Just had a great game with the Rockets vs Suns. I won by 8 with the rockets. Nash and Stoudemire were in foul trouble most of the game however. One question for you. Do you think that McGrady may need to be switched to a high flyer. I just don't like how he can't really finish strong at the cup as a scorer. Also I have to commend EA on the fast breaks. I have never seen a game use a athletic pf as they should. Well this game nailed it. After Amare went to the bench they brought in Grant and he could not stay with Swift. I was actually witnessing for the first time a big man run in the game. I think I had at least 2 or 3 alley oops to Swift cause he would outrun Grant down the court. I can't believe some people are missing out on this game because they don't like EA.

We will have to discuss later in more detail abotu the Super Star ratings. I was thinking alone those lines aswell that T-Mac should be a HighFlyer and a Playmaker since he does create for others as well.

I see him launching more jumpers than attacking the rim but it was onlt two test games I saw him perform. I think someone actually started a thread about other Super Star ratings some players should be switched to in the game. McGrady and LeBron are two right off the top of my head. LeBron could possibly flirt with triple/doubles in this game if you balance the Cavs Playbooks for him to be more of a passer and scorer. I know in one game I played against him he had like 6 assist on his own so it's very possible that he could do something in a video game that has never been accomplished before by the AI on it's own which is record a triple/double vs a human player.

Just want to thank playmakers. I was ready to get rid of the game the same day i got it, but his sliders and playbooks make an arcadish game the absolute basketball sim.

I have so many more things I've done outside of the Playbooks that I didn't realease it's awesome man. Seriously, guy's like LeBron can be listed under Playmakers aswell and that makes them TRIPLE DOUBLE Threat if you assign plays for them to score, rebound and pass. I have the Spurs bench setup with Van Exel, Finley, Horry, Robinson and Rasha and they are sick vs your backups.

First off let me just say that these sliders are the bomb diggity!!! The gameplay with these sliders is just unreal. I played 4 games with these sliders last night( I also did the pregame preps like he said to do, including the playbooks). Anyway with these sliders it truly feels like a NBA game. I played as the Kings for four games last night and it was a blast.
First off I played the Mavs and the final score was 110-106, which is cool since both teams pushed the ball the whole game and it was a scoring fest just like in real life! The second game i played the Bulls and I won 88-80, again the Bulls played like the Bulls slowing the game down and trying to keep me from playing up tempo. Game 3 vs the Lakers I won again 91-88, man Kobe was hard to contain he had 42 against me! I scored the last 10 pts to pull out the win. And finally game 4 I played the Suns, this game was unreal, it went back and forth the first 3 and 1/2 quarters and then they ran away with it 115-102. Nash was unreal vs me he had 33 pts and 15 ***.
The stats for these 4 games where great with the cpu shooting a low of 40% one game and a high of 46%. I shot around 40-45% every game!
Ok now the negative, with these sliders the only negative was the number of fouls and of course the FT's attempted by both teams. I shot 33,44,38, and 41 fts in the 4 games, I am not for sure but that seems really high!? The cpu shot 37,21,33, and 30. Again I think this is the only thing that needs tweeking with your sliders playmaker! I cant beleive how good these sliders make this game!!!! I usually never touch NBA Live until the season starts and play NCAA Football until it the NBA season does start. But I can not quit playing this game with these sliders! It is pure NBA bliss, the best NBA sim I have ever played!

Some games there are but its not to bad. You have to remember to get good position and not try to block everything. That's where you get alot of the calls. Also if you have a stopper, pick your spots. The good thing about these sliders is even if you have a outside d stopper it doesn't guarantee the steal. If you try to use it to much you will get whistled.

This is kinda like Sir Jam mentioned it fluctuates from game. But my reasoning behind the philosophy of setting the Sliders high was simple to control the Pace of game and provide and NBA feel.

You'll see more contact calls in some games then you will see others. Steals were kinda easy in the game so I made the USER play it smart if they always tried to steal the ball there is a risk/reward factor get the steal or get called for reaching in.....what I wanted was more guy's to plays posistional defense and stay in front of the front but always going for a steal.

I did post two settings on the front page for Shooting Foul's and Reach In Fouls. The lower settings 40 and 55 should cut down on the FT's about 5 per game less. But also keep in mind that teams shoot roughly 25-30 FT's per game in the NBA during the regular season. It usually goes down in the playoffs simply because the ref's let teams play a little more physical.

Here's a quick breakdown of all teams last year in regards to fouls per game. I highly suggest checking it out so that it gives guy's a better understanding of why my penalty sliders are set up kinda high.

I am using pm sliders but I play on superstar. To answer your question it is tough to win with them. I got B Diddy in foul trouble so that didn't help. The problem is they have no inside presence. One thing you might try is putting Baron at the 2 and Fish at the 1, and Jrich at the 3. You decide from there if you want Dunleavy at the 4 or the bench. Doing this will open up some one on one's with for Baron.

I use the Lakers so I'm not any good anyway, but I got smoked by the Warriors by 23 pts. yesterday. It was as bad as 29 at one point. My lack of free-throw shooting (14-32) didn't help matters.
