    Re: Kobe Bryant\'s Mentality

THe perfect example would be a player from UNM.

His name is Ruben DOuglas, his team is 8-12, he's averaging 27.5 ppg, 2nd in the NCAA. 33.3 ppg in 8 conference games.

The personal stats go on forever. But his teammates suck.

He puts up 20 shots a game somtimes which is a lot for college games and players, but I know him, and he'll give up all of the personal achievements to win more games.

He's scoring and shooting so much because the opponents can't stop his hot shooting touch.

In my opinion KObe has it easier. He has Shaq on his side. Ruben has nobody, I really mean, NOBODY.

Maybe after last nights performance, he'll realize, he can be stopped and that he won't shoot above 60% all the time.

He is young, but he is very talented. Don't blame kobe. If you have to place the blame on somebody, blame Kobe's teammates. THey get paid good money too and aren't acting like NBA players and world champions.

Kobe is acting like he's deserved those rings.

The Kobe Bryant Mentality of Basketball is simple and user-friendly. All you have to do is completely over-exaggerate what coach Jackson tells you to do. For instance, if Coach Jackson tells you to play as a team, then using the Kobe Bryant Mentality, all you need to do is shoot for a triple-double every game. However, if Coach Jackson asks you to take over a little more of the offensive responsibilities, you should pump up as many shots as possible, regardless of whether you are open or not. The simple idea behind this is that as long as you score 40 points, then you have achieved your goal.

I'm sorry but I thought he stole that from MJ didn't he, cause before Phil came to Chicago and even for a couple years after Phil was there, MJ was nothing but a glorified ball hog.

Slip, I appreciate the fact that you are a Kobe fan as he is a great player. But son, how do you expect Fox, Horry and Fisher to score when they each average 2 shots per game and Kobe throws up 41? How many shots did Kobe force last night? He tries to win games by himself and that is not how you win games. When you have the most dominant center in the world on your team, along with a very good 3-point shooter (Horry) and an average PG, you should NEVER throw up 41 shots unless you hit 35 of them. 41 shots is unexcusable!!! Plain and simple! Mark my words, if Kobe shoots 27 shots that game and gets 10 assists, they win that game by at least 5. David Robinson was not even playing and Shaq took half the shots of Kobe and Kobe was being defended by the best defender in the league. How do you explain doing something like that??? Simple, he wanted his points!

i knew this would happen. i knew that once the laker's winning streak would snap, all the haters would start talking. it like they think just cuz lakers are back to back to back champs, they have to win every game to prove that its for real. but their streak had to end, and now the haters r gonna wait for thei next winnning streak to end as well

That is a huge exaggeration. Fox Horry and Fisher avg 2 shots? Where the hell did you get those stats from? Anyway I have watched almost every lakers game this year and Kobe rarely goes over 30 shots agame. He has had 4 games in about 50 where he has shot more than 30. I see ur trying to make a point but dont make up statistics to prove your point.

In the Denver game in the 4th qtr with about 6 mins left Fox had 13, but everyone else had 2 and 4 points except Kareem Rush who had 6 points. That was bad, and Shaq didn't even score 20 points, and Kobe had about 46.

He's pretty good. I like him a lot. He makes a few mistakes and cant bring the ball up the court when theres pressure, but he's only a rookie. He has a nice stroke and ability to take it to the hoop.

There is no way Kobe was going to get 10 assists last night. His team-mates sucked. Fox had 0 points, Horry had 5(opff 6 shots), Walker had 4 off of 4 shots...it just wasnt going to happen.
