Seriously, the mid-range jump shot is your best friend in this game. And there is no way you literally missed 10 uncontested layups in a row with the slider at 65... I have the layups slider at 46 and I've never had anything even approaching that problem.

Yeah, I hate to call out anyone but there is almost no way anyone could miss 10 layups in a row. You might get the odd blown wide-open layup every now and then, but certainly not four consecutive times in one game.

I've even found myself taking transition mid range shots, because the CPU gets back on fast break if you're too successful. And we all know that transition mid range shots are really inefficient, but I can hit some.

I used to rag on this game so much, but I realized that along with slider tweaks, I just had to get better. Contested layups can be missed. If you are trying to take 10 layups in a row then you aren't really playing a "sim" style anyways. You have to understand that in order to get these real to life stats, you have to play a little differently than you would another player on online. Slow the game down, run plays, look for open shots. With these sliders you will get rewarded for getting open shots. Plus, where is the fun in driving to the lane 10 times in a row?

Even with these sliders, I'm still finding it easy to attack the basket with certain guys like Derrick Rose and Monta Ellis. With the Bulls in Association mode, I'm scoring 35+ points a game easily with Derrick Rose. I even changed both cpu on-the-ball defense and defensive awareness to 100.

Yes, 10 layups in a row is not a sim style of play, you're right about that. But in 6 of them I was alone after a break or a pick, so... why go with the midrange shot? It's not very fun, but it's a must. I'm not criticizing this sliders, I really like them. But there are some things about this game that you can't change or avoid by tweaking the sliders. Watching Mike Bibby and Crawford making his contested layups against Bogut (plus the fouls in some of them) while you keep missing yours all alone (or against the other point guard, not the center)... it's kind of frustrating. I like to lose some games or to have it difficult during the course of the season, it gets real. But sometimes there's nothing you can do.
I will try some more midrange shots before quitting this game for good. Sometimes I'm good at them with Kevin Love (mostly from the top of the key), but the Rudys (Gay and Fernandez) somehow are not very consisting. Thanks for the answers.

PD: my friends... why would I lie? What's the point in that? 10 layups in a row, 6 of them uncontested. In fact, 2 of them were missed by Rudy Gay after a break, because for some reason sometimes you don't get the dunk. I'm guessing he was tired or there was no more "turbo" to spend (sometimes I use it too much). Thanks again.

PD2: I have 0% in team chemistry because I've got a complete new roster (traded all players). I'm guessing this must be affecting my FG% and turnovers... or it affects only simulated games?

You could've mentioned you had 0% Team chemistry... that's why you're missing all those layups.

So after fiddling with these sliders a little (but leaving them largely the same), this game is playing great now.

I'm in the middle of an association using 2011 rosters, and it is a lot of fun.

                  Very well done.

Didn't know that TChemistry could affect so much. Turnovers, maybe. But layups? Sometimes I wanna kill Rudy Gay

I just found out the best sliders are already made when you first get the game.

The diff. level is already set and the sliders are already set you just need to make minor tweaks to the sliders.

Are you kidding me? The default sliders don't give anything resembling sim stats.

Thats why i said u have to tweak them a bit.

but players actually play like their real life counter-part.

Hey just had my 1st game with these slider set. I finished with 120 something points as well with my opponents. And the 3 ball is easy to shoot. And I had a 53 -40 rebounding differential any suggestions?

I made some variations to this slider set and probably played the best game on here I ever have. I'll plug them in here when I play next time. The base set is outstanding, but I made some tweaks that I've found helpful. Appreciate it!!
