Giggas, some people hate Dirk so much they can't read correctly any comments he makes.

LOL, nobody hates Dirk. He hasnt done **** to make people hate him. He has no rings or MVPs so people arent jealous and he has done anything negative (like Kobe) to make people hate him.

I don't see why anyone would dislike him, I mean, I understand he's not on my team, but I can't believe someone would hate someone for not being on their favorite team.

It's ridiculous to assume that Dirk made these comments without a question, when it says:

He is knocking American Sports and he comes off sounding a little bitter by making this comment after his team gets torched for 62 by Kobe.

Some but I think thats the way with sports in general...no matter what country you are in. For example in College Football, while people appreciate what USC has done as a team...Reggie Bush gets a ton of individual attention. Same goes for Soccer internationally where Wayne Rooney, Ronaldinho and Thierry Henry are big individual stars.

I think the problem people have here is Dirk's timing. It just comes off as sour grapes after he and his teammates were embarassed. Do you think Dirk would have made the same comment if he or a teammate had gone off for 62.

I have. People have opinions...some are valid, some arent. I personally think Dirk is a great offensive player but a below average defensive player and lacks toughness. Thats just my opinion and I dont hate Dirk.

But its not like there is only one way to answer the question. Again, its sour grapes because Dirk wouldnt have answered that question that way if the question involved a teammate scoring 62.

Dirk is right. NBA has a lot of problems these days.
Nba focuses on individuals, because an average player today is way worse than an average player was back in the days.

I still have yet to see anyone answer the question that if it were Shaq, Duncan or Garnett that made those comments about the NBA game would anyone on these forms disagree with the statement?

I would still agree with shaq/duncan/garnett because those players play their positions really well and fundamentally. Well shaq has gotten lazy in the past, but he's still the beast in the middle and plays his position. Garnett does everything for his team and Duncan, we know he's the "big fundamental."

Oh, I know you werent referring to me but my point is everybody has an opinion but it doesnt mean that they hate him or are biased. We disagree on Dirk's defensive ability (saying he "isnt a great defender" is giving him too much credit imo) and toughness but that doesnt make my opinion or yours less valid.
