Honestly, I am not worked up about it or pissed off at all. Honestly

Just kind of perplexed by how the whole video game / computer industry thing works. I am not a PC guy and I'm not really a gamer...just sports. I'd actually like to know what goes on behind the scenes and what problems are involved. If you know and could post a thread somewhere else, I'd genuinely like to hear it man

No clue but I imagine that the big sports game companies have a deadline they have to meet and when that deadline is met, the game ships, no matter whether it is ready or not. I don't remember the last time a sports game was delayed.

it's QA department, either QA sucked or they didn't hire QA.

It's great and all but the game is FLAT OUT BROKE in major areas. OT bug, freezes, goaltending not registering. FF these are some of the MAJOR FUNDAMENTALS that don't work. I can't even get past 2 min in my Dynamic Season because the game freezes. That does not deserve a refund?

What if you where into your season and 3 of your 1st 5 games ended in a tie and it won't go into OT. Can you honestly say nothing, I'll just be careful next year? Come on FF

FF if you feel ok and hopefully you have not had some of these problems great but a lot of us are having MAJOR issues. I can't even play a game? FREEZING EVERY SINGLE GAME. That's major to me.

With all the issues effort means nothing to me right about now. What would mean something to me is being told what is being done to fix my problem and when? If it can't be fixed hell yes I want my money back.

It's seems like it's ok around here and they should recieve a pass because they have come on here on numerous occasions pushing there features and what there game is gonna do in DETAIL. Well come on here now and tell me in DETAIL what you are going to do so I can at least play the game. Grant it I sold my game for a lot less. Why??? I could not get it to play and I just got tired of the excuses. I deserved more as a paying customer.

I do agree on what your saying, but at the same time I'm playing the game for what it is, I'm pissed too of the issues in the game, but I will not dwell on them right now because I can't do anything personally myself.

You mentioned FUNDAMENTALS, well in that word the word FUN is is there, and even with all issue I'm still having fun, and I'm a dynasty guy and even though how broken it is, I still keep coming back to play, now I just play rewind games and single games.

all I know is EA better come correct next yea.

This is just my opinion, but I would love to see a 3rd company (Not Sony lol) come in and make a stellar ball game. I don't know if the market has room for a 3rd basketball title, but I know I would buy all 3. They could even make it every 2 or 3 years if they had a good team to update it constantly throughout those years until the next title.

Just my opinion.

especially sports games' yearly release schedule. there's just no way EA or 2K will take a year or two off to really spend time to fine tune. you get a year, make the best of it. judging by some ppl saying they're seeing some problems since live 06, i'd guess they're using same engine since then. no way they can rewrite/revamp everything, mike wang or no mike wang. probably have to wait for next generation of consoles before seeing full potential of his involvement.

plus with EA's cuts and relatively small team from what i've read on this board, it's hard stuff. video games getting more complicated, even patching something seemingly simple can possibly break stuff. especially if there's high turn-over in developer dept., wouldn't want to be the new guy coming in reading someone else's code.

obviously i can't speak for EA/vid game industry, but just my take as a former programmar. regarding patching nowadays, obviously they're good to fix stuff later, but i agree in that they can't be used as an excuse to push up a release date and send out something half baked. but it's what happens sometimes, gotta meet that deadline that's set. i'm sure these guys would love to spend as much time as they need, but just not possible.

I hope not...I'm still thinkin Mike wang is gonna save the day...
I know he is not the end and the only solution, but we can not minimize his influence on this years product, he is the man...all I am saying is that it's a shame to spend the money we spend and not get a return our investment...

when I got Batman I played it everyday, unchartered, grand theft auto IV...and even with live and it's defects I still play it, but not as much as I would like to.......the game is still playable but it would be ENJOYED so much more with the issues fixed and the game solid..that's all...just hate we have to look to next year all the time to get a decent game out the box..(notice I did not say perfect,...decent would do...smile)

That is the difference FF. You can play rewind games & single games. I can't!!! It would not let me play 2 minutes before locking up. If I could have just been able to play the Dynamic Season I would have not griped as much. No way I got my $$$ worth. I only got to exp half the game. No can you see my beef? I actually liked the game when it worked.

I'm just po'd man I really wanted to do the Dynasty Season. It's cool. I got the College and it is turning out to be pretty good imo

Dynamic season... oh well. No ranked team play... a huge loss, but what can you do. OT Glitch? easily fixed.

My main problem is, as spoken, the 3 point shooting, momentum differential between offensive and defense player, and the force field around the ball handler in certain areas. Maybe you guys don't play much online, but everyone is abusing this now.

As I said before multiple times: THE KEY TO ANY SPORTS GAME IS NOT REALISM BUT HAVING A COUNTER FOR EVERYTHING! If there's an unrealistic counter for an unrealistic move... people will adjust. Look at the losing the ball inside (before they changed it...) that was unrealistic... but it's also unrealistic to wiggle around under the hoop (but they can do it again... bet they're glad.) It's important to know that when a player wants to do something and you know EXACTLY what they want to do that you will be able to stop it.

You start from that, then you add 'beautiful animations' and other aspects of 'realism.'

That's how I feel, and save for go-to moves I felt that 09 was an amazing game in that aspect. They took a step back. Made the game much better to look at, improved in every area EXCEPT balance between offense and defense.

Balance is the most important thing in any game! You can't hide imbalance for long; it's taken a month for everyone to master shooting 3s and wiggling to get open.

That's my 2c.

Last night Online play definately was different...In fact I'd say based on last night the 3pt shooting issue was fixed...The game felt more balanced and you had to play more of a real game by not exploiting the 3. I even had numerous fastbreaks off of missed shots

For the 1st time I also noticed little red and blue arrows next to players names in the matchup screens...Could the change be the effect of DNA on the game??? All I know is if the game continues to play like it did last night a patch might not be needed.

Did they do something to fix the game...anyone know???

A title update will still be coming... what you are seeing are the streaks turned on.

Iminurbase: Can you please confirm, for everybody here, how often streaks will be updated? Some of us were under the impression that this was a daily update.

iminurbase, do you think patch #2 could possibly hit this week or are we looking till after the holiday? I plan to pick this up on BF with the BB $34.99 deal.
