The only things that is wrong with the game now with your sliders is that its to easy to score with the outside scorers runner and inside scorers one hand shot its almost automatic and the ORB obviously is a pain. All that defence to force a miss for the cpu to get the ball back and make a close range shot that goes in 99% of the time....... please fix these things and I'll be one happy camper.

Alright this is number 1000 for me.
I just played a double overtime game with the heat vs Spurs. The spurs got me in the end though by 4. I am only playing 5 min qtrs right now.
        Heat Spurs
        79 83
        reb 34 24
        ast 12 11
        stl 5 17
        blk 3 8
        fg 42 45
        3 40% 13%
        OR 14 9
        DR 20 15

        Shaq 28 and 6 reb
        Posey 12 and 3 reb
        Williams 14 and 3 ast
        Wade 13 and 6 reb

        TD 19 and 11 reb
        Bowen 11 and 6 reb
        Manu 14 and 4 ast
        Parker 19 and 3 ast

Nice game overall wish I would have won though. One thing I did notice was Walker posting up a little to much. I would like to get him out on the perimeter a little more. Can this be done, you think?

no i meant after a year in the game cuz noone is gonna restart their dynasty after an update comes so they are gonna keep being out of date after a couple of trades in the season plus free agents and the draft the following year.

I actually have Walker playing SF and Haslem at PF so with the playsets he's outside more often. Posey is coming off the bench because Haslem is the actual starter.

I'm not sure who you are refering to CPU players or Human Players?

If it's CPU players lower their shooting sliders down. If it's human do the same or switch over to CPU SHOT CONTROL ON like I play.

I'll provide the list of plays and explain how each work.

Then you can you use the charts and assign the plays based upon how the CPU's lineup looks later on in your dynasty. It's really easy aftet you figure out how the plays are suppose to be executed.

For Instance at any point in your Franshise if you are playing a team down the road that acquires a good low post scoring PF or C you should always assign the a Power C or Power PF play. That clears out one side of the court and allows those players to operate down low in space unless a double team comes.

Plays like Highflyer SG or SF are designed to attack the basket with guy's atheletic swingmen like LeBron, Kobe, Francis and T-Mac.

Plays like Rising Sun, Philly and Boston are geared to free up PG's off of high Screens so that they can drive to the rack or kick out to a wing player for a mid range or long range shot.

Turn down the reach In fouls to about 55. But if you let the game play out it settles down the further along you get and it fluctuates from game to game depending on teams.

So, if shooting fouls is too high lower it down. I like it because both teams get into the penalty situation and strategy takes an effect even more.

                    35-Shooting Foul
                    50-Reach In Foul

That should solve your problem but then you might see games reduced down to 10-15 FT's per game. Some guy's might think that is accurate be in reality NBA teams average around 25-30 FT's per game. Reach In fouls is one of the most common fouls called in Basketball.

This is a list of the top 10 teams last year in game infractions. The #'s show there fouls per game and there opponent's fouls per game. So had the game played out for you I"m guessing you would have seen about 15-20 fouls called at the most once the calls settled down. That would have put you pace around the league average or close to it using 10 Minute Qtr's.

                    1)Chicago..............24.30 23.34
                    2)Orlando..............23.62 23.41
                    3)Atlanta..............24.50 21.67
                    4)Portland............20.76 20.36
                    5)Boston .............24.39 23.62
                    6)Utah ................26.69 25.09
                    7)L.A. Clippers.......22.18 23.58
                    8)Philadelphia.......22.90 23.52
                    9)Denver............ 22.90 23.90
                    10New Orleans......22.96 21.07

Here's a Link to the complete list of teams for Infractions last year. I have certain sliders set high to duplicate the amount of calls you would see in an actual NBA game. The calls also help to slow down the pace of the game and give you an NBA feel between stoppages of play. Other wise both teams migh shoot a high # of FG attempts per game do to the lack of fouls being called. So, I'm guessing neither of those players you listed were going to actually foul out. But it would have made you adjust your strategy.

Hey playmakers do you assign the team you are playing with certain plays in team strategy or leave at at default, user team only? I noticed I was playing with the hornets and there play is rip iso. I went into playbooks to see where its starts so I could run it. However they didn't run it ever. So maybe it doesn't matter where you put the user team strategy because it looks like they don't run it anyway. I would like to know what you found on this. Also I am playing the Lake show right now with G.S and Kobe is ripping me a new one. Wow

Team Strategy is a situational play they will run from time to time. The Problem was every team had the same situational play to get the SG the rock. Shooter A was a 3-PT play setuop for all SG's. Well in close games teams migh not always need a 3-pt play. For instance Miami was switched to a play called FLARE. That is designed for either Wade to take a jumper or Shaq to get the Rock down low. It gives them two options and from time to time they will run it as their GO TO PLAY listed under Team Stratgey.

So, they migh not call the play in one game but in the next game depending on the opponent they might adjust and call it more before cycling through their Quick Plays. This is how I actually got teams to throw different defensive looks during a game. I used the Team Strategy to designate a special defense for each team rather than Full Court Press for all teams.

Play more games and you'll see teams mixing it up defensively like never before in Live.

Also, I forgot to tell you that I switched LeBron's 2nd posistion to PG and man it's scary realistic how you can manipulate the CPU's Offense to play. He actually slides over to PG if Eric Snow doesn't come into the game and he simply destroys little guards trying to contain him off the dribble.......

I have so many more things I've done outside of the Playbooks that I didn't realease it's awesome man. Seriously, guy's like LeBron can be listed under Playmakers aswell and that makes them TRIPLE DOUBLE Threat if you assign plays for them to score, rebound and pass. I have the Spurs bench setup with Van Exel, Finley, Horry, Robinson and Rasha and they are sick vs your backups.

I found away to get the Bucks to play Redd, Simmons and Mason all together in a small ball lineup. That's what I like about this year's Live the CPU will send out small ball lineups and use a guy like Van Exel at PG instead of his listed #1 posistion which is SG by DEFAULT.

No I know the cpu switches it up all the time. My question was does it matter if the user changes the team strategy for his team? It didn't seem to matter when I switched it, so I called my own plays with the d pad.

The Human setup doesn't matter as much. I basically worked to enhance the CPU's strategies.

The only thing I would reccomend for Human Player is to make Defensive Pressure HIGH for all PF's and C's on both sides.

I don't understand CPU shot Control. I have Ben Gorden in my 4th season. He is in the 90s for both FG and 3P. Currently, he misses quite a bit and i am not using the cpu shot control. if i turn it on wouldn't he make nearly every shot?

plus doesn't take away from the fun on hitting a big three by knwoing that all you did was hit B button? I like the fact that every jumper i make has something to do with my own release point.

Just had a great game with the Rockets vs Suns. I won by 8 with the rockets. Nash and Stoudemire were in foul trouble most of the game however. One question for you. Do you think that McGrady may need to be switched to a high flyer. I just don't like how he can't really finish strong at the cup as a scorer. Also I have to commend EA on the fast breaks. I have never seen a game use a athletic pf as they should. Well this game nailed it. After Amare went to the bench they brought in Grant and he could not stay with Swift. I was actually witnessing for the first time a big man run in the game. I think I had at least 2 or 3 alley oops to Swift cause he would outrun Grant down the court. I can't believe some people are missing out on this game because they don't like EA.
