oh yea rsnomar, russell was an all time great no doubt but you have to consider than the celtics was the yankees of basketball in those times, while jordan had a terrible team and made them into a great dynasty

So did Russell. When he came in the Celtics were horrible. He brought Red his first championship. Red actually almost left Boston in frustration, but his cab driver refused to take him to the airport. Red agreed to stay one more year and Russell led the C's to the championship. So Jordan and Russell both turned their team into a great dynasty, only russell won 8 in a row and 11 out of 13. Jordan only won 6.

Its funny though how you could pose these questions on a group of people that grew up watching Russell and were still around to watch jordan and youd get close to a 50/50 split as far as who the GOAT is. But when you as people who only had MJ in thier era growing up , they pick and speak on what they know. Plus some people just dont want to loose the right to say they saw with thier own eyes the GOAT play.

yea but jordan also could at least had 8 rings, he retired for a couple of years remeber. that year he retired the bulls lost in the conf finals I think.

to blackceaser, who said jordan was far superior to the other players than kobe and lebron is to this era players. thats why is one of the GOAT's. thats why kobe anit as good as jordan yet. penny hardaway was as good as kobe was when he was in his prime and he wasnt on jordans level in the 90's. I can say the same thing about all of the other guards who played in the late 90's like clyde and D.wilkins. kobe and lebron are great players but the nba and us people want the next jordan soooo bad that will over hype these players and start calling guys the next MJ.That comment rite there prove that jordan mite be THE GOAT you dont hear poeple waiting for the next wilt or russell

I have an accounting degree. Marketing was for all the accounting and finance rejects. And again, its not that I dont comprehend it, its that I dont agree with much of it in spite of the fact that you put some effort into making that simultaneously poignant and pointless. It was a nice effort, just not completely correct. Id give it a 72% on effort...but as a marketing major you're probably used to C's when you enter the fold with accounting and finance people.
