Well it wasn't pretty after playing until halftime. The Sonics just were too explosive. They had the lead 52-32 because Ray Allen caught fire and the Blazer went virtually ice cold without any really good jump shooters.

Here are the stats right up until halftime:

      Portland-32 vs Seattle-52
      Rebounds-17/26 (Offensive 8/7)
      Assist-7/11
      Steals-2/6
      Blocks-3/0
      Fouls-10/14
      Turnovers-10/8
      FG's-12/32-18/39
      FG %-.375/.462
      3-PT's-0/1-1/4
      FT's-8/14-15/16

      Top Players

      Portalnd-Randolph-(8-pt's, 4-Reb's, 3-Asst, 18 Minutes))
      Seattle-Allen -(23-pt's, 8/12 FG, 2-Stl's, 19 Minutes)

Looks like most starters got about 16+ Minutes out of a possible 22 in one half. So, that's pretty overall. Allen Played all but 3 1st half Minutes while Portalnd got 18 Minutes from Ratliff, Miles and Randolph.

so if someone wanted to actually play a whole game (12 min quarters) what game speed would you use?

Ray Allen falls into that "Manu" category. A week into my dynasty and he's averaging 39 PPG. The Sonics have deadly jumpshooters.

No BP, you misunderstood me. The stuff is right, since EA said it, I was just talking about how I misunderstood all the sliders. Thanks for letting us know, the game is playing great.

                REVAMPED FINAL BASE SLIDERS10/16/05)

These sliders were adjusted because I wanted to beef up the CPU defense and also get the amount of fouls back to NBA League averages. There was too much up and down play without stoppages of play for extended periods of time which is unrealistic in my opinion. If you don't agree with the high foul totals then I suggest lowering them to your desired taste. I'm going strictly based on league averages with my sliders. As I mentioned before the total team fouls should be around 20-25 per game with FT's attempted being very common around 25-30+ per game.

I also noticed that if you limit your control to one guy defensively like the PG you'll see more realistic fouls spread out between him and your AI Teammates. Allow your other 4 guy's to defend their own man and you'll see more realism in how the game plays out. Usually the contact fouls are called because your trying to block every shot in the paint instead of letting your AI Big-Men take some responsibilty. Not all players will perform the same defensively if you relinquish some control but hey that's makes the gameplay better in my opinion. IF your San Antonio why not control Parker and allow your AI controlled Bowen or Ginoboli try to handle Kobe by themselves or your AI Duncan defend the post on his own.

I also set the Rebounding sliders back Close to DEFAULT because it seems like things just get worse once you move them around. It seems more balanced at DEFAULT especially if you block out on defense and don't try to crash the rim after every offensive shot. Have trust in your low post defenders and they'll rebound on thier own if they are rated pretty good. I think too much tweaking get's the game too unbalanced. I also went back to just two seperate Game Speeds 45 and 50. I think below 45 just makes the players become slow to react or make moves. In return 10 minute QTR's is the highest I would reccomend overall because stats come out better with these sliders based on that time and game speed aswell.

Level: All-Star/Press Box View -2 clicks from DEFAULT Camera/Shot Control Optional

                Game Speed's
                45=8-10 MINUTES
                50=6-8 MINUTES

All Penalties sliders are setup based on NBA League average. So, if you don't agree with the league average lower them at your own personal options.

Again as I have stated before these are some really great sliders. I love playing live using these sliders. But I really do think you need to consider dropping the in air collision foul frequency. At 100 every time someone drives to the basket and puts a shot up the head to the line for 2 fts. I think at 100 it takes away from the realism of a big man that plays good defense. When there is a fouled called 100% of the time there is contact that is just not realistic! And again it is set at 100 % for IN AIR COLLISION FOUL FREQUENCY.
All of you other sliders are near perfect in my opinion, I have played this game to death with your sliders since it came out and I am loving it!

I'll actually just post an option anywhere from 90-100 that way guy's can lower it or raiste it to their preference. The reason I like it high is because it forces me not to try and block every shot and since I stick with my PG on defense my AI teammates pick a realistic number of fouls down low without it really hurting me.

So, a lower setting would probably be good depending on who you control defensively. But I'll update right now.

Yep, basically it comes down to personal settings. The base set is pretty much done so as far as shooting ranges and penalties those are personal settings.

I'm done with everything. I provided playbooks, play diagrams and rotations as extra features to help with the sliders. Anything can modified by the user. My next stop is Live 360.......

Can you post some shot display screenshots ? I'd like to know, how the CPU team shot ! How many mid range shot, etc, etc.

So if you play a match with Playmakers settings, make a screenshot of the opponents shot display, and post here.
And make a screen of team stats too.

                          Peace

Can you post some shot display screenshots ? I'd like to know, how the CPU team shot ! How many mid range shot, etc, etc.

So if you play a match with Playmakers settings, make a screenshot of the opponents shot display, and post here.
And make a screen of team stats too.

                              Peace

                              I don't have a screen shot but here's a recap of a game:

Pretty accurate for 11 minute QTR's using Dallas vs Cleveland. Both teams are average on defense with a Super Star Players in LBJ and Dirk. Larry Hughes injured his ankle and didn't return after the 2nd qtr.

I used all settings listed with Shooting Foul at 34, Reach In-50, and In Air Collision at 100. FT's were right around League average 25-30 and Total Team fouls were about accurate based on last years ESPN.Com Team stats.

                              http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/statis...5&seasontype=2

Some guy's don't like the Reach In Foul up near 50 but it's part of basketball and that's the reason why teams get in the bonus situation by the end of each QTR. So, I set penalties to what you see in an actual game. There are tons of Reach In Fouls on the perimeter in the NBA. Otherwise you'll have no stoppage of play and the game will go up and down the court unless a shooting foul is called which isn't realistic.
