The people that complain about ESPN are the same ones who get beat night in and night out by the computer. Thats why they switch to the easier game. (NBA live) Too bad you have to sacrifice the graphics and the great gameplay along with it. Id rather play NBA Street Vol.2 than Live.

But you are totally mistaken. I can constantly win a good percentage of the games in ESPN. Maybe the reason why I go with Live, is because it is a completely different experience every game. I respect the fact that you like ESPN, because it is a good game, but to come in here with a post like that, is just well, ludacris. Some of us here at OS are old enough to remember the glory days of the NBA and really miss the style of play, which Live does a great job of replicating, all the while still playing to teams tendencies. That is why some of us would rather play Live or Inside Drive.

Definitely...and it's still bugging me. However, sometimes you got to take the bad punches...and I've accepted this from both games failing in terms of real playing styles.

Out of the box...LIVE got it much better. Ie, faster tempo teams play faster etc.

However, that's easily rectified in ESPN bu a contoller swap. So, it's even there.

If we are being brutally honest... NEITHER game got it right again.

I am not so convinced LIVE has different styles. Different game pace yes...but once in the half court, it's pretty much identical. Every team posts up both sides, every team has guys in the deep pockets.

In that respect, I feel like the ESPN plays that are in the game...are better. I played the Spurs and noticed them posting up Duncan, while Nestorovic was at the top of the key. A true PF iso...

I've also seen Shaq go to the top of the key to run a triangle...so there are some sweet authentic plays in there.

The corner shot thing is a big pain...I've seen guys shoot it, but it's always from broken plays.

Ultimately, both games are good...very good.

But neother is perfect.

For me, I just can't dig the pace of the game in LIVE that the ridiculous passing creates. The passing is just plain and simply stupid. How many baseball passes do you see in the NBA?

How many times in LIVE does a big man come down with a board, wave his elbows around and hand off to the PG to walk it up...?

None.

They all rocket the ball up court. It just creates a horrible pace to the game IMO...but isn't a game killer. The boarding issue bugs me, and I love rebounding battles, so that's a negative for me (won't be for most). I prefer ESPN's boarding, spacing and game pace. It's really just personal taste why I am playing ESPN over LIVE

To be honest...the more I look at the ID04 vids, the more I am convinced it's going to be by far the best game for AI. I am enjoying the change of pace though, so I'll stick with ESPN for my season and LIVE for one off games

Detroit will play crazy D

Its incredible what you do with the sliders on this game. ESPN captures the feel of NBA Basketball right off the bat. No1 wins shaking up everyone with crossovers. No1 wins doing dunks all day eaither.

Tell me, how is Live a deffrent exp. every time you play? You see a new crossover or somthin?

I thought Live was too easy. Picked it up and shot it right in the garbage can, 2 pts for luda. I picked it up later to sell it to Game Stop.

I huge turnoff was the fact that you can abuse the prohop and there is two buttons fo dunking and shooting. Im like wtf? Graphics are wack. Gameplay is a snore. Players move too much and clutters up the court. Maybe if they fixed the graphics and add some space to the court, it can catch up to NBA 2k2 I mean 2k1.
