Nash, Allen, Garnett, Brand and Ming. At some point I assume Kobe and Iverson would get in a heated argument over shots, Jackson would take one shot and get killed for it while Rasheed would curse out the refs and Ben would sit there and watch it all happen.

You know, in a way I can almost understand the man Stephen Jackson more after that short interview then I could before. Lets face it, Jackson is a hot head, plain and simple, but ESPN and other media outlets arent out there to make a player look human they are out there to make certain individuals look like horrible people and Im afraid that at some point Im even guilty of letting ESPN effect my opinion on people.
This is completely off the subject but I think it is somewhat related. Years ago ESPN ran a story about Mark McGwire and all the foundation and charity work he does locally in St Louis, pre-steroid talk, and they made him look like a great guy and I was really touched by the guy. Then ESPN started killing him for steroids and andro etc and it did slightly alter the way I saw the guy, in the end he still did the great community work and spent tons of time with charities when it wasnt necessary but for some reason I let ESPN alter my outlook on the guy.
Everyone here in STL knew that he and Howard were good friends and we understood what he meant about Glavine (sort of).
But we all knew about all the charity work he does while the rest of the country was killing him.Comment

Tomorrow night is the perfect reason why Shawn Marion should be a Sun for life.
And to fowess or whoever thinks KG will help this team..Seriously what the hell is Garnett going to offer that Amare doesn't do, besides his better rebounding? It makes NO logistical sense to me.Comment

Even when Nash retires I would still rather have a team of Barbosa and Amare to build around rather then Barbosa and an aging Garnett. Steve cant play forever but Barbosa seems like a capable replacement as long as he can learn to slow down from time to time and not play so out of control all the time, mix Barbosa with Derron Williams' great ability to pick his spots when to break and hes going to be just fine.Comment

I think Duncan is unstoppable right now and Garnett wouldnt do any better then Thomas or Amare. Duncan is so complete in his offensive game that the only chance you have is to stick a big strong guy on him and hope to push him away from the basket and into taking tough shots but if he gets position then its lights out.Comment

And, from what I've seen regarding the Suns down the stretch in games (and I will be more than happy to admit I'm wrong if I am) is that they seem to lose any ability to get off good shots down the stretch if someone puts the cuffs on Nash or Nash's shots aren't falling.
Now, KG does have a tendency to dissappear in the clutch BUT if things are breaking down in crunchtime then you can just dump the ball downlow to KG because he's more polished down on the blocks than Amare.
Now, Simmons also said that with KG the Suns will be able to play ANY style they want effectively.

Duncan is unstoppable, so you can't worry about who's going to do what on him. That's just not feasible.
You worry about the other guys, and KG doesn't help stop the other guys.Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
I already said it: The Suns most likely will always have to go thru the Spurs to win it all and Duncan kills them all the time, so Simmons' rationale behind trading for Garnett is that Garnett is the one human on this planet who could ALMOST neutralize Duncan. KG would be an upgrade on the boards (marginally) and defensively.
