Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
It isn't about being hard to beat. I have 3 Star Pros and so do they, all about the playcalls. It makes the game boring however. During RCs I don't really care but I like playing and watching the game so I don't 3/2 anymore and RC was the only time I did.
I just hate playing QG and seeing that 4th card come up a scrub card. Maybe if I had a button to just sim the rest and let me go on. They just remove any entertainment there was from actually playing the game and not just tapping through.Comment

Entertainment from watching the same 5 card graphic matchup I assume you have watched more than 10,000 times already (if you have 3 star pros).
There is no entertainment in watching the matchup... this game is all about the grind. I admit there is a thrill in winning a closely fought match but honestly after the first few thousand of these it tends to get a bit tedious...
What is the real reason you hate 3/2?
Me, I love beating a 3/2 and seeing the scrub card. It is like boom... there goes your crappy 3/2 lineup.IGN: nzjase

3/2's are just easy wins. Bring em on and I'll just keep knocking them down.
Besides, I had lost interest in watching the same graphics after the first MJ card.Click Here to join our FB group with exclusive deals, giveaways, hints & tips!

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
There probably isn't an effective way of nerfing 3/2 without making +5's in RC completely impossible to win.
What I have noticed though in regards to 3/2, before in RC's, the computer always threw it's strongest cards in the 1st and 3rd slot. In the most recent RC however, it seems to be randomized as to where it throw's it's strongest cards within the first 3 quarters.Comment

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
For example: 2x star pros and 3x stars.
Using your logic your deck strength would be only slightly below star pro but miles above star yet you could never beat a near star pro deck with your lineup as you only have 2 star pros.
To be fair, your suggestion is what I thought CD would do without working it through and it worried me.
Thankfully they didn't.IGN: nzjase

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
If you determined deck strength off of top 3 cards, +5's would be impossible to win. Say you had 3 Star Pro's plus fodder. +5 would be close to 3-4 HoF/MVP/RC pro's; how would you ever win that?Comment

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
It would nerf it, but it would hammer your ability to win +5 games in RC completely (with 3/2, 4/1 and 5/0 lineups) given you have to beat the tier above in most cases for +5
For example: 2x star pros and 3x stars.

I think they recognize that being able to win +5 games is important. I personally wouldn't buy hot streaks unless I can win 90%+ of +5 games, and I usually hot streak every game.Comment

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
I do not see how anyone beyond those with the best cards in the game could ever win +5's with a 5/0 LU, the difficulty of those games in the way $D intends them is absurd. Making the guys you face be a tier above and then expecting someone to beat them with a 5/0 LU is madness. That's why the 3/2 LU's are so popular, because it evens the playing field, allowing everyone to win +5 games at an acceptable pace.Comment

Re: 3/2 Nerf, when?
They do it by making +5 games slightly easier to win after the nerf.
If we are going to do 3/2 why have 5 cards at all? Then people would do 2/1. Let's just make it like war. Best card wins.
How about a balance bonus? Say the position bonus is doubled if your worst card is 50% of your best or better. Or 40% whatever number works to balance things. If RCs are harder so what, they are harder for everyone so it shouldn't matter. A dropping sea lowers all boats.Last edited by Rip4ever; 04-06-2015, 10:19 PM.Comment
