Yeah it's a shame how it's working out like that. Still though, we are getting decent looks, the shots just aren't falling. You can't really place a blame on that, but the defense is definitely not stepping up.

Expansion's dilusion of talent and inconsistent officiating have turned off some fans, I get that...but it's still a great game, BK. If you can't enjoy the level of sheer talent and heart you see watching a guy like Nash, I really feel for you. Based on your post, I really think that being from a non-basketball city, you're just missing the classic franchises that you could identify with back in the day. Backk in the 80's everyone in the country could align themselves with either the C's or Lakes. The Knicks mattered, the Bulls mattered. They were America's teams. per se...making watching them more interesting. Now, those perennial contenders are less compelling personality-wise, and certainly from less exciting markets.

I think you just need a team to care about.

Being a Clipper fan, there may be something to that. But back then I enjoyed watching the Hawks, I enjoyed watching Showtime, and the Celts, and the Badboys. I enjoyed MJ and and the Bulls. I loved watching Nate McMillon, Tom Chambers and the X-Man up in Seattle. Loved watching Kersey, Porter and Drexler in Portland. Run TMC in Golden State was always entertaining. I guess maybe the stories back then were more compelling? Or maybe the players and teams themselves were easier to identify with?

As far as sheer talent nowadays. I see great athleticism, but I don't see many great basketball players, if you know what I mean.

I am watching tonights game off and on. I'll keep giving it a shot. Maybe next year, I just need to find a team to follow I can really get in to.
