Ok I know you guys are tired of seeing my post but Association last one my Home team Detroit Pistions I finally found a Good Roster Set and I'm going to work hard to bring Drummond along with Monroe.. Thinking about dangling Charlie V out for trade bait.. He doesn't fit into my plans for rebuilding.. But other than that everything is a go.. My Future Moves are finding a replacement small forward to take over when Prince retires and gets dealt..

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread
Off-season time and you know what that means! Draft Lottery! The Raptors have a 19.90% chance at the #1 pick, let's hope we get it.
I was sweating the entire time the lottery was happening, and then the worst thing that could happen, did. We ended up with the 4th pick. Not a bad pick. but, I was hoping for 1 or 2.
Ahh well, the first 5 picks are, Detroit Pistons, Charlotte BobCats, New Orleans Hornets, TORONTO RAPTORS, Orlando Magic.
We kept Dwayne Casey as our head coach, based on the good run we had after the all star break. Let's hope to replicate that success all year this upcoming off-season.
Now onto the player options. We had one team option this year, young PF Ed Davis. He had a decent year in PPG for us last year with 7, but posted career highs in rebounds dand his D is good
enough for us to bring back to the squad. Linas Keliza accepted his player option, and thankfully Aaron Gray declined his option. We probably won't be resigning him.
The resigning phase was an interesting one. We had good backup PG Jose Calderon to discuss. He posted career lows in PPG and APG, but he was coming off the bench. Not sure if he's worth the
7 million that he wants. We'll see what we can get in the draft or free agency. i'd rather have instant offense off the bench as my sixth man. I also let Quincy Acy walk.
He's not a very good scorer and his defense is ATROCIOUS. He's not a player I have for the future of this team.
Time for the NBA Draft, we have the 4th pick. Let's hope we can get one for the future. With our 4th pick, we took Joseph Byrd. A 6'6, 221 pound Small Forward from George Washington.
Our scouts say he could be the best Small Forward in the entire draft. His athleticism and inside game is out of this world. He could improve a bit on his outside game a ball handling,
but he's definitely a guy who could be the missing piece of this team.
A few trades went down, the first would be the Cavs trading Alonzo Gee and the 7th pick to the Pistons for Jud Harmon and Jonas Jerbko. The Knicks trading pick 15 and Steve Novak
to the Suns for Luis Scola.
I came close to trade Landry Fields a few times, but I knew the rookie we drafted wasn't ready to take over the permanent SF position yet. Although I need to find some way to get Terrence Ross
more involved in the offense. Maybe trading fields wouldn't be such a bad idea? Joseph Byrd comes in equipped with two sig skills, Scrapper and Interceptor.
On to free agency. We have 6.35 MIL in cap room available, and the MLE. We can maybe make one good signing, and a veteran to help mentor these young cats. I like our roster
across the board, might not have to make any BIG signings, but let's see what I can get.
Top FA's are Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Andre Igoudala, Brandon Jennings, James Harden and Paul Millsap. The NBA is about to get shaken up.
We went after one guy, Chauncey Billups and we got him for 1 year, 3.9 million. This might be his final year, and using him as a mentor to Kyle Lowry and Demar Derozen, while providing
big buckets off the bench is exactly what i'm hoping for! A couple BIG free agency shake ups! Dwight Howard signed with the Cavs, they are an INSTANT title contender.
Kyrie Irving, Dwight Howard, 81 overall Rookie Jud Harmon, Dion Waiters, Leo Barbosa and Tristan Thompson. DANGEROUS. Andre Igoudala went on to sign with the Jazz, while Chris Paul
took his talents to Detroit, instantly making them a contender in the East. It's gonna be a fun year!
I took it upon myself to trade Landry Fields. We have too many good, young swingmen on our roster that I want to get immediate playing time, and I knew Landry Fields could go somewhere else
and be a better contributer. So I sent him to the OKC Thunder for two young big men full of potential. I got Perry Jones and Cole Aldrich in return. These two could be a huge part of Toronto's future!
I'm very happy with our roster heading into this season. The lineups look like this...
PG - Kyle Lowry
SG - Terrence Ross
SF - Demar Derozen
PF - Ed Davis
C - Andrea Bargnani
6th Man - Chauncey Billups
Rookie Joseph Byrd will also see a good amount of playing time this year. A lot of people are questioning the move to SF for Derozen, but, check this. He's taller than both Ross and Byrd, and, I feel he would have trouble guarding the elite sG's in the league. Although against teams like Miami and NY i'm hoping he can hold his on against those superstar SF's
Your for in your association and you made some good moves.. Have you seen any small forwards progress.. That I could go after to be a good fit for my Pistions?? I'm thinking about getting rid of Maxiell and Villanueva got to Go!!! LolComment

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread
The Power Rankings are VERY interesting to start the year off. As much as I think my team improved, the expert analysts don't seem to think so. We're dead last at number 30. Just gonna have to Prove a lot of people wrong this year. The top 10 is a sight to behold though..
1. Indiana Pacers
2. Utah Jazz
3. San Antonio Spurs
4. Chicago Bulls
5. Portland Trailblazers
6. Oklahoma City Thunder
7. Cleveland Cavaliers
8. Detroit Pistons
9. Phildelphia 76ers
10. Pheonix Suns
Where are the Heat you ask? Number 11, while the defending champ Lakers drop ALLLL the way to number 26. People are predicting a changing of the guard, let's see if they're right.
We open up the season in Atlanta on October 30th. Their starting lineup is..
PG - Devin Harris
SG - Louis Williams
SF - Mikael Pietrus
PF - Josh Smith
C - Al Horford
Most people are expecting us to get blown out. Let's go down to Hotlanta and prove them wrong!
First game of the season went MUCH better than expected in many ways. We went down to Atlanta and beat the Hawks 95-88.
At one point we were up by 17 points and it looked like a thrashing would take place, but, the Raptors were too young and let the Hawks come back and trim the lead to 1 twice in the fourth quarter. 2 HUGE threes by Demar Derozan stretched the lead and it was all over from there.
Josh Smith was his usual self, taking crazy shots and putting his team out of the game. Lou Williams led the Hawks with 25 points and almost led them to the comeback victory solo.
Demar Derozan was the leading scorer of the game with 31 Points and 8 rebounds. He's making a claim for his all star bid early! Andrea Bargnani chipped in with 22 Points, 5 Rebounds and 5 Assists picking up where he left off last year. Terrence Ross was a nice surprise with 13 points and 12 rebounds, a career high; and possibly the dunk of the year already, simply amazing.
Up next is Chris Paul and the new look Detroit Pistons!Last edited by Gosens6; 10-11-2012, 04:25 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread
Just finished my 2nd game with my Nets against a Raptors team that started Lin, Waiters, R. Jefferson, Pau and Brook Lopez, and I won 130-128 in 3OT. Yes, three overtimes. It was pretty epic.
First overtime, I was down 2 with 0:39 left and Lopez made 2 FT's, now I'm down 4. I come down the court and get a quick kickout to Nick Young for a 3. Down 1. There's about 15 seconds left and I intentionally foul Lin. He misses the first and makes the second. Down 2, and I come down the court with Derrick Rose, Hibbert blasts somebody on a screen and Rose drives in for a vicious dunk to tie it up with 4.6 seconds left. Toronto calls a timeout, gets Jefferson wide open for a 3 on the inbound and he bricks it. Heading to second OT.
Second OT, I was down 121-118 with 0.9 seconds left and hit a 3 off the inbound with Young. In the 3rd OT, I was down 128-127 and got an and-1 and hit the FT with Rose with 2 seconds left to go up 130-128. Lin missed the last second shot, and the Nets moved to 2-0.NBA 2K17 SimWorld MyLEAGUE: So Much Drama in the DMV - A Baltimore Bullets Expansion MyLEAGUE

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread
I think I will be starting mine over, just feel to many crazy things going down.
I am the Suns and I lost Gortat in FA by offering him exactly what he wanted and a starting to roll to the Bulls so he can play back up, then Lebron signed with the Bobcats and won the championship the same season. Plus with the roster updates just seems like a good time to start over.Comment

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread
Raptors escape with a win on their home court against Chris Paul and the Pistons with a 110-106 victory!
Red hot 3 point shooting was the story of the game for the Raptors. They went 14/33 from the 3 point line on the night, and shot 53% overall.
The Raps don't have a strong inside game and they need to live and die by their shooting abilities. At one point they were up by 13 points but once again the Pistons came storming back.
There were 9 lead changes the entire game and 13 ties. Andrea Bargniani had himself a grown mans game. 30 Points, 5 Rebounds and 3 Assits. Demar Derozan had 24 Points, 6 REB and 7 Assist.
Kyle Lowry was on point today with 14 points and 14 assists. It was a real team effort from these guys and their great shooting got us the W. It wasn't easy though. Chris Paul was all business with
31 points, doing whatever he could to keep his team in it, but, down by 3 with 45 seconds left, and a blown Larry Sanders layup cost them the game. 2 Lowry free throws later and the game was in the bag
Up next, the Charlotte Bobcats in Carolina.. .Comment

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread
I played one of my fav games ever on 2k. After loss to spurs we played hawks on the road. Close game until 4th quarter when the hawks started killing me, they were up by 12 with 5 minutes to go. Out of nowhere Danny Granger, who was having an alright game started outright balling. He scored the next 14 points with no threes. He brought us back and we are tied with 5.8 seconds left in the game and he grabs ball at free throw 3 guys jump at his pump fake and he fades away and nails it with .4 seconds left. It was awesome.
Granger ended up with 33 and 16 coming in the 4th. Hibbert, George and granger have become my 3 go to guys. 4 and 1 on the season and facing an undefeated timberwolves next. Augustine has solidified his place as starter. Averaging 6.7 assists and hill has been struggling....Comment

Ok picking the Bobcats for association because they're record was awful and I'm getting some extra training camp points for improving their record.
Fantasy Draft, Serpentine
Flipping a coin for draft position.
Heads = Upper half

Tails = 18 or 19
Heads = 18th pick
