From, crossing over to change direction or crossing over a guy from a standstill position to get by them, its great. I like how you can crossover from a standstill position and your player kind of hesitates before bringing the ball across his body. You can chose to either complete the crossover, or fake it and go in the direction that the ball is in.

    Hard to explain.

Yep, that's the Iverson move that I was talking about earlier. I love that move...

Good post all you guys great stuff here. Also thats a very good example of seeing how a good player handles the ball.

I usually practice my moves with Iverson because of his ball handling skills and if there was any player who does this well its him IMO.

Using him should give you a good feel on "How" and "What" kind of moves are available as far as handeling the "Rock" in NBA LIVE and what player ratings are required to pull them off,Iverson is a very good example once again to see them at their "Best".

I have to agree that AT FIRST, I was thinking, and I'm still thinking, that isomotion could have been the analog stick(like it is), but simple crossovers should have been the dribble move button, instead of two buttons doing essentially the same thing.....that way I wouldn't have to go into this isomotion stuff just to pull off a simple crossover like I can do in NBA Live....however, after playing ESPN enough, and constant practice with isomotion, I figured out that none of the crossovers are predetermined. what directions you're pressing + button push pressure determines

what you do, and how you do it(depending on dribble ratings)....now I can do the simple hesitation crossover, or a simple hesitation fake crossover all I want. Bottomline is, ESPN gives the ball handler just as much control as NBA Live...the problem is you have to work hard at it to get this freedom, or as TMorgan would say, you have to "achieve the isomotion." And by work hard, I really mean work hard, cause you aren't allowed freedom to mess up, cause if you do, it's a turnover.

To throw a bone to NBA LIVE, I love the way the defense automatically alters your shot, it's a very cool concept, though with the spacing being so limited, an altered shot happens way too much

I'm also a big fan of the double team animations.

Anyone notice the player taunting? For example, Pierce ran the break and dunked it. The celtics were killing the raptors and the crowd was booing and Pierce waved a finger after he dunked it. It was pretty cool, IMHO.
