    Just don't hold it, I know you hold that before but you press the RS as hard as you want just don't hold.

      So far After playing one game;

      Getting around people to the rim is easier, in a realistic way.

      People can't catch you on the fast break with an intentional foul. In 2K13 if you intentional fouled you would get a super speed burst so you could catch up with people.

      Once an animation is triggered it doesn't automatically make the move successful, finally!!! Usually if a dunk animation starts it's over and it's a guaranteed basket, not anymore! With contact you can force a layup!

      Contact is so much better and more realistic.

      Loving it so far.

        Another couple of points:

        You can tell you are actually playing different teams. Tendencies are perfect. Against the clippers cp3 was throwing lobs everywhere. It's amazing that teams actually play like they do in real life.

        You can actually block people and affect shots!

        I urge everyone who is on the fence to buy this game. It is not just 2k13.5. Only visually, not play wise. It looks like the same game when you see it, but you have to play it to realise it is so improved! Can't believe 2k have actually listened and fixed things for once!!!

          Sorry for triple post, but also passes are faster and not stupidly slow and canimated. You're more likely to connect your passes this time, especially with a good passer! No more cheese!

          Sorry I'm just loving it haha! Dunno how cheesers are gonna cheese this year!

                A word on these since I've seen it asked a few times. The layup(s) you see in the preview window on the signature edit/create player tab are just representative anims. Each layup package contains dozens of different layups, they are just not displayed. So to do Jamaal Crawford's hop step layup, you have to find the spot on the floor where it's valid (around the free throw line) and attempt a hop step layup. Same with Monta's spinning reverses. If you do reverse layups in traffic with Monta, you'll eventually see it.

                  i think i've changed my mind about this after playing with the controls...i like that the step-back is currently interruptible since you can start a step-back and then explode forward out of it half-way through creating kind of a "half step-back"...maybe the solution is to only have the step-back animation complete fully if the user queues a shot during it, or if the user just lets the animation complete...only in those 2 situations will the step-back complete fully. ideally, if the user queues a shot during the step-back (R2, tap back, then hold RS), then it would "pre-load" a shot, seamlessly branching into a shot in one smooth motion rather than it being 2 separate animations like it is now...as 2 separate animations, the foot planting is a bit off and the shot causes the players to step forward slightly on the shot after the step-back - like what Sundown was referring to earlier where you should be able to queue a shot early in the animation by holding the right stick, then the animation would smoothly branch into a shot in one continuous motion with foot-plating that blends from step-back to shot animation (same for the side escape dribble animations as well)

                              I haven't found anything on the matter yet.Is it possible to do a standing fake pass without triggering a pump fake or a hop shot(when you are faking passes from the post) after the fake pass finishes?I see a lot of those by the CPU but i can't seem to pull them off.

                              Additionally is the drop step dunk(from the post) completely removed?I can't perform those even on ridiculous mismatches like Dwight on Tony Parker.
