Love the work, but quick note, the days of zone defense in Boston left when Jim O'Brien left. I watched many Boston games last year and I don't recall them playing zone. In fact, hardly any teams play zone for more than a couple minutes, as a change of pace. Also, most teams don't do a full court press; at most, the PG will pressure the ball, but that in generally only seen with players like Marcus Banks, Darrell Armstrong, Lindsey Hunter, etc.

Exactly, trust me they won't run Zones most of the game. The CPU will switch up to Zones and Presses just to show a different look. I set it that way so teams look different from all over the league. You get a different look from team to team depending on who you are playing.

But realisticly, Dallas and Minnesota ran more matchup Zones than other teams last year. Boston actually ran Zones vs Dallas last year at Boston because they couldn't match up overall. I have bot the Mavs and Celtics games on tape from last year and the Celtics ran a 2-3 Zone most of the first half.

Believe it or not the Spurs actually ran a few Zones last year in the playoffs vs Phoenix to try and slow down Nash. That was an idea they got from Dallas using that strategy in the 2nd round vs Phoenix. So, you will occasionally see teams run a Zone or Press during the course of a game.

However, this is NBA Live and my defensive settings just makes the game play really different from DEFAULT settings simply because you want see different looks by teams and now this adds the element of surprise to the game when your PG crosses half court and BAM he walks right into a trapping defense when you least expected it.......

Test it out you'll see they don't do it all game but they will throw it at you.

also PM, any suggestion of what team I should play, so I can feel playing a very good, realistic game?

If you want to start up franchise and build up a team where you can't dominate right away I'd say use Charlotte or Utah.

Hey PM, after thinking this game might be a bust, your sliders and play strategys have put this game on equal playing field with 2k6. This **** that you have figured out truly is incredible. Off the subject I played an old fried in Madden 06 with your sliders. I blew him out, this guy had been beating the sh** of me for the last 3 years before he ran into realism of you sliders, but this thing that you are doin with NBA 06 is just unreal, just wanted to say thanks and yor work is truly appreciated. You should start a Company and call it SLIDERS!!!!!! Now that I have praised your work and caused you head to swell just a tiny bit.. WHERE ARE THE LAKERS PLAYBOOK, TIRED OF WAITING DAMN-IT MR. BRYANT #8 THE COACH DESREVES BETTER

If you want to start up franchise and build up a team where you can't dominate right away I'd say use Charlotte or Utah.

i meant what team to play against, so i can feel like playing a very good competitive, realism game.

True, and Phoenix ran a zone during a game vs. the Spurs. Funny because earlier that day, I corrected a buddy of mione by telling him Phoenix doesn't play zone. However, both instances were for short periods of time.

They are actually being tested right now. I should have the Lakers posted in about 30 minutes. I'm trying to get a play that gets Odom out high handling the Rock a few plays.

As for the Sliders, I kinda had a pretty good idea of the game based on what I did last year with Live 05 using the same philosophy. EA actually uses the QUICK PLAYS as the base Offensive Playbook. The Human player just has to spend time studying the plays or else we will be lost as to what each team should use and run most the game.

What I've done is now for instance in San Antonio even when Ginoboli and Parker go to the bench you can't relax because the Playbooks I created will allow a guy like Michael Finley and Nick Van Exel to come off the bench and kill you aswell. So, I had to think about key players on the CPU's bench aswell when creating the Playbooks.

Play the Lakers Bryant and Odom will run a two man game that is sick. Odom through Kobe a alley oop as he came off a high screen pick set by Mihm. The play that they love to Run is called Triple Threat where either Bryant gets the rock and looks for Odom on a cut or Odom initiates the offense and looks for Bryant.

Hey playmakers, the lakers offense was awesome when i played. Kobe and Odom dominated the game. But with the Cavaliers, Lebron didnt get the ball as much as he should have. And Hughes took tons of shots. Do you think scorer SF should be the first play?

I'll have to test them out again but try like one more game because sometimes guy's will errupt the next game. I tried to get LeBron more invloved as a setup man in the Cavs offense so that he could not only scorer but get a few assist aswell.

But I'll test them out again once I'm done with every team.

Indiana is done.

Just for fun if you add Reggie Miller to their team when he comes off the bench a play that really works for him would be called Shooter B, he will run the baseline and setup for 3-pointer deep into the corner.

I didn't assign the play because he's not on the roster but if anyone adds him to the Pacers just for fun I would highly reccomend this play to be added to their Play Book. It would allow him and Steven Jackson to excel at SG.

Yeah, I ll give the Cavs another try. I see what you're saying, since Lebron is an initiator/scorer in real life you tried to emulate that. Great idea. I ll let you know how it goes.

I switched Scorer SF into their QUICK PLay slot and moved Cavalier to their Playbook. That should solve the problem and get him to shoot more in the game. Triple Threat will allow him to get a few assist by setting up cutters down down the middle.
