Because people are over using the zone in 2k vs real life... It's NBA 2K not Choops 2k. My opinion would be different it was the other way around.

and i tend to disagree. all the zone does is slow the online game down making it more sim if anything... if you think this game online man to man is SIM, sorry to tel you, its not...

Well ur entitled to ur own opinion but in my personal uses and experience, the defense is ball hawking every easy past thrown. Title doesn't mean anything though. Completely irrelevant to the problem and The speech of the threads important. Calling us crybabies doesn't make you look much mature as us. Which is somewhat my problem right now, the tone and CAPs usage..

Because people are over using the zone in 2k vs real life... It's NBA 2K not Choops 2k. My opinion would be different it was the other way around.

but once again, what ur not grasping is, NCAA HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CORRELATION TO THE NBA OR THIS GAME....

if the game is broken man to man, you cant complain for people ADDING DEFENSE TO THIS BROKEN DEFENSE GAME. period.

the game sucks in man to man online.

the biggest misconception of all these losers who simply suck too much, and are way too lazy to put forth any effort into improving their man-defense. This is the COP OUT that everyone uses. It's unbareably pathetic.

But hey why even bother when I can sit back in zone n get e-z steals n sh*t, right! Play my own D? Hell na man let the CPU do all that

It's been thrown around so much that most of you actually, even obliviously have come to the conclusion that the statement above is an absolute FACT, and nothing else

sad, really. The only cry babies here are the people who will go ALL OUT to defend their precious zone, because they would lose, constantly, without it. It's really that simple.

If the ONLY option was to play man D, you think everyone would have a losing record?? be .500 and no better? No. You would still win games, and the best players would still stand out. That would suck for a lot of you though huh?

But instead what we have are people who go all out on offense, which we know is incredibly easy in this game - then proceed to sit behind the computer on D. Yep, some balls you guys got there. But screw it gotta protect my precious W/L record!!!!!! whatever it takes!!!! gotta get MJ!!!! no matter what!!!!!

all I know, is that if you're religiously defending zone, it's because you suck at Man-D. I can think back on the hundreds of Crew games, and how most people - even with maxed players - were TERRIBLE at sticking on their man. Awful (lol @ the ppl who Know that was Them). But, when I came across someone who was good at it....that sh*t was incredibly noticeable. That's for damn sure.

In fact what the hell will most of you do when crew comes back?? Suck again, that's what.

It's no different now, blacktop, most people can't guard for sh*t, but those who can still stand out, plenty. Even with all the arcade nonsense that goes on there.

At this point, 2k bball online is forever tainted, until 2k does something about it. Most of you wouldn't be sh*t whatsoever without zone, so keep defending it. You need it. There will be people who run 1-3-1 off-ball immediately, from Day 1, from their 1st game to their last, on 2K14.

gross, if you ask me. but that is what this game is now. (don't give me crap about what the game might be like on next-gen, the point I'm making is clear)

After several blacktop games, guarding your man feels so much easier in all other modes. Can't believe there are so many people who are so stubborn. People defending this crap are quite obviously crybabies....

Long post. But smartly worded, Zone is the last-second resort when someone can't guard the man, heck, I'll admit that I had to use zone with my Blazers vs an opponent holding RT with LeBron, my men (from Batum to Matthews) were tired. But I took the smarter route, it wasn't 1-3-1, but it was 2-3, which worked for the Mavs and now me, once LeBron was out and Ray Allen in, Man to Man again, and I won

But yes, I love blacktop, (750+ games and counting,) it's where you learn how to defend your man, I may not have the fastest guy/reflexes or the biggest guy, but at least I can get him on a hold when I try.

I'm glad somebody is defending zone. To me the game plays at a more realistic pace when zone is being run.

Man to Man is completely a disaster. You just have losers running to open spaces/gaps for leaning jumpers or two flicks of the dribble stick with LeBron to get a crossover into a dunk animation.

With zone the game is slowed down, people are forced to keep swinging the ball for a good shot.

And I run zones and still play the ball handler and switch to whoever is on the ball. If you see my scouting report it will be a A-, with something like 60+ % on-ball defense.
