Re: Playmakers All-Star/Press Box Cam/Team Specific Plays

i think 8 mins/50 game speed is perfect for me. Scores are realistic. I lost two games by clutch shots in the end by the computer. I was Golden State.

@ Dallas (Stackhouse made an outside shot) I had 1.4 secs to comeback and win, but unfortunately I came out with nothing. Score in the end was like 99-101 Dallas.

next game was another intense game.

    vs Lakers

same thing happen when I had the lead. But Kwame Brown made an inside shot with less than 2 secs to go. (I swore I guarded him really good. I also prevented Kobe or Odom from touching the ball) But again, I came out with nothing in the end. Score ended up 98-97 Lakers. Very intense game with realistic scores/stats.

I only won 1 game with these sliders (8 mins/50 game speed) But it's all good. Very competitive/intense games. 8 mins is perfect!

Thanks for feedback. I figured Gamespeed at 50 was best utilized for 8 Minute Qtr's.

You could probably even go up 9 Minutes but not 10 or more.

So, if anyone is interested in using Gamespeed at 50 here's a good post to read.

        I'm a bit confused, yeah
Unfortunatley the plays don't save so you will have to set it up every game.

PM, that's too bad. But doesn't this whole strategy with changing the CPU's playbook get messed up after a trade, etc.? What if (would never happen, but still) Tim Duncan would be traded for Shaq, then San Antonio would have two plays designed to get the ball to the PF and Shaq, playing C, wouldn't get a lot of touches?

I have seperate thread that allows guy's to create their own playbooks and assign CPU plays based on that scenario your speaking of for season or dynasty play.

It's really easy to understand who the plays are desihned for and in that situation if that trade did happen all you would need to do is take the Plays that were designed for Duncan out and insert the same plays that were listed for Shaq in Miami.

Remember guy's the plays can't be saved and if you see guy's getting traded in your dynasty just look at my Playbook Thread and it will help you decide which plays should be used for teams making trades for impact players in Live.

I'm going to take a look at On Ball Physical Defense for Both sides aswell. But not to the point where guy's are following other guy's around the court like magnets.

I wonder if that slider is making the Offensive rebounds float into players hands aswell..... ...

Ok call me crazy but I think after two games the best setup for REBOUNDING by both Human and CPU is actually this way listed below:

              Human Offensive Reb-0
              CPU Offensive-0

              Human Defensive Reb-0
              CPU Defensive Reb-100

I actually went an entire second half on 10 Minute QTR's using Phoenix vs Portland and the two teams combined for only 7 offensive rebounds. Now I play the game honest and fair. I don't crash the boards at will and I always stick with the shooter until possesion of the rebound is controlled by either the CPU or onew of my AI teammates.

For example if I shoot a midrange jumper or 3-pointer with Nash or Marion I will stay in control of that player and not run directly towards the offensive boards or swith to Amare down low when the ball is in air. I also think that ON Ball Physical Defense this year is screwing up Offensive rebounds because it feels like the ball is being suctioned up right into the offensive player. It's kinda hard to explain but I got great results by lowering all rebounding sliders to ZERO accept CPU DEFENSIVE Rebounding.

I need more test results from other guy's before I make this a permanent change.

Has anyone tested out these adjusted settings yet?

I'm interested to know if anyone else see's Offensive rebounds happening less with this setup.

The last game I played Bucks vs Mavericks had 14 Off Reb apiece.

I'm playing Bucks vs Pistons currently.

I'll let you know the outcome asap.

ok. i played another game, and guess what?

once i again i lost by a clutch shot. it was houston @ golden state (me), score was 108-109 golden state, houston had the ball with under 5 secs remaining, yao touch the ball and made a mid range shot from the top of the free throw circle. i had 0.6 secs to go, but once again i came out with nothing, as baron davis missed a 3 pt shot from half court (i had no time outs btw) score ended up 110-109 houston. very intense game, but now i lost 3 straight games by a clutch shot. tmac was unstoppable, but yao was the mvp of the game.

Damn, what did the game play like on that speed? Was it a fastbreak fest or what?

not really, you can just tell the difference form like nash n oneal alot more
i jus figured if its 45 speed for 10 minute then 50 for 8 minute so 6 min would be 55 n five would be 57-58...

Man that's why in close games with the CPU I like to use up most of the shot-clock and limit them with very few 4th QTR possessions. If I get an Offensive Rebound I always kick the ball back out and reset to kill more clock time.

So can we not do fantasy drafts since we need the playbooks or are the sliders enough alone? I really enjoy fantasy drafts, but I do want a more realistic game...also how much harder is All-Star from Starter, im new to the game? I would like shooting % between 40-50...can anyone help me?
