It would be kind of interesting to know what they were for though seeing as how no games have been played until tonight. That could be a possibility and about the only thing they could be for. All of the off season stuff should have already been on the disk.

Re: DNA is $19.99 on PSN (For used copies)
so is this gonna be the nom for 365 every year? because I normally get the game once its about 30 bucks. will the 365 carry over to next year or will it be like another 20 dollar fee from year to year, because I will be damned if I have to pay 20 bucks every year.Comment

Also take a look on the back of the game box...it states that unauthorized duplication, rental and transmission is prohibited. So, if I sell my games used or buy used games or rent games does this mean that GameStop, Blockbuster and I are pirates? Are we engaged in something equal to piracy?
Anyway I applaud EA, smart move...should have been done a long time ago!Comment

Buy new, feel that the feature isnt worth it, sell for $10-15 bucks.I'll be the first to sell my code for $18 bucks.

Re: DNA is $19.99 on PSN (For used copies)
I would and I have bought used games @ $55 used. GameStop sends out emails each Friday with coupons and some of those coupons are 25% off and if you have the edge card you get an extra 10% off which makes a $55 game cost $35.75 and not to mention the buy two get one free promotions. I don't play online and I could care less about the DNA feature, so it does not effect me and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

great question. i may go down to my local hastings entertainment store and blockbuster and check out the game cases. I remember back on xbox1, they had xbl codes among the insttruction manual loose on its own seperate sheet.. Are we looking at a similar resell market of GAMER codes?

who knows the legality of it, im just saying, some folks may want to save 10 bucks and never have the 365 feature and sell it to someone who bought it used.Comment

I looked on XBL last night and the 365 code was 800 MS points. That's $10. I guess I'll keep my rental, and not send it right back.Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!

Re: DNA is $19.99 on PSN (For used copies)
Sure, buying it used at Gamestop when it is new isn't very smart. But, what about after it's been out for awhile and the price of a used copy drops to $40? Or people who use Goozex or just friends who trade among each other?A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: DNA is $19.99 on PSN (For used copies)
How does a new copy become a used one? Right, someone buys it (there is EAs profit of that copy no matter what happens next with it) and decides to sell it. In other words: Why should they "make a dime off used games"? They already made their profit with the sold new copy of the then sold used game.
You might not agree with it, but it's business. You don't make things just to have people recycle your product. You want new sales on everything you make not used sales where you see nothing.
EA did what they had to do and I'm sure other companies will start doing the same thing. It just means us as gamers will have to be more picky about what we buy.
Again,
DNA IS IN THE GAME!!! It is a main feature that you don't have to pay for!
What you PAY FOR is the daily updates which only affect ONLIINE and Play Now!
Franchise mode has it's own string of DNA!!! No need to say EA is screwing you out of a main feature.
Even in the LIVE 365 video feature it says you input a code for the rights too it. It's not like EA is hiding anything.Last edited by DXZeke; 10-11-2008, 03:26 PM.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment
