Re: The College Hoops 2K8 esoteric information thread (learn and discuss the arcane)
Perhaps your PF progressed to the point where the game now considers him "better" than your Center... or maybe your Center is playing with a slight injury. If you don't like the default pick n roll guy, then use controller scheme A and manually select the person you want. It can be cumbersome to cycle through to the right guy.. so here's a tip. When you press LB, the first player that is highlighted is the player closest to the ball handler. So dribble close to your center and then just press LB, B. Only takes two button presses; the same as if you called Quick pick n roll the normal way.Comment

Re: The College Hoops 2K8 esoteric information thread (learn and discuss the arcane)
Here's something I found out quite by accident (for 360):
I have any number of abortive legacies on my hard drive, so I was deleting the ones I knew I would never look at again. One of those deleted happened to be first in the list of saved items. When I opened and saved a legacy I did wish to keep, it moved to the top of the list.
After some experimenting, I found I could locate my files wherever I wished by saving a copy of one file, deleting the original, and then saving the file I wanted to have replace it.
I thought this might be handy for people (like me) who have replays, roster files, setting files, team exports, and legacies piling up and hate trying to pick out which one you want from a massive list.Comment

Don't know if this has been posted yet
Manual Lead Passing
Manual Lead passing is done by passing the ball to the player while holding the left stick in the direction you want him to go. Great for having the player pop out for the open trey.Comment

Hey, I'm new to this game and haven't really searched this thread (forgive me), but I have a question. Is it possible for you to create playbooks and then use them in existing legacies? I can't seem to find out how to do so.Comment

When you are at the team select screen hit Y and it will take you to the game options screen. There you can change the playbook to whatever you want. It sucks you have to do it that way for EVERY game.Comment

THE SUNDAY GAME RECRUITING GLITCH
What is it?
It's a glitch that hinders your ability to recruit players. It happens if you have a game scheduled on the Sunday of that week, and will not allow you to visit or scout a prospect.
In the early recruiting period this can be crucial, as you only have 6 weeks before that signing period starts.
The way to work around it is to turn ON the ability to customize your schedule when you start a legacy. At the end of each season save your legacy on the very last day, sim ahead to the start of the next season and check the schedule to make note of the games on Sunday, go back and reload your legacy, and then reschedule the Sunday games as needed.Comment
