You can't, they always stand there. It's the biggest reason I stopped playing this game for the time being.

With the strides that Live/NCAA BB and 2K10 have made in this area it makes 2K8 practically unplayable.

I have to admit, it's starting to bug me as well, but I try to up my play calling to counter that.

Is there off ball control in this game? I ned to do something to mke my players stop standing completely still on offense. How am I supposed to work with that!?

In my limited time so far with the game, I have trouble getting the ballhandler to stand in the exact right Blue flashing spot to trigger the next part of the play sometimes. It seems like they will move too far past it if you barely touch the thumbstick. Anyway to fine tune this or just takes time?

Are the Rosters on xbox 360 named 09/10 roster with coaches names very accurate rating wise? Are these the ones peopl always are talking about

It seems like they will move too far past it if you barely touch the thumbstick. Anyway to fine tune this or just takes ****?

You could try lowering player speed to see if that will make it easier to control the players. I think I have mine at 40 and have no problems getting my players to stand in the blue circles.

You don't have to be on the EXACT spot. Around it is fine. The player is actually waiting for his teammates to get into position to start the play.

use quick screens to get players moving around a bit if you don't wanna go through a whole play

but yes i do see it, although it didn't bother me at all until i read about it on here

Hey guys, I need some help. I can't seem to get the plays working, and I use UCLA High Post but, I realized it made my center campout at free-throw lane, and i don't like that so Idk what offensive playbook to use. And what defensive playbooks should I use? I like to pressure the offense big time. double teaming all over the place, so what should I use? FYI, i'm all-conference level but I'm ok at it. Just got the game last week. Lovin it, but I'm not that great. I dominated NBA 2k8, even the HoF level. I'm PS2. And I can't seem to find a timing on shooting. I have to drive my PG for now, but it annoys me that they can block him off the lane easily. And what's exactly the point of changing sliders? I might want to, so any suggestions? and my offensive style of playing is few picks. again, i'm new so i need someone to recommend a good offensive style for the game. All i do is shoot 3's or drive since i can't seem to get the plays working. BTW, how do i get the names for the rosters? i'm using numbers only, but idk how people name their rosters...

My PS3 also froze when trying to upload my playbook with created plays to 2KShare. So I concluded there was something in my playbook with created plays that was causing the game to freeze, but I can't say for sure as these games have some complex code in them.

I am experiencing Freezing as well when I try to upload my playbooks.

so, ive been reading this thread off and on for a few days to get a good idea of the collective info we have available to us. There is one thing I really haven't found, and maybe its in another thread that I haven't read yet. How do you judge how good a player is going to be. I understand that an A grade rating is the best you can get and a C means the player is average at best. but, how do you judge what you should expect from the numerical rating for the positions. i've been trying to follow what each of my players ratings and there doesnt really seem to be any consistency from player to player. I know that there really isnt any when you look at something like a PG and a C. But, when you look C to C, i dont really see consistency in the ratings. Ive seen two of my C both 3 stars at 80 for inside shooting. one is a B and one is a D. is there a factor I'm missing here?

It's based by position. A Center can be rated an A for speed and only have like 75 speed. Which is very good for his position. But if a PG had 75 speed, his speed grade will be closer to a C+

letter grade depends on the level of your scouts so whoever you send to attend the recruit's game or whatever take a look at his scouting rating
