Bama you a-hole don't you know by now you're always wrong Don't even bother arguing with pagodi, spagetti, raviolli, what ever his name is. Because he obvisouly knows everything. Anyways Jordan was a ball hog when he was younger it's true but it's also true that he did'nt have the talented teammates around him right from the get go like KB8 did. I mean Kobe would'nt co-exist with Eddie Jones nor Van Exel so they traded em. If Jordan had Shaq, EJ, Elden Campbell and Van Exel to start his career with well it just makes me giddy to think about it. That my friend would have been a scary team. But shoulda, coulda, woulda. Anyways no need to stoop to pagfabio's level and get into senseless name calling, let me do it!

        Re: Kobe Bryant\'s Mentality

QuickSilver, the only reason I called him a jerkoff is because he called me an MJ fanboy and I am not. I call it like I see it. I am sick and tired of these Kobe fanboys saying that Kobe is the next MJ and I got frustrated. I apologize for resorting to name calling. However, I do feel strongly that Jordan will not be equaled. However, Kobe does have an amazing amount of talent and potential, he just isn't utilizing it correctly yet. Instead of throwing up forced shots, he should be driving to the hole and dishing out or giving it into Shaq. But he has been taking a ridiculous amount of shots and it seems to me he is only doing so to get his points. In the first few games, Sportscenter was making a big deal about Kobe's points but they are not anymore because he is throwing up too many shots. Jordan used to do this taking less than 30 shots every game. My point is that Kobe seems to be doing this for individual purposes and that is not what the game of basketball is about. But I do apologize for name-calling.

Okay here's one of his many threads showing his fanboyism of MJ:

            http://forums.operationsports.com//u...rue#Post229469

I'm not a Kobe fanboy I could care less, I call it like I see not because I have to ride someone's jock. I did some number crunching and if you want me to list them to prove it I will but Kobe is only averaging right now 23 shots per game for the season, which is a still lower than Jordan in 85-85 when he was averaging 27 shots per game. So get off his jock and look at the stats, the stats prove Jordan ball hogged just as much but you're too biased to see that.

who the hell are you to tell Kobe that he isn't utilizing his talent correctly!?!? 3 titles indicate otherwise. oh, but that's right.... i forgot... it was all Shaq, nothing to do with Kobe. And now that i think of it, the Lakers have lost 2 games in a row after winning 7 in a row, so i guess you're right, Kobe is really wasting away his talent.

                    Re: Kobe Bryant\'s Mentality

Saying that we should all appreciate what Jordan did for the game is being a fanboy? I wasn't aware that that was the definition of the word fanboy.
And Skillz, I asked you politely to keep your remarks to yourself. i already know that you wanna lick Kobe's jock so you dont have to let everyone else know.
Someone please lock this thread. As most Kobe threads that Skillz interrupts, this one has gotten off topic with the meaningless name-calling.
You know what . . . Skillz, it is not worth my time conversing with you any longer in this lifetime, so Kobe is God, ok! Does that make you happy? He is a God and will surpass every record ever set by anyone else. Now do me the favor of never again interrupting my threads? We all already know how you feel about Kobe.

Your arguments are getting old. On almost every thread your defense ends up being the same thing. The Lakers won 3 championships, so in your mind Kobe is the best player in history. I know that's not a direct quote, and I'll admit it right now before your next post contains information on how much you love Michael but think Kobe will be better.

Robert Horry has more championships than Kobe.. and he plays with Shaq. He hits more clutch shots than Kobe.. is he a better player? no.

We're talking about individual play here, and when Kobe plays this way his teammates are left out of the mix unless he scores 40+ points and shoots above 50%, which isn't easy to do. When he starts sogging and cooling off he actually hurts the Laker offense because of his mind set. Do you think Michael Jordan played simply to score points and break records? because that's what Kobe is doing now.

This has been said a million times, just like the bland replies you think up when people start to give some thought into their criticism of Kobe. But take Shaq and throw him on a number of teams with star guards, and they'll win the championship. Kobe sucks without Shaq, the team is built around Shaq, Kobe has yet to show he can win without Shaq.

When Kobe wins a game w/o him, you can reply to this post.

I dont understand you guys one minute when he's only scoring 20 ppg you all say hes trying to pass too much and he should score more THEN he starts putting up more shots at or near a 50% clip and scoring at a rat of 42 ppg and you complain he's a ball hog etc etc etc. Just cant please people when they dont like you in the first place . If Rick Fox , Devean George and Horry would start making those WIDEEEE OPEN!!!! shots the lakers wouldnt be in this situation.
