I think that play may possibly wake up the sleeping giant that is LBJ. He has sort of been really passive in this series so far.

I'm sticking behind our guys, and I'm w/ EG. Our Cavs in 7 brothers...

That call sucked... can't believe he missed that. Anyone with eyes saw Bowen push LeBron, the only reason Lebron would go up and shoot that far away was because he was fouled.

I personally don't think he played that bad. he got fouled three times in the game and got no calls, that by itself will hurt a players confidence. he's a good enough player to expect that when he drives in the lane that he wont airball layups twice without getting it blocked and then he got hit by ginobli on a 3 that was very clear. if u dont get calls in this league, it can shatter ur confidence

I really think the cavs can beat the spurs

i actually think this will be a series that the spurs will win in 7 games.

The real battle in this series will be between Varejao and Bowen. Who can irritate, frustrate, and aggrevate the other teams superstar the most. Andy will be at his flopping best, and Bruce "I didn't kick you, your achilles just happened to be in my way" Bowen will be the SA's primary attacker. The other roleplayers matchup pretty well, IMO.

I'm rollin' with my superduperstar over their superduperstar...Cavs in 6.

This is why I'm happy in this series. People discount the Cavaliers, and don't think they can "hang" with the Spurs. Because we came out of the East, we aren't "as good" as the Spurs. Let your guard down Spurs... I'm not saying that I will guarantee a win, but I think it will at least go to 6 games.. if not 7.

I can see the Cavs taking control of home court... and stealing one at San Antonio.

I'm taking the Cavs in 5 or 6. I think the 2-3-2 format favors us, as it really puts pressure on SA in those first two games. I'm sure they don't want to go into the 3 straight games on our floor tied 1-1, or by some miracle down 0-2.

For some reason, I just don't see the Cavs losing this series. Gibson seems to have emerged, Donyell has seemingly found his lost shot. Lebron's lineup has provided a huge spark, w/ LBJ, Gibson, Jones, Marshall and token big man... I just see the Cavs coming away with it.

Call me a homer if you will (sarcasm.. don't do it), but I see us having a really great shot in this series.

so if and when we beat the spurs....whats going to be the reason this time? wizards...missing players...nets...weak front court...pistons...falling apart...but wait...they werent falling apart when they were thrashing the bulls...people were saying how the pistons are hungry for another champioship and gave them the east crown...the pistons didnt NOT take the cavs serious...they just were shut down...plain and simple...but its fine...keep not giving credit to the cavs...it will just make them more hungry

So...this is another mentor vs mentee matchup...only this time...not only because I am a Cavs fan...but I think the mentee will take this one...people dont realize...Danny Ferry bought some key pieces over from the Spurs orginization over to the Cavs. The Assistant Coach is now our Head Coach...and a couple of other people who made the Spurs what they are today. Mike Brown might not be the smartest but Pop didnt teach him EVERYTHING he knows about coaching and defense...he also coached under Rick Carlilse or however u spell his name lol...but I think Mike Brown knows way more about the Spurs system then the Spurs know about Mike Browns system. Its not a case where Don Nelson taught Avery everything he knows about coaching and actually watched him takeover games coaching and knowing his strategies...but...well see how this all plays out...Cavs in 6

Lol...good one. You bought yourself a whole lot of bad Karma...but your guys are kicking our a** so to the victor goes the right to talk smack. Wouldn't it suck though if Tony Parker like...broke his leg or something in the opening minutes of Game 4?

Bottom line:

The thing that scares me is that we just don't shoot all that consistently, and we can easily get blown out by this team if we don't execute offensively. I can just see Horry/Fin/Manu hitting big shots, and Marshall/Jones/Pav clanking them...but if those guys can knock down some open looks, we can play with these guys

CLEVELAND -- I've been pretty harsh on the Cavs this week, so let me say this: They totally outplayed the Spurs tonight and deserved to win.
The reason they didn't was the NBA's ultimate wild card: The 3-point shot. Both teams attempted 19 shots from downtown, and the ones by the Spurs didn't seem any more open than the ones by Cleveland were. If anything, in fact, more of the Spurs' attempts were contested. But unfortunately for the Cavs, San Antonio made 10 of those tries, while Cleveland hit only three.
Part of the reason, of course, is that the Spurs have better shooters. They were one of the league's best 3-point shooting teams during the regular season, ranking third at 38.1 percent, while the Cavs' 35.2 percent mark ranked just 18th.
But that difference shouldn't produce a 21-point disparity from the arc -- the difference between a Cavs romp and a narrow defeat -- as San Antonio made 52.6 percent of their triples to the Cavs' 15.8 percent. Daniel "Boobie" Gibson went 0-for-5, seemingly all on clean looks, after scorching the nets from downtown all postseason. LeBron James also went 0-for-5, including the controversial miss at the end. Meanwhile, the Cavs were shot down by BBs at the other end -- Brent Barry and Bruce Bowen combined to hit 7 of 9.
The shame of it all is that the Cavs outplayed San Antonio in every other facet:
• Take away 3-pointers and San Antonio shot 36.7 percent, to Cleveland's 43.3 percent.
• The Cavs routinely beat the Spurs to loose balls and more than doubled up the Spurs on offensive boards, 15 to 7.
• The Spurs made 14 turnovers to Cleveland's 12.
• The Spurs missed seven of their 16 free-throw attempts, including two misses by the normally steady Tony Parker in the first quarter.
• The Cavs held Spurs super sub Manu Ginobili without a field goal, and also kept Duncan (6-for-17) and Parker (7-for-17) well in check.
Combined, the "Big 3" of the Spurs shot 13-for-41 (31.7 percent) and had only 34 points.
• The Cavs had 19 assists to the Spurs' 15, despite the fact that nearly all the Spurs' 3-point makes were assisted.
So if there's a silver lining for Cleveland tonight, it's that if they play this well again on Thursday night they probably will extend the series. Alas, that's little comfort to Cavs fans at this point, as Cleveland's odds of winning look more remote than ever.
