not hard to score 31 pointsa when u getting wade treatment, because the nba wants to build up a pippen to for lebron. -

I actually like LeBron because
1... he choses to make the right play over trying to be a ball hog all for his own
2...the guy trusts his teammates no matter what and he has no qualms about Daniel Gibson, Gibson? getting 30 points (more than himself) in a crucial game for some shine.
In all honesty, I'm tired of the moronic so called experts criticizing players for being unselfish and passing the ball and prasing a losing formula in chucking shots for a one hit her quit her night of pleasure.Comment

That's the one thing I'm worried about. If they call the Finals the way they called the last couple of games of the Cavs-Pistons series San Antonio is in trouble. It's one thing when your superstar is getting the calls, but damn somebody looks at Gibson and he's going to the line. And Varejao you barely touch this guy and he goes flying into the fifth row.Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

The streets of C-Town were ridiculous. Music blasting, everybody celebrating. Everybody talking Cavs. Listening to a pissy-drunk teen who never sat through a full game talk about what LeBron was going to do to the Spurs weak defense was pretty entertaining, Lol. It was crazy.
Congrats to the hometowns. Great series. LeBron's leadership, focus, and decision-making were off the charts, and Mike Brown was proved to be Miyagi-like with the wax-on, wax-off defensive principles and rotations he's pounded into these guy's heads. These same principles are the reason the Spurs are the premier organization in the league.
Major props to Larry Hughes for overcoming another tough injury, and playing just enough minutes to hand the baton to Boobie in rythm. His work on pestering Billups was huge, and more than made up for his sporadic offense.
What can you say about the 22-year old that already hasn't been said? I really thought LeBron should have taken the shot in game 1, but that kickout to Marshall ended up being the signature play of the series. That pass proved he would always trust his teammates reguardless of the situation...which led directly to the lack of help for Tayshawn in game 5 down the stretch (the Pistons were spread out with Pav, Gibson, and Marshall camped behind the arc), which in turn led to Boobie and others having gravy looks in game 6.
LeBron gave it to you any way you wanted it...or didn't want it, Lol.
I knew these guys were better than they played during the reg. season. The little things they did with consistency were what beat Detroit. Running out on every 3-pointer, boxing out, swiping, disrupting. Most importantly putting a body on the dribbler coming off picks. For alot of teams that's a blocking foul...but if you commit to doing it on every screen, the refs are going to allow it to a degree. That takes a staple play right out of your opponents playbook. Thats huge. When DET did it to LeBron, he was strong enough to take it around that corner or hit some really nice step-backs. The Pistons just don't have that kind of perimeter player. If the Cavs did those little things night in and night out, they'd win 60+ yearly. No need to waste energy running up and down the court like maniacs, trying to keep up with the popular kids of the NBA.
D-Fence. I think they get it now.
It's sad that pukes like Simmons are now now going to pile on Chauncey, a great defender and playmaker who can knock down timely shots, but such is the media. The real issue, IMO was that the Pistons really missed the combined leadership of Ben Wallace and Larry Brown on and off the court. Funny how hot guys are praised so quickly, and a dominant club like DET can be damned so quickly. Ah well, sucks for them. The road to the East now goes through CLE, and barring injury or LeBron skipping, should be so for the next decade. I see many ring-chasers jumping on the James train in the near future.
On another tangent, I really hope 24 took note of how much easier life can be when you trust your teammates within the flow of a ballgame.
Anyway, I think the CLE/SA should be huge, hopefully Browns familiarity with the SA system will help a little. He will need it against one of, if not the very best coach in our league.
The real battle in this series will be between Varejao and Bowen. Who can irritate, frustrate, and aggrevate the other teams superstar the most. Andy will be at his flopping best, and Bruce "I didn't kick you, your achilles just happened to be in my way" Bowen will be the SA's primary attacker. The other roleplayers matchup pretty well, IMO.
I'm rollin' with my superduperstar over their superduperstar...Cavs in 6.
Good luck.Last edited by HMcCoy; 06-03-2007, 07:26 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

No, I don't. I meant best and funny as in "wow, what a f****ng idiot, how could someone be that stupid?".
I can't see how anyone can be so stupid to think that the referees would call a game with the mindset of giving a guy calls so he can become the next Scottie Pippen.Comment
