In a perfect world we'd have Live 10's gameplay (minus the contact animations) and 2K's presentation all rolled up into a single game.
I had heard about 2K's issues with Association Mode, but it sounds like most things are fixable.
Dynamic Season is a cool feature but it shouldn't be the game's top priority. After a while, it gets old going back and playing Rewind Games, especially when there's no dynamic commentary to go with it. Now, if we had fresh lines of commentary, it would be a different story as it would give the games a different feel.
I mostly use the Nuggets. I hear 2-3 times a game about Nene is from Brazil and is the strongest and most-powerful of the Brazilian NBA players from Steve Kerr. That drives you nuts after a while.
The contact animations really make you batty, too. The layup solutions help but at the same time, the game certainly has a scripted feel to it. I mean, when CPU big men are euro-stepping, spinning and hitting 18-foot fadeaways and blowing past defenders with the ball it is annoying. Especially when you can't do the same things. Try shooting a J with a big man and if you don't have 3-5 feet of space, that shot gets blocked EVERY time. Running a fastbreak is almost non-existent and those blocks from behind really get my blood boiling.
You certainly can see the potential with Live 10. The off-ball control, half-court plays, L-stick control and realistic stats are all big positives for the game. But, the negatives really stand out after a while.
