PM, can we use these sliders without having to use the playbooks and yet get great results in any game we play vs the cpu?

I noticed though, after I changed the pressure and took my controller back to my side, I played until the first whistle then went back in and checked. I used the accept button and they were reset for the other team again. I'll try again, I have the PS2 version, so maybe it's different. I've got the playbooks down and don't have a problem with them.

You only have to do it for starter's because when the SUB's come who ever is playing those same posistions will get the same pressure automatically.

I'm always looking for ways to make Sliders provide the best gameplay. You can use the ones I posted but I'm not done creating Playbooks for every team.

The Sliders combined with the Playbooks is what will bring out the best in the game overall. I'm up to about 12 teams right now and I just have to catch up on the player movement over the summer to get rosters implemented into the sliders aswell.

But you can test play with the CPU teams I"ve already completed on the FRONT PAGE.

        Houston
        Dallas
        Miami
        Minnesota
        San Antonio
        Philly

PLay Dallas and watch how they move the ball and throw different combination defenses at you.

That's all I'm trying to do is get the game to have great flow and have guy's enjoy the game during gameplay.

That's all I wanted was for guy's to give Live a chance with sliders because it can play some very good basketball after you tweak it. I think too many guy's gave up on the game simply because they didn't like gameplay at DEFAULT settings.

              That won't be too hard.

It will basically be Kobe shoot, Kobe drives, Kobe shoots some more....

But seriously I'll try and get Odom involved more on the perimeter kinda like a Point-Forward and Kwame Brown might get a play assigned as aswell. But it's mostly going to be you know who that gets all the touches.

Too Bad EA too out the Triangle Offense because mostly likely Phil will run that offense again this year.

                I couldn't agree more.

I love playing this way. Now, I just need to improve my fg% and throw less TO's.

Yeah i would of loved to see the Triangle with Kobe, Odom, and Kwame...but thats what i was looking for....some Kobe, Lamar, and Kwame offense. Kobe is too boring

where do you set DEFENSIVE Pressure to HIGH for all C's and PF's and MEDIUM for all PG's, SG's and SF's on both sides? is this required for the sliders to work good?

Go to settings, select playbook, then defensive matchups and assign pressure.

Also under playbook you have Offensive and Defensive QUICK PLAYS. The Bottom 4 plays for offense will be assigned plays for the CPU's top players. Those are the plays I'm listing for each team. The Defensive Quick plays are only 4 plays total use the Defensive plays I listed for each team.

Once that is done Go To Team Strategy and Put in the The Best Offensive/Defensive Strategy play I listed. Hit Start not Triangle for all these Options when you are done or else they won't save and carry over once you switch controlls over to your team.

When you get the Controls over to your team the only thing that you really have to do is set DEFENSIVE PRESSURE for all your players the same way as you did for the CPU. The playbook is optional for Human players (Meaning you can assign what ever you like to play with) during gameplay.

These Suggestions are all important simply because they combine with the sliders to make the gameplay more realistic on both ends of the court.

Don't forget the Sub Freq and Fatigue Effect changes. That helps to cut teams down to 8-9 man rotations. Scrubs only play if guy's are getting into early foul trouble.

Love the work, but quick note, the days of zone defense in Boston left when Jim O'Brien left. I watched many Boston games last year and I don't recall them playing zone. In fact, hardly any teams play zone for more than a couple minutes, as a change of pace. Also, most teams don't do a full court press; at most, the PG will pressure the ball, but that in generally only seen with players like Marcus Banks, Darrell Armstrong, Lindsey Hunter, etc.
