Wanna know why Shaq hasn't been the go-to man? read this...

Limping after a Saturday practice, the Lakers center told The Los Angeles Times that he would again start taking the anti-inflammatory drug Indocin to help with the pain in his left knee and right big toe.

Very interesting...looks like we may get a chance to see Kobe temporarily lead his team again.

The haters and lovers will be watching.

what do u think Kobe has been doing for the last 8 games? it's not likely that shaq will actually sit out. But he's definitely not 100% on the court now. Just look at the spurs game, outrebounded 20-5 by duncan!!!??! that's not right.

The Kobe Bryant Mentality of Basketball is simple and user-friendly. All you have to do is completely over-exaggerate what coach Jackson tells you to do. For instance, if Coach Jackson tells you to play as a team, then using the Kobe Bryant Mentality, all you need to do is shoot for a triple-double every game. However, if Coach Jackson asks you to take over a little more of the offensive responsibilities, you should pump up as many shots as possible, regardless of whether you are open or not. The simple idea behind this is that as long as you score 40 points, then you have achieved your goal.

I'm sorry but I thought he stole that from MJ didn't he, cause before Phil came to Chicago and even for a couple years after Phil was there, MJ was nothing but a glorified ball hog.

See the real problem was Kobe didn't get to the line enough. If he did, he would've only needed like 25-30 FG attempts to get his 40 points.

Yeah, Kobe played selfish for at least one game. But so what? Who hasen't? He's not perfect. I think we all know that most of the greatest players of the past and most of the greatest players of today tend to keep the ball with them, especially when they're shooting well.

Yeah, that's right, I'm an MJ fanboy, you jerkoff. I have explained many times that Jordan had plenty of bad nights, but my point is that Jordan would score 40 points almost every game BEING THE MAIN THREAT ON THE COURT. He was the one who commanded the double and triple-teams, therefore he was scoring all these points on double and triple coverage. Due to the fact that Shaq commands double-teams, Kobe is ALWAYS playing one-on-one basketball, which is why he is scoring so easily. But if the defenses switched up and put the double on Kobe, he would average 25 ppg, no doubt.
And how about tonight's game, huh? Shaq was out and again, Kobe had a chance to show what he is made of and what did he do? He scores his 40 points throwing up 31 shots, shoots under 50% from the field, and the Lakers lose in LA to the fabulous powerhouse Knicks. So now the Lakers are what, 3-11 without Shaq? Call me what you will but Kobe is no Jordan and never will be. Yes, he is a fantastic player but to compare him (or anyone else, for that matter) to Jordan is sick and disgusting.

Personally I think T-Mac is a better all around player than Kobe but I do realize that Kobe is still playing better than anyone else right now in the league. I don't see why you feel you have to call me a jerk off just because I pointed out that you are all over MJ, which I wouldn't have pointed out if you hadn't called out mad for his love of Kobe. I mean I could care less who's who but I call it like I see it, unbiased.

And you're right Kobe is no Jordan I never really liked MJ and I still don't, but I love to watch Kobe play it makes me wish I could play and I guess I'm just one of the few that never liked MJ and thought he was quite selfish early on in his career.
