We have changed the criteria for Spot Up Shooter Signature Skill. Refer to the first post.Comment

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
it counts for ALL skills. You have to rethink all the skills you have given to players because there are 3 levels of each skill. For examp is Iggy a lockdown D level 1/2/3. Is Westbrook a finisher 1/2/3? And so on.
Lotta work to do for u guysComment

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
I think KJ should have either "Dimer" or "General" and also "Create", he was an expert in creating his shot (and in a very acrobatic way too).
I would have him like this:
-Dimer
-Acrobat
-Create
-(Finish)
-(Hands)
Also I have noticed that you are giving "Alley Ooper" to many elite PG's. I don't think too many players should have this. Gary Payton is the perfect example of an "alley ooper" to me.
I wouldn't put players like Magic, KJ, Isiah or Tim Hardaway in this same category. These can have their due with their good passing ratings and tendencies IMO

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
Harden should have the acrobat skill. I realize he isn't a high-flyer and thus doesn't meet one of your criteria, but he's constantly driving and shooting double-clutch, altered shots in the paint. It's what his entire game is based off of.
Also, I'm confused on the spot-up criteria because you seem to only be applying it to 3-point shooters. The skill is activated in the 12-28 ft range, so why no mid-range spot up guys?
If you guys decide to change it, then Serge Ibaka should have this rating. He has little post up game, and can't create his own shot, but he's a very effective spot up shooter when someone sets him up with a pass. Honestly, he should be the poster child for the spot-up skill. Not much offensive game, unless you get him in just the right situation. His shooting/offensive ratings can be kept low, but if you get him a spot up jumper, the sig skill kicks in and makes him adequate from that range.
(Obviously, this is not a normal night for him as far as shooting percentage [how nice that would be], but it is a typical night as far as the type of shots he takes and how he gets them)

Another heads up on classics: It comes to my surprise that Charles Oakley doesn't have the "Break" skill despite being one of the best outlet passers of the 90's.
Again, IMO this skill should be carefully assigned only to true masters of the outlet pass like Kareem, Walton, Oakley, Chamberlain (old), Bill Russell, Bird, Unseld.
I would set it as an alternative/maybe skill for 1995 Ewing.
The same could be applied to Barkley and David Robinson, although in their case it could be a matter of discussion; they effectively started many breaks with their passing, but not necessarily outlet (long) passes...Stockton could fit here too.

Re: HyperBaller/DC NBA 2k13 Signature Skills Project
I do LOVE this project, but unfortunately it won't work out as 2k is limiting sig skills to just 5. These kind of extraordinary work is the exact reason why there should not be a limit to sig skills. What if after all the hard work done by OP and community we see a player that deserve 6 sig skills? I'm not saying someone would, most likely not except Jordan and Magic, but it's the CONCEPT of restriction that bothers me so greatly.Comment

As far as WHO receives this skill, I looked at a few things:
1) Defensive Rebounding: above average drebounds per minute for their position
2) Assist: an above average assist per minute for their position
3)Teammates: how often to their teammates leak out instead of crash
If a player falls into ALL three of these criteria, they are eligible to receive the skill. That's why KG has this skill. If he grabs a rebound, I want him to "look" upcourt to find one of those guards breaking out.Comment
