Dont know how many noses you got around that star of yours, but here is another one.

I have no idea how you did it, but you have created the ultimate Bball game here with your sliders and your playbook changes. I have never been so pulled into a basketball game, where you must play defense good, or else you will see and you will be beat by a computer that runs PLAYS! its awesome. Love the specific playbooks as well, as we can really see the difference in play styles. All I can say is cheers and here is to a job well done. Live is has always been the more fun game of the two out there, and with your adjustments, it is as true to life as well as fun.

Playmakers, I noticed two things playing with these sliders:

1.- I can take an offensive foul almost everytime if I hit the Take Charge button. I think it has to do with the Charge Foul Frequency that is maxed out. Try it yourself and maybe lower it a little.

2.- TOO MANY INJURIES!!! I'm having too many injuries right now. I average like three or four per game!

Playmakers, I noticed two things playing with these sliders:

1.- I can take an offensive foul almost everytime if I hit the Take Charge button. I think it has to do with the Charge Foul Frequency that is maxed out. Try it yourself and maybe lower it a little.

I hardly see any injuries with it at 62. In fact the injuries I do see it's always minor and they come back into the game usually after sitting out about 1 QTR.

You could probably lower it to 75 but remember it effects the human player aswell. Th ereason why I raised it to 100 wasn't to help the human player draw charges vs the CPU but vice-versa. It helps to stop Human Players who like to take their post players and just over power the CPU every time down floor. Now, it's a gamble if you put your shoulder down and just back down without worrying about a charging foul. I rarely use it to stop the CPU because like I said it was intended to slow down human controlled players being set at 100. It's kinda like my Reach In Slider it helps to stop Human players abusing the steal button.

But any slider can be lowered to anyone's liking I just set up a base set that allows the CPU to function and not get over powered by Human players every game.

Yeah there not perfect and the games not perfect but they are very entertaining. I just wanted to make the gameplay good enough so that guy's could enjoy this game without feeling like it's waisted money. So, for atleast the next month or so it gives guy's like you and me something to enjpy until Live 360 hit's and hopefully less work is required......

how come phoenix has a high screen on team strategy, and playmaker on quick plays? i think playmaker should be on the team stategy, i tried it and steve nash just keep scoring and no assist, when i put the playmaker on their strategy now nash pass alot and do alot of fast breaks. just asking

I've test played Phoenix over 6 games and haven't had a problem with Nash getting any assist. Also, don't get confused with the Play Name as I"ve pointed out before some play names doesn't mean that is what the play is for and Playmaker play is designed to get the PG as the primary scorer. So, if you set that play up for Nash on Team Strategy he's the #1 in that play if nothing is there he'll kick out but trust me if he beats you in the paint why would he kick out if he can score a layup?

Go back and look at the Playoffs last year and watch how teams forced Nash to score and he did as oppose to force passes once he got in the paint. Highscreen get's your PF up high setting a pick for the PG then he roll's to the basket looking for the PG to hit him for a layup or dunk......now ask yourself this question which play sound's like it gets Amare and Nash more involved together?

Also, Phoenix is going to fastbreak in this game regardless of how you setup play set's simply because EA programmed them to run under team strategy. Before you play a game hit the R-1 shoulder button I believe it tells you each teams strength and you'll see that Phoenix is set very high towards fastbreaks. The plays aren't going to stop them from running unless the fast break isn't there that's when they turn to the Quick PLays and run plays that are assigned to their Half-Court game.

But I don't put any restrictions on Playbooks. I even created an enitre seperate thread dedicated soley to play set's. It helps guy's to modify and build their own customized Playbooks for every team that play against or for their team. Don't just stick to my setup if you have something that plays better you personaly. I would never tell a guy hey don't change the plays if you like something better for a certain team.

I play with camera at Baseline Low I don't know if that makes a difference, then again I seem to give up too many points down low in the paint. Maybe my defense just sucks, but I did notice that if my ball handler stands still long enough there is a good chance that the defense is getting called for a reach in foul. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks and once again great sliders

You could lower gamespeed down to 40 and make sure that the CPU On Ball Physical defense is at 80 because I increased it with my last update.

As for Reah In Foul you can lower it to about 45 but then there will be hardly any perimeter fouls called. Remember when we first got the game even EA had Reach In fouls at 50 for Default play.

Ok I'll try game speed at 40, and yes I have been using your most recent updated settings. One other thing I noticed is that sometimes the CPU ball handler will just randomly walk out of bounds...LOL it's kinda funny but I wouldn't want a cheap turnover in a close game in Dynasty mode. Anyone else have this happen to them?

post all the stats using playmakers sliders
and then we can vote on the tourny mvp n all star team, i thought that be pretty eventful

Great job on these Playmaker. I just purchased LIVE for the XBOX this past week. I tweaked your sliders a little bit, but for the most part they have stayed fairly similar.

I am enjoying LIVE more than 2K6 now despite both games having faults this year.

My question is do you have to set up the playbooks and such for each team every time you play, or is it set up to where you can just go throuogh and set everybody's up one time and then save the settings, and have the playbooks still be there the next time you play? If it is a one-time thing, then I will probably give it a try, but if it is one of those 'every time you play' type of deals, then I dunno.

I'm about to give the sliders a try now as well.

You have to set them up every time you start a game. Just pause the game and switch the controller to the other team and adjust their playbooks and team strategy. It takes all but 5 minutes.
