Well, the NBA is due for a good Finals. There hasn't really been a good one since 1998.

I thought Utah had a chance too. Maybe when they go home.Comment

Yeah ok, since the NBA lives and breathes off "casual fans" So many people hate the game cause it is labeled as a bunch of thugs, so now you are going to turn even more fans away with two of the more un-entertaining teams in the league instead of say a Phoenix.
Yep, this'll do wonders for the league. Another low rating finals.Comment

How's that a foul on Ginobili when Okur is the one leaning to his side into Ginobili?!

Personally I think they cater enough already to the casual fans, hence the calls that stars get or better yet the non calls they get on teh defensive end that allow them to stay in the game longer. And yes the NBA does make their living off the casual fan, they are the ones they target with these goofy commercials they shoot with the likes of David Blaine, a hardcore NBA fan isnt going to be drawn in by those rediculous commercials but the casual fan might and thats exactly what the NBA is going for. Phoenix wont make the finals, case closed, we can debate all day that Phoenix would have made for a more exciting matchup, and it probably would have drawn more of the casual fan base in, but there isnt anything that can be done about it. Some people enjoy watching two teams grind it out where every bucket counts because the respective defense for both teams is so good, others enjoy watching a run and gun style of offense where minimal defense is played and then there are the hardcore NBA fans who enjoy both for what they offer, I guess thats where I fall I suppose.Yeah ok, since the NBA lives and breathes off "casual fans" So many people hate the game cause it is labeled as a bunch of thugs, so now you are going to turn even more fans away with two of the more un-entertaining teams in the league instead of say a Phoenix.

David Blaine makes me want to slice myself. And unlike his magician ***, I don't want to come back to one piece.Comment

Lol, I wasn't gonna put it that way, but I agree. That has to be the worst marketing campaign ever.Comment

I thought the same thing but it cant be ignored that it has happened once San Antonio got a 20 point lead or so, and I think that obviously has something to do with it. I would prefer that Utah win this series but I dont think there is any chance, unless a big injury happens to the Spurs.Comment
