I haven't had a chance to get to my ps3 in a week or so, have they fixed the hair issue yet for the players with long hair? If not, should I expect it to come through a roster update or a patch?

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
Court_vision, you are 100% right on this. I'm tring to hold out on this game until the patch with the hope that complaints like this are on the top of their "patch needs" list. I really hope they look in this thread and fix these issues. As much as I love the game, when I see stupid things like no help D with my teammates, and no hustle, or even motivation it seems, to go after the ball if its right near them, or when they "forget" to box their man out when he is right beside them, I really question myself, "Did I make a mistake in choosing this game ?"
I'm sorry if this post is jumbled up and difficult to read, its just that I've been so frustrated in some of the things that I've seen over the last few weeks and I guess this is a way of "ranting" and getting it out.My Teams:
NBA: Miami Heat
NFL: New Orleans Saints
MLB: New York Yankees
SOCCER: Real Madrid/ Man UnitedComment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
I agree w/ almost all your points CV except the Live is Back one. I feel like what they are saying is they are back to being relevant again in the bball community. This is something they haven't been since Live 06 imo.
So I think that statement is fine but they really do need to fix those issues. It would get that monkey off their back and take away this line they always get "Live is great/fun but..."
The steps they have taken this year have been great and hopefully the patch can fix or at least improve a few of these issues.Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
Playmakers is trying to edit the game and he says that there's no code there for kick outs...so I don't know how you've seen them?
I will apologise if I am wrong...and I hope I am wrong...but I've never seen them kick it out.Comment

Great post Jano.
Where I am coming from is that EA shouldn't be spitting out "Live is back!"...it should be us. There should be no need for them to say it.
Instead, as you said, the cimmnuity are basically saying "Great fun, but...".
Fix the things mentioned and there will be no need to self promote...everyone on here and other sites will be saying it for them.
And again, I don't want to be harsh...but most of the things you fellas are listing as being problems were all in LIVE 08 and LIVE 09 also. Anyone who's played the series before LIVE 10 will know that ther's several problems that seem to have been 'overlooked' for yet another season.
Rebounding, fastbreaks, cpu players stepping out of bounds, cpu players shooting from behind the backboard, cpu players standing there like zombies whilst the ball rolls away / no hustle = Live 08...and 09...and 10.
Three years.
IMO three years = way too long and they deserve to be questioned about why these things are still huge failures in the game.Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
I thought I saw confirmation that CPU time outs will not be patched, is this correct? I hope not. I know they call them to stop runs and such but if you play a tight game wire to wire the CPU NEVER calls a time out and I don't think that has ever happened in a real NBA game, at least not often. As a matter of fact some of the timeouts are mandatory. What about a timeout just for substitutions on occasion?Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
On offensive rebounds? I have never seen the CPU do anything other than go back for a lay up or a dunk. Never.

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
It seems to me that the only option they have post grabbing an ORB is to go back up / shoot. I hustled down a board the other night and pushed Anderson Vajero way off the block...he still got it and had no position, but he still tried to score. That's all I see for every player.
What do I need to edit?
If it's that easy to fix also...then can Marcus and Beluba please fix it????? I would like to play a Dynamic Seaon, so I'll be reliant on EA's rosters.Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
Honestly...I've sat here and watched this forum go very, very easy on EA this year.
Some of the things in the game are very poor and the other game would be torn apart for it.
People went over the top about this game post releae because it seemed so "fresh". That's because many of the fellas were 2K players who saw everything in LIVE as being new and didn't notice the many flaws.
As someone who played Live 08 and 09...most of those problems you mention were all in LIVE 08 and LIVE 09.
Fastbreaks have been missing the entire series.
Rebounding has been woeful the entire series.
Yes, LIVE 10 has "improved" them...but not to the extent that they are even close to being fixed.
I like both Marcus and Mike. I appreciate their efforts here. However, if you're going to come on repeatedly and say "LIVE is BACK!"...you need to get those things right before saying it IMO.
Don't scream out "we are BACK"...and then leave out rebounding code.
Don't scream out "we are BACK"...and then have CPU players run out of bounds often when i call a play.
To quote the great Hakeem..."stay humble, stay hungry". Don't spit out "we are back" when you make the 8th seed. Golden State wanted to tell everyone about beating Dallas in the playoffs...and they haven't made it back since. Don't just spit it out, actually produce results.
I am hoping this patch is EA really stepping up and showing us they are back. Not just rhetoric.
Maybe I am being harsh...but people have gone really easy on them this season. If you've played LIVE 08 onwards, you'll know that tonnes of probs from those games still exist. IMO that's dissapointing.
Let's see what they deliver in the patch. It's over to them now to really show us they're back.
Not harsh at all. I agree with everything you posted in this thread. I've shelved my copy until the patch is released. If they do a half *** job like the Madden team did with their patch, then this game is going back.Comment

Re: The patch - what's been confirmed?
This is going to make or break my Live experience. If it's not fixed I can't continue to keep playing. I'm still playing both and fully aware of both games issues but, this a main issue for me with Live.Moderator

bravo , i agree.
they need too patch in-game injuries or this baby is going on amazon and i pick up 2k for the year. I am a sim head and the thing si need patched, outside of the things u mentioned are CPU timeouts, which Wang said no dice too, in game injuries and cpu foul frequency. Forget bout me having to drudge thru dyNASTY this yearComment

pathetic if u ask me?
how hard can it be to tweak the TO logic? if it is a tough thing, Ill eat crow, but other wise its one of the ticks, that might tock this game to Amazon with a sale going to 2k, which i already played and i know its faults. but i;ll be ok with that.
ive been an Ea guy for a long time but not sure next year.
Why are some basic things still not in this game?Comment
