Still going strong right now but I got a 3 month ban on the last game with a whopping 6000 rank RC average finish (if that) . Feel really bad for anyone that didn't deserve it.

Still terrified of that freaking pop up. I quadruple check that thing every time...

You got falsely banned for 3 months??

To be honest, that's pretty unacceptable.

Also, I can't believe a bunch of you had a big old slap fight over semantics. The smug snarkiness was on overload for a while, and just really boring for everyone else to read. Jesus. Ya'll turned a 2 page thread into an 8 page thread b*tching at each other.

I admit shouldn't have fed the troll. Looks like CD are unbanning most people though but i think most of the vitriol comes from the unannounced inexplicable nature of the bans. CD could maybe handle this a bit better they're doing the right thing but in the wrong way.

Well, this is a really bad way to handle the suspicious cheaters. That results in many mistakes and they're taking forever to unlock people, it's been 36 hours for me and i have no response to my email, they don't even bother replying on twitter to my requests. Clearly their anti-cheater system is not working well, but they don't care, they just thing their system is perfect and that we're all cheaters (I'm Leg + and my best card is a pro epic Byron Scott...), this is unacceptable.

Well there is a good lesson i'll remember from that banning experience: don't invest money on that game cause they can decide to put you out of it whenever they want

I think the fact that my old Kindle crashed so often it probably looked like I was auto logging in and out I'm guessing.

But what's really scaring me now is my new Kindle (only $50 new) also crashes but not as bad.

For whatever reason this game just doesn't run well on that platform .

I don't even play that much and had a crap lineup and put about $110 into the last one too as I believe in supporting stuff that you/I enjoy.

I love this game for whatever reason and I hope I can keep tapping along for years to come.

With better luck of course .

I also got screwed out of 170 credits through errors and have been waiting around 7 days for a response .

I think the fact that my old Kindle crashed so often it probably looked like I was auto logging in and out I'm guessing.

Just be careful and document everything with photos screenshots especially if something seems fishy. You've got to have solid proof to even be able to talk to CD.

Hey guys. Anyone from here still banned. Now it's the 4th day for me. No reaction from Catdaddy.

my account is blocked for weeks and have sent multiple emails and complaints both for service of 2K as Catdaddy and I have not received any response.


I have not done any trick to gain more experience or climb faster. I've only sold a few cards in the auction house to realize my girlfriend because I started playing later I help you with letters and I did not want. I do not think it violates any contract.

I keep waiting for that anuleis my lock to continue playing, which I have already lost two weekend events.

Can either Brad or NWGD post a response as to why so many people were given their accounts back? I am assuming these were false-positives, and it's certainly worrying, no?

i would like to ask why after two days later, i tried to log in but it was not possible and when i tried using psn it says my nba2k16 save file not valid. What does this means? i can't reinstall on my iphone 6 now. When i just sign in without my psn, they say network maintenance?

Ever since MyNBA2K14 was first released there have been players that have attempted to gain an advantage over other players by cheating. We knew this would occur given that we don't have an energy system in place that restricts play, and we reward players basically the more they play the game. So we put in place measures to prevent cheating. The "hackers" then changed their methods of cheating to still gain an advantage. We then changed our anti-cheat tech and process. The hackers changed their methods, we responded. Etc... It's a constant back and forth battle, and one that we continue to fight because it is important that the integrity of the play experience is maintained for non-cheating players (who are the majority).


Over the years and with each product our methods of dealing with cheaters has gotten better and better. I will never claim that we stop 100% of the cheaters since they continue to find new ways to try to cheat, but we are very close. Recently in MyNBA2K16 we became aware of yet another new salvo in the cheat war. This caused us to respond with a harsher lockdown on accounts.


I will not go into the specifics of what we check because the hackers will simply use that to defeat our anti-cheat tech. I will say this though. An account is likely to be banned if you are using methods to accelerate the game speed beyond what is normally capable in any part of the game, if you are using tech that allows you to not have to tap on the screen to advance any part of the game, if you are using hardware that accelerates the experience, or if you employing methods that allow the game to be played in a completely inhuman way, then you are very likely to be banned. Any of these things are a violation of our EULA/TOS, and will be treated as such.


If you get the message that your account is locked, then it means you have been banned for violating the EULA/TOS (usually one of the situations above). You can dispute the ban by going into Options -> Feedback -> Card Issues and sending in a ticket. Include your account name in the message, and why you think you did not violate the EULA/TOS, or be honest and explain what you were doing. Honesty goes a long way. We will answer the tickets in the order they are received, which may take several days depending on the current Feedback load. We do not ban accounts lightly, and do not enjoy doing it, but we need to maintain a fair game for all of the legitimate players. Your account wasn't banned by accident or without evidence, and your ticket does not receive special priority. Have patience and we will respond to your inquiry.

Its ridiculous. I sent so many tickets and got today a response.

The Answer:

"Your account was locked because you have been found using a speed hack and/or a bot to play the game. By doing this you have broken the EULA/TOS and jeopardized the integrity of the game.We will not be removing the ban on your account because of this issue.

Once again. I never used anything like bots or speed hacks. Your costomer service and your so called cheat preventing is a joke.

Seems there was another round of blocks today after the maintenance, and my account got locked. Reading this thread doesn't instill me with confidence that it will get unlocked, even though I've never done anything but play the game with no bots, hacks, account selling, etc of any kind.

The account locking mechanism needs to be checked. I don't even think I'm that fast, and I have a full-time job and a wife, so my games played aren't even that high.

I've already emailed the card issue group and tweeted my 2nd tweet of all time to NWGamerDad hoping for a quick resolution before RTTC tomorrow. But yeah... I've gone months without a response in the past for other issues, so I'm probably just going to get over the addiction and not return by the time it's resolved.

In case somebody on my team or on the support staff is reading this, in game name is Dr Funk.
