I dont think that post was towards you. In general we all know what you're describing. Thats why I started editing some stuff... The game is not balanced and too many players all play with the exact same skill in excessive fashion.

There are DNA ratings and one is called recovery, under defense. Dirk for example is an 83. This allows your guy to catch up to you after he's beaten off the dribble or on a pump fake.

The only way to eliminate it is to tweak it because none of those updates will ever give you the right ratings

I happen to agree with that guy on the other page though carnal. a defaulted Live is a game that's more frustrating than fun for basketball. 2 patches and it plays 10 times worse than on release day, and that shouldnt be.

That needs to be accounted for, not just told to use a custom roster. That is a choice you dont have with this game.

23, if that's the case, then should I just delete the patch? What are the advantages, in your opinion, of playing without it? Have you deleted it?

Clear your cache and then when then each time you put Live in your 360, refuse to download the update. Doing this will mean you won't be able to play Dynamic Season games or get any of the DNA roster updates, if that matters to you.

Was that to me? I apologize if it just sounded completely like a bashing but I was really frustrated. This thread seemed active and people were discussing gameplay so I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here. I appreciate what carnal suggested to get more fun in the game that's what I was looking for in my post because the way it is is just far too frustrating. Me and my friend played 4 hours straight switching between teams and we literally almost started fist fighting because we had no answer for what was going on. But to be honest when I throw a bball game into my ps3 I'd like to play, not fiddle with rosters for 10 ours before I can have a TOLERABLE experience at best. I was just curious as to what other people do to enjoy this game because I love basketball and haven't really played an NBA Live since 04, 05.

The game shines in so many areas then lacks in others. I can understand your frustration and share it as well.

Nope. I'm OK sticking with the patches as I do like to play some Dynamic Season games. Perhaps after the playoffs are over, I'll delete the patches and go back to the pre-patch game.

Ok, I personally like the game a whole lot. I thought I would turn it back in within 7 days to get money back, but I have 3 days left and haven't thought of turning it in. There are lots of things you can do on this game individually that ppl don't take advantage of. Ball handling and shot selection are huge in this title. We all have seen games evolve, and to gamers, anything short of real humans on the court playing is a failure. I understand flaws, but this game is fun.

I agree totally. There were some moments where I'm like wow this game is amazing but then 30 seconds later I'm frustrated beyond reason. I can't even explain it actually, I remember one instance where I was crossing halfcourt with Steph Curry bringing the ball up and I just thought this is great. I'm definitly going to look into grabbing Live 11 when it releases because I like a lot of things that were done, my first post was just out of pure frustration lol.
