The Kobe Bryant Mentality of Basketball is simple and user-friendly. All you have to do is completely over-exaggerate what coach Jackson tells you to do. For instance, if Coach Jackson tells you to play as a team, then using the Kobe Bryant Mentality, all you need to do is shoot for a triple-double every game. However, if Coach Jackson asks you to take over a little more of the offensive responsibilities, you should pump up as many shots as possible, regardless of whether you are open or not. The simple idea behind this is that as long as you score 40 points, then you have achieved your goal.

I'm sorry but I thought he stole that from MJ didn't he, cause before Phil came to Chicago and even for a couple years after Phil was there, MJ was nothing but a glorified ball hog.

Even PHIL JACKSON SAID, "I dont think Kobe taking 41 shots is effective. I think 27 is more realistic" or something along those lines. Skillz, you can insult me until the end of the world, that's your juvenile prerogative. But the fact remains that Kobe is shooting all of those shots not for the good of the team but so he can score his 40 points and try to break all types of scoring records. Your argument has no basis. I am backing every argument I have with proof. So insult me all you want but everyone here knows that i am the only one making any sense.

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Why don't you bring up Phil's quotes from the last seven games?? And now you're telling me that Kobe shot 41 times just because he wanted 40points, and not because he wanted to win the game?!? Here's Phil's exact quote:

"We looked like a one-man team tonight, maybe a little over the edge in some ways," Jackson said. "Twenty-five [shots] is a reasonable number. But I think that was over the edge tonight. But, hey, the kid played hard.... We'll just try to get back in some kind of balance."

Sounds like Phil is saying Kobe forced it a bit tonight but he played his heart out and it's no biggie, we'll get back into a flow next game.

        Here are some Kobe quotes:

"We definitely have to have everybody more in a rhythm," Bryant said afterward. "Next game, I'll make a more conscious effort to do that."

Then he grinned and added, "I'm not going to panic over one loss. San Antonio's playing excellent basketball right now. We lost one game."

Yup, he definitely sounds like a selfish ballhog who doesn't care about winning But then again if he comes out with a triple double tonight against the Knicks you'll probably say he was trying to pad his assist numbers.

Oh I forgot....ask any ex teammate of Jordans, he pushed them to be better than they could have ever been themselves...He demanded exellence from them. I feel he would have made shaq the meanest most aggressive player maybe ever! Shaq would have definatly been better than he is now. It would have been amazing to see.

Wanna know why Shaq hasn't been the go-to man? read this...

Limping after a Saturday practice, the Lakers center told The Los Angeles Times that he would again start taking the anti-inflammatory drug Indocin to help with the pain in his left knee and right big toe.

no that's not true. didn't you hear? it's because Kobe is a selfish ball hog. Shaq doesn't know what he's saying, Kobe probably threatened him and made him say that he is hurting so that Kobe will have an excuse to try and get 40 points every night.

I don't care what anyone says MJ was a big ball hog too, because he knew just like Kobe that he was the best player on the court, yes Shaq is a force but he can't shoot like Kobe he's a big man and that's not his style. Look Shaq has been the man in L.A. ever since he got there, can't you people see that he's giving Kobe his due, he's saying hey I've been MVP a few times now I'm gonna let Kobe do what he's gotta do, because he's past due.

The reason Padgoi doesn't like Kobe is because Padgoi is a HUGE Jordan fanboy and he can't accept that there is someone out there they may break MJ's record. Pippen was in Chicago the whole time Jordan was there but tell me when did Pippen ever avg as many points as Shaq is right now with Kobe? Never because MJ was too busy taking 30-40 shots a game to give Pippen a 24.0 avg. Man I can't believe you would call madskillz out for riding Kobe's jock, when you ride MJ's just as hard.
