/Lebron player
