    nahhhhh

people want bynum some people feel he just needs to play more, maybe some future draft picks coupled with that could get a deal done.

To think that they HAD Kidd and turned the deal down...even at 34, Kidd has three top years left. Kobe is 30, it's not like he can wait around. His peak IS the next three years. Him, Kidd and Lamar would have been amazing.
Kobe is 28 right now and turns 29 sometime down the year.

The Lakers will get help because some players see it as a place where they can help get a ring. Kobe doesn't need much help. You add someone like Jermaine O'Neal and you have a contender.

One of the reason they can't run thr triangle like they used to is because they don't have a dominant post up player or at least a above average one. O'neal is a above average post up guy I think, and I think trading Bynum for him and you have a great team..

People always talk like they need MAJOR help, when it is just guys that can get things done consistently. If Kwame gets 15 rebounds one game, he's not getting that the next game. Smush gets 26 points one game, next game it's not happening.

Suns will have to play much better if they want to beat the Spurs.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Unless Dallas pulls it out, it seems like the conference champs are going to be decided in the second round.

The Detroit vs. Chicago and San Antonio vs. Phoenix series are probably going to determine who represents their respective conferences in the finals.

These teams would probably be better suited to meet in the conference finals, but are instead going to duke it out in round 2.

I'm a huge Rockets fan, but meanwhile, we have Houston/Utah vs. Golden State (again, this is IF Dallas loses) or NJ/Toronto vs. Cleveland. Not quite the draw that the other two series have.

If I had my way, I would put everyone in the PHX organization into a rocket, and send them right into the Sun. Seeing as I never get my way, I'm at least hoping that the Spurs take them out, because if not, the chumps will probably come out if the West.

              Oh BTW, congrats!

I still don't understand how you don't think our style of play is beautiful.

                Whatever.

I love watching your team play as a whole.

It's way different from the Rocket's "everyone stand camped in the corners waiting for T-Mac to make something happen off of picks"

I like watching Stevie in the halfcourt. I like the intensity and toughness Raja brings on D...I can apreciate these guys skills. But I will never support low percentage, all or nothing offense. An offense featuring a full 1/3rd of your attempts consisting of jacked up 3's is not "exciting" to me. On every possession 2 guys do nothing but run out to the 3-point line and stand there while Nash dribbles around the now wide open floor. Bah. Give me the Bulls constant 5-man movement any day of the week. Just my preference. To me the Kings offense of a few years back was beautiful to watch. These dudes couldn't create their own offense if their lives depended on it, which is why Nash is a 2-time MVP, and why these guys look absolutely butt without him.

As good as GS looked in their series, they looked pathetic trying to play straight up possession b-ball when they had to last night.

What are you talking about? You have things inverted. Low percentage basketball? You mean because guys like Amare, Nash, Bell, and Barbosa were in the upper tier of field goal percentage during the season?

Constant movement? Are you telling me the Suns dont move around? You're telling me GS moves around better? You're telling me GS has looked good? You want bad percentage shots? What about those HORRIBLE shots they kept taking? What in the world...I must be living in bizarro world.

Oh well, I don't even care. Carry on.

What is up with the Suns crazy ring around the rosies dance that my daughter does in pre school? Seriously, it should be a great rd 2 matchup with San Antonio. I say Spurs in 6.

I hate it too. Last year's "arms over shoulders" circle was much better.

                          This one is just, well....foofy.

That was a tough game for Kobe tonight. He wasn't making most of the shots he usually hits from outside and didn't get any calls going to the basket. He was really active on defense tonight though which was good to see. We need one more guy in the off season. I'm also hoping we can get Nick Young in the draft. Unless Luke can start playing like he was before the injury I'd rather see someone like Young on the court.

                              Just a quick note:

to those die-hard Lakers fans in this thread complaining about the refs, they did NOT affect the outcome of this series. The Lakers lack of energy coupled with the fact that the Suns are a superior affected caused the outcome of this series.

And if you don't enjoy watching the Suns execute, then you simple are not a fan of basketball.

And yeah that was a really poorly officiated game. I'm not just saying this cuz I'm a Laker fan it was really that bad.
