But what if you forgot that Draymond Green is playing Center, Point Guard, Forward, of Shooting Guard IF you decided to put him at those respective positions.

    (2) Highlighting the player and calling a screen definitely still doesn't work. It usually the center that comes to set a screen despite having another position player highlighted. The second Warriors sequence in the video shows a better example of me trying to get other players farther from the ball handler to set the screen, but ultimately it was always the center (Zaza Pachulia).

1.) Don't think we can for 18, but can look for 19. Appreciate the feedback and the goal is to make calling, running, and executing plays for users to be easy to do, understand, and fun.

2.) I'll look into this. I know it's possible, but I'll try to track this down.

Maybe it should be L1 + player icon.

That would allow people to choose the screener.

To be clearer, it could be hold L1, select icon of screener, then continue to hold L1 as we do now with the roll/pop options intact.

Please EA give us a serviceable Association mode. That is going to be the deal breaker for me. 2k's MyGM is too good to pass up if this Association is bare bones like 16. This game is so much more enjoyable on the court though.

Really want to know what you found to be better. Because each time I switched to 2K it put Live back into its place in just about every area. I had a post yesterday where I played each game in front of three non-gamers (giving zero input on which one I preferred) and it was a unanimous thing that 2K looked more realistic and reflected a real game more accurately. And if we get down into the X's and O's of things, Live would be destroyed in terms of realism. So I'm curious as to what you found to be better than 2K17.

I have seen many of your posts and I am not so sure I want to waste my time trying to quantify why myself and a friend enjoyed one game over another when you have already said it is blasphemous to do so.

In saying that maybe this will help you see where I am coming from. I am a coach like you. Most of my game playing is late at night after a game or after a long road trip when I get in and my family is in bed and need something to do to kill time while my game film uploads. I have moved from the days of having the time to play two to three hours a night every week. From a casual perspective, staring at this game and staring at the other I enjoyed this demo better. To each his own though. The problem for me as I have said in all of my post will be:

            1. What do they do with any type of Franchise mode?

            2. Do CPU teams and sim stats resemble what their real life counterparts do? 75% of what I played on 2K was simming MyLeague and MyGm so that will be a big point for me.

As for anything else, I enjoyed the One mode. I have never been able to get into MyCareer but I can see myself getting into the One.

I bumped the game speed to 100 and now I feel like this the best basketball sim game I've ever played....and that's coming from someone who wouldn't touch previous next gen NBA Live games with a ten foot pole. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. However, the way each player and position FEELS is spot on, the pacing of the game is spot on, it's actually SUPER FUN to play man on man defense. Shooting is still kinda tough for me but I'm getting it. All in all I've pre-ordered this game and can't wait for it to come out. Time will tell if I also purchase 2K.

This is actually exactly what I was wanting to know. I wasn't saying you COULDNT enjoy it, I was curious as to why you prefer it. I can 100% see how someone would rather it be a "pick up and play" kind of game. And there's nothing wrong with Live being that way. I think it's a great route that they took with the game. I also think The One is absolutely awesome. If they can keep that same immersion throughout the season and on down your career, that may be worth the buy in itself. I just need a little more activity from the AI when I'm in that mode as too often I'm getting standstills for the last 10 secs of the shot clock.

I did refer to someone saying that it was more realistic than 2K as blasphemous haha. I want both games to be as good as they can be. Competition is good with every game.

Definitely not buying this game. Live 18 improved alot but it's not enough to justify my purchase. I'm a pro-am player and it sucks it's not 4 quarters.

In all seriousness (if you were being serious), who cares what looks better. It's all about what plays better. That's my main reason without digging deep why I'm preferring Live 18 at the moment. Yes 2K looks better, in large because it tends to play like a movie imo, it'll look better with lengthier animations. I don't like lengthy animations personally in a sports game.

Yes buying! Just went #1 in draft, game is really fun, looks great on PS4 Pro, and this is just the demo. EA has 30 days to iron out any kinks but there is something really fun and a little RPGish to The One!
