I have no problem with the new playoff cards I think it's a good thing new cards have been added to give leg pros a run for their money.

What I have a problem with is the same type of card having two different volumes. Legendary rivals cards and playoffs rivals cards. At the end of the day they all look the same you obtain them the same exact way than they should all be around the same stats. Look at twista's twitter if u have one his untrained pro rivals MJ has around the same stats as this new untrained single Carl Malone. This new update has made the "old" rivals cards worthless

And if he decides to continue to play he'll eventually have a full deck of v2 rc cards. I'm guessing of they get there they'll probably redo a MJ card and LBJ card and make them the best. I don't know how anyone could be content with A card you got months ago being your best card. Like I keep saying what's the point of continuing to play at that point. If you ask me they should redo a Bulls and Heat rc ( at seperate times of course) and remake the MJ and Lbj cards the best.. that the only logical way to expa nd the gsme and keeping MJ the best.

I really need some information. How long have you been playing this game? How many Rivals events have you played in and what rank did you place?

Won't be fixed before rivals later this week probably, looks like I'm not the only one who thinks the drop rates are lower on android I've seen other people tweet about it also

Twista I understand the passion around the game and your anger. However, lets not rewrite history or lose all objectivity. OS Sports has a long history of supporting 2K games, so when this thread started here I joined it. You absolutely helped get the sub-forum created and have been a great supporter of the product all along, which I appreciate. I have even told you that your site was great and it was nice that you guys started a fan site. Not sure what more you want in terms of recognition. I don't post over there because I simply do not have time to spread across multiple sites, something I explained a couple of times.


As for this update, we did not set out to "screw the vets". Quite the opposite, we provided a whole new tier of rewards to make the game engaging for players new and old. You personally have complained to me multiple times that there was no way to improve your deck. Now there is through Playoffs cards and the new RC cards. Many players with lesser decks than yours complained of poor drop rates, desire for Epic+ cards, cheaper Epic Packs, etc. All the things we did with this update.


The old Rivals Cards that seems to be the focus of much ire, were not changed in anyway with this update. They remain valuable good cards. They are still better than Legendary cards but below Legendary Pro cards. Adding a tier above Legendary doesn't change that fact. Yes, there are cards better than them now, but that is to be expected if the game was going to continue to grow. There has to be new better cards available to keep it interesting for people that hit the ceiling. If you objectively look at the stats of the old RC cards they will actually beat several Playoffs cards. The MJ Pro card in particular is near the top of the heap vs. Pro Playoffs cards. I would have to check the spreadsheet again, but only a few cards beat him. Take a look at the numbers. RC cards did not suddenly become "garbage".


As I have explained previously, the new Rivals Cards are based on being better than most Playoffs cards, but worse than Playoffs Pro cards. That means their stats are higher than old RC cards, but to be expected since RC rewards have always been top rewards. They will show up in the Playoffs card filter in the Collection vs. the old cards show in the Legendary filter. If we had made the new RC cards similar to old cards in stats, then we would get players complaining that they were not strong enough. To be top rewards we had to give them a boost.


Ultimately, if you had a good deck before you still have a good deck, just maybe not the "best" deck any more. Yes, other players can "buy their way to the top" through the new cards, but that isn't any different than before. Some players will decide to do just that and buy cards. Other players will opt to use their time instead of play lots of Quick Games or compete in Rivals Clash events to build their deck. Other players will rely on Season Games and the new rewards there to build their deck. This is all a good thing imho. Everyone has a means to improve their deck and have new things to shoot for. We have free and pay ways to get there just like before. It all depends on how you want to engage with the game.

I do not know why the Miami Heat would want to keep LeBron James since he is the best player in the game. How could they be contempt with a player you have had for a few years as being the best player on the team. Man you are going to be crushed when something similar happens to you.

I care about my deck... and if they remake a new Jordan RC and give him the better stats then the Malone card then that's fine... i'll grind for that card..to try to improve my deck. you guys are more worried about CD and not the game you all enjoy to play. CD will make their money. This game wouldn't exist if they didn't. So you don't want them to continue to do RC's and what? End the game? I don't know what you want. Future rc's is what I look forward to.

Lol this game isn't about winning championships. As far as I can tell the fun is getting newer, better cards. Once again someone is using an anaolgy that has nothing to do with the arguement. Trust me bro I respect the time and money you put in the game, but if they didn't upgrade cards, eventually you would have no reason to play. The game isn't about championships, its about replayabilty. And without the new cards/rc events this game wouldn't have any replayability. To answer your other question, I started playing at the tail end of the rc before the suns mavs rc... I ranked top 150 in suns mavs and okc and seattle rc's. Without spending a dime it cost me like 12 hours a day. Got a leg Westbrook and Kidd. Along with the leg supports. So I don't have nearly the time you have in and no money and said in past posts I can understand why your frustrated, but think the update gives everyone a reason to continue to play. Just my opinion I guess.

So Rank 1 and the places 151-650 will get the best player cards of the next RC. It seems like RC card V2 is pretty worthless already.
All in Top 25 only get a new playoff card as extra player card, no pro leg card for them anymore. Top 50 to Top 125 rewards stay the same. And everyone behind place 125 gets a nice reward upgrade. It's exactly the opposite like with the season rewards, where the top players get more and 3/4 of the playoff players don't have a chance of epic cards anymore.

1) Walton or Malone RC V2 pro x1
2) Stockton or Drexler Legendary Pro x500
3) Walton or Malone RC V2 x149
4) Stockton or Drexler Playoff card x25
5) Stockton or Drexler Legendary Card x1375
6) Hornacek or Lillard Epic Pro x2000

Everyone who's looking for the best card, go Jazz! Those legendary pro Stockton's will rule BC\MG, Clyde will also be great but not as outstanding in single stats & combos like Stockton.:thumbup:

Yeah I can understand that. I just think Cd is getting baahed about everything they did. If they upped the 6 rc cards that'd be cool with me. Just feel they made the gam es life longer with the update and no-one can respect that. Weren't most of you worried they were gonna end the gane with 2k15. Maybe they will. But it looks to me the game has lofe again.

I pretty much agree with everything nwgd said and what rob is saying but If I were him I would increase the stats of the six cards simply to keep the big spenders spending and keep everybody happy. All it really would do is keep revenue coming.
