IDK, I have played 12 minute games using your sliders and shot totals and scores end up being pretty realistic. I'll post stats of my next game.

      Cool

Let me know what speed your using aswell. Also, for some reason my roster edits work best on All-Star. When I switch over to Super Star Level all the players just seem to become even more Offensive minded and dumber on defense.

I hope EA didn't give this game the All-Madden treatment when you go up to the higher level.

I'm going to mess around again on Super Star and see if maybe gamespeed can counter somethings.

Well using EA's update online rosters or not I'm getting positive Sim results from using Ur new player ratings. I only tested two teams so I'm not going to go into great details right now, but I will give U guys some examples of what I saw the Cpu AI was doing during a game.

Positive Sim Examples: Teams getting back on Def. is much better! They still run the breaks but not the whole game. Also it's nice to see the point guard slow down the Fast breaks and run the Offense for his players or look to pass first instead of jacking up 3's!

The Cpu AI is Smarter! When double teamed down low the AI will try to kick the ball back out to the open man before the def. traps him! It was beautiful to see Paul Fierce on the block trying to score and all of sudden help Def. came over and he was force to pass the ball to Raef LaFrentz for the open 3 and nothing but net!

I notice some players will try to blow by U with some fancy dribbles and the pgs will do some no look passes just like the real NBA! Also since they are more missed shots U might see the Cpu AI trying to catch one of the rim on somebody every once in a while, which I love to watch!

Live already had great spacing, but with Playmakers new Def. Awareness rating in effect, it makes the offense a little more open and wide which is great for players with one on one down low to do their thing before help Def. arrives especially Post Up Players!!

Last of the Positive Sim example is U will see the Stars of the team shines! U will also see Different phases of the game! What I mean by that is U might see a team come out on fire hitting everything then all of the sudden the Cpu makes Personel changes from the bench because of foul trouble or Fatigue, and that team that was on Fire seems to go cold and now it's the other way around Just like real Nba. Also U can't go wrong with 8min.qrts. The Stats are pretty much realistic and balance in every category excepts the Blocks, which is my only negative right now!!

However the blocks does'nt Kill the game at all! That's all I got to share with U guys for now! I'm going to finish my Editing of player ratings! It's a long process but if U want that true Sim from NbaLive360 I recommend U to go work and get them done! Trust me all the time and effort into these player ratings will payoff Bigtime!! Once again Playmakers Great work and Thanks!!

          Re: EA's player ratings?

I'm testing a game vs my Mavs right now just to see how they would play on their own and so far early in the 1st qtr here's what I loved seeing. The Mavs are on a 3 on 1 fast break and Josh Howard is bringing the ball up the middle of the court I'm slightly in front him with Chris Paul and Howard has Jason Terry on his left and Marquise Daniels on his right.......So, I'm thinking let me just get all the way back to contest the layup when he tries to pass it and hopefully I don't get a fould called.

Well guess what Howard doesn't take it all the way he delivers to Terry for a transition 3-pt shot and Terry nails it wide open after pulling up.......

Now, what was so great about that play well Terry does that all the time for Dallas in real life he will settle for a transistion 3 and he usually shoots lights out on those plays......I'm a huge Mavs fan so that really impressed me by the CPU using Terry that way.

Well back to the game for me.

That's what I love about these new player ratings, the Cpu AI makes smart decisions now and will make the extra pass when needed, when before the Cpu AI will just come down the court and go straight to the basket or jack up a 3 everytime they can! Not the case anymore with the new player ratings!

I went and played again on Super Star Level for about 3-QTR's vs New Jersey I decided to lower the speed to 40 and it looks like that was the problem atleast from the 3-qtr's I played. The speed has to be lower but other than that it felt much better than when I first tried this ratings but I had the speed at 48 and with all the players boosted up for speed and quickness on Super Star Level they were streaking down court every possession much different from All-Star Level when on 44 or 48 speed.

So, the lower the speed the better on Super Star from what I saw. The players also seemed smarter and moved quicker to score out of half court sets. You definetly have to play defense much better on this level or you'll get killed.

My only problem is I want to play on the Baseline Camera but I just can't defend on that camera like I do on Press Camera. With Press Camera I can always keep most of the action in front me on defense. So, I think that will be my official game play camera. I would defintely suggest this camera if your getting exposed defensively too much. Once you adjust it's pretty good for gameplay.

                Re: EA's player ratings?

Really like the gameplay after these edits (I've done about half)

Bigs now keep up on the break / get back.

Playsets are so much better...as guys actually move to their positions with enough speed now.

The cpu is actually plays a really nice game in the half court...which you get to see a lot more now.

                Really, really nice work PM.

This process takes ages...i'd say it's going to take several hours to do all teams...but is well worth it for those who want a SIM.

                  Re: EA's player ratings?

I'm going to mess around later on tonight with players like LeBron and Lamar Odom's posistions.

I'm curious if I make their secondary posistion's PG's if they will actually bring the ball up court in the 360 version or slide over to PG when the CPU takes out the starting PG's on those teams.

If this can be accomplished it will add just another little touch of realism to gameplay. I'm curious because I see guy's like Dirk actually playing SF at times and Nick Van Exel is listed as a SG but he was playing PG yesterday when I played briefly vs the Spurs.

So, it's possible we might beable to get more out of the CPU in the flexibilty of their lineups they can use doing a game.

                    Re: EA's player ratings?

Hey Playmakers the edits were great and I'm almost done with about 20 teams. But here's my only problem that I've noticed in a few games that I've played outside of my season mode. The Cavs defense is one of the weakest in the NBA but they played almost as good as the Spurs with Spurs with the edits. I couldn't back down Drew Gooden in the low post with Amare and sometimes when I tried to drive their defenders close the lanes really fast on Nash.

I don't want to mess with the ratings because I think you did an amazing job getting this game to play much better on both sides of the ball. I'm guessing do we have to make all players be defended with high pressure defense like your sliders state and also will lowering the cpu's on ball physical defense help me post up easier?

I don't mind the Pistons swarming me but the Cavs defense should be kinda weak. But I do love the work you've done on the ratings and sliders.

They rarely get any blocks on jumpers now.

I just tried to beef up the defense in the game. If your looking to tone it down then yeah you could lower the CPU's and Human ON BALL PHYSICAL defense slider back down to 75 like I had it before. I play all my games now with the Press Cam so it's important to beef up the defense because some of the bumping you'll see helps to slow down the CPU sometimes.

Try setting the game up like this if you want more space or freedom to drive on offense.

Assign Low or Medium pressure defense to all PG's, SG's and SF's on both teams. Then like I said lower the ON BALL PHY DEF to 75 that should open up things for you again. IF you start posting up too easily I would slowly increase this slider back up.

I was going to lower the Shot Block Ratings but it depends on the individual controlling the shooter. I posted some stats of a few games and as you can see I didn't have many of my shots blocked. I use my screens very good and most times I drive then pull up for mid range jumpers.

But if guy's are seeing alot of block shots out on the wing then sure adjust the ratings of the perimeter defenders by all teams. Maybe lower them to 0-10 across the boards but I wouldn't lower guy's Kiralenko or Artest because they are very good at contesting shots out on the wing. You could also make the CPU FAKEOUT DISCIPLINE around 85-90 instead of 100 like I have on the sliders. They might go for more pump fakes vs you on jumpers.

Good looking out Realdeal! I've just finished all 30 Nba teams! I must say it was getting the best of me, but I hang in there til it was all done! I will touch the players block ratings later, right now I'm just going to relax and enjoy Playmakers's Masterpiece!!

I've only made about 50% of the changes so far.

A couple of things I've noticed about my game stats. I seem to be getting alot of assists. Hinrich is avergaing 13.6 pg and as a team I'm averaging in the high 20's... Is there anything I can do to lower this? I seem to nail about 5 (sometimes more) alley-oops pg, which is maybe why my overall numbers are too high.

And my 3pt % is really abysmal. Its under .200. I miss on average 4-8 wide open shots a game. The Bulls aren't a bad 3pt team with Ben, Kirk and Noc. (I edited Nocioni's 3pt rating to 76 - he's 1st on the team in 3pt'ers made and 2nd in 3pt%).

I have ramped up my poor shot release to 50, which is making my overall shot % to high (almost.500). I've increased my 3pt sliders from 39 to 45 and now to 50 and in 6 games have probably seen more of a drop off, instead of making more.

I just played the Pacers who made 8-15, then the Hawks who made 6-13 and they seemed to bomb them even with a hand in their face, while me, when I'm wide open I miss.

Maybe its just me being crap from outside the arc? I do make a lot of mid-range jumpers tho.

                              Cheers guys!!

If your completing a high percentage of Ally Ooop's you could lower the Dunk % Slider about 5-10 clicks.

If your looking to decrease your assist totals you can beef up the CPU's INT Slider to about 35 that helps them deflect or intercept more passes.

Here's a link to the average assist totals for all teams:

                                http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/statis...6&seasontype=2

You'll see that Phoenix is the best at 27.0 and Chicago actually ranks pretty high 5th overall at 22.2 per game.

As for your 3-PT shooting try increasing Long Range to 60 and setting Poor Release to 40%. See if that will balance things out for your team. I wouldn't mess with the CPU's shooting Sliders because looking at those you provided because those really aren't that bad. Indiana shot barely over 50% and Atlanta shot just under 50%. You might want to play about 2-3 more games because some teams might take a huge drop to around 30% and then it'll balance out.
